Abstract

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has established the COVID-19 pandemic as a National Disaster. The government requested that the community conduct social distancing in order to prevent the transmission of Corona Virus or COVID-19. Activities that are usually done outside the home, such as work, study and worship can be carried out inside the house (work from home). The application of social distancing (work from home) has an economic impact on people whose daily income is one of them being an online motorcycle taxi driver. From the research results obtained the application of social distancing (work from home) causes a decrease in online motorcycle taxi driver activity with a percentage ranging from -16.7% to -80.0% with an average value = -57.58%. The decline in activity caused a decrease in online motorcycle taxi driver acceptance with percentages ranging from -5.3% to -87.5% with an average value of -58.14%.

Abstract

The development of increasingly modern science and technology makes competition between UMKM increasingly tight along with the number of new competitive companies that have sprung up in the same industry. One of the industries that continues to grow and has fierce competition is the pharmaceutical industry, namely the pharmacy. Pharmacy Samudra is a trading company engaged in the sale of medicines. In the field of inventory, where at this pharmacy, no method has been applied in the planning process for medicine supplies, thus allowing for a shortage of stock (stock out) or excess stock (over stock) of inventory. Based on the problems above, the writer will examine the planning of medicine supply at the Samudra Pharmacy using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method. The results of this study for medicine with the most marketing size, namely ordering once for Betablock medicine of 70 boxes with a frequency of ordering 5 times, with Safety Stock for Betablock medicine is 131 boxes. And for the highest total cost, Cardisan medicine with total medicine costs Rp 5.512.125.

Abstract

Limbah merupakan buangan yang dihasilkan dari suatu proses produksi baik industri maupun domestik dan harus dikelola agar tidak menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan. Limbah terdiri atas limbah rumah tangga dan juga limbah industri. Limbah rumah tangga merupakan limbah yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas rumah tangga manusia sehari- hari misalnya mencuci, baik piring maupun pakaian dan memasak. Sementara yang dimaksud limbah pabrik adalah segala barang usang dari pabrik yang sudah tidak dipakai lagi yang berbentuk padat, cair maupun gas. Tentu saja limbah- limbah ini dihasilkan dari proses industrialisasi yang dilakukan oleh pabrik. Limbah industri ini dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi produk yang berguna bagi masyarakat diantaranya dapat diolah menjadi energi. Energi yang dapat dihasilkan seperti energi listrik, bahan bakar pengganti, dan lainnya. Pemahaman tentang pengolahan limbah ini masih banyak yang belum mengetahuinya khususnya siswa/i sekolah, maka kami dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas Harapan Medan, program studi Teknik Industri melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di SMA N 5 Medan untuk memberikan ilmu pengetahuan berupa teori dan studi kasus dalam mengolah sampah industri menjadi energi murah dan kreatif. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan di SMA N 5 Medan, dosen telah mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan dengan memberikan materi prensentasi tentang cara mengolah sampah menjadi energi murah dan kreatif.

Abstract

Proses belajar mengajar yang baik harus di dukung dengan sarana dan prasarana yang baik, faktor ini memicu peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Sejak pandemi Virus Corona di Indonesia, Pemerintah menyelenggarakan pembelajaran secara daring sehingga semua fasilitas sekolah tidak dapat berfungsi dengan baik karena tidak digunakan dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Hal ini berdampak pada fasilitas yang disediakan menjadi usang dan tidak digunakan sehari-hari. Saat ini dengan semakin berkurangnya efek pandemi, Pemerintah dan Kementerian Pendidikan mulai menerapkan kembali sistem pembelajaran tatap muka (luring) terbatas pada awal tahun ajaran 2021-2022. Menyikapi hal tersebut dengan mengikuti protokol kesehatan yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah sebagai bentuk pengadian kepada masyarakat, memberi bantuan fasilitas berupa rak sepatu multifungsi yang dapat digunakan di ruang kelas dan perpustakaan untuk mendukung sistem pengajaran di sekolah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di UPT SPF Sekolah Dasar Negeri 101862 Dolok Raga JL. Limau Manis, Tj. Morawa, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Dengan melengkapi sekolah dengan fasilitas rak sepatu diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi siswa dan mendukung pihak sekolah untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan bersih serta meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Biogas is an innovative product that is able to increase added value in household organic waste. Biogas is the result of the fermentation process of organic waste using Biodigester products. This service aims to help partners utilize organic waste into alternative fuels in the form of biogas. From several experiments that have been carried out, the composition of the comparison of raw materials for organic waste is 5 kg, 5 liters of water, and EM 4 500 ml. The biogas obtained is 13 psi with a long duration of use for 21.33 minutes. Biogas from household organic waste has the advantage of reducing the accumulation of organic waste and utilizing household organic waste as an alternative energy source. Energy from biogas can be used as household fuel. With the presence of biogas from organic waste, Sei Suka Deras Village has an alternative solution in utilizing household organic waste which has been a problem of air pollution, beauty and environmental comfort. Abstract

PT. Sumatra Hakarindo in its operation is not free from problems encountered such as work accidents, occupational diseases and the negative impact of the industry on the surrounding environment, so the level of human work safety as a factor of production is needed so that optimal productivity can be achieved. The application of work safety programs for workers is an important supporting effort in production activities. The work safety program system consists of several program elements and their supporters. In this study the measurement of the results of work safety efforts and the safe T value, the frequency level to express the number of accidents that occur every 1,000,000 hours worked from the employee's "work hours" home. The safe T value is a measurement that aims to compare the results of the accident reduction rate achieved for that work. From the implementation of the Occupational Health program at PT. Sumatra Hakarindo can be said to have been implemented quite well. Accidents that occurred in 2018 -2020 were 15,13,11 accidents. With a frequency rate from 2018-2020 it is 64.6; 49.9; 36,1. The severity level that occurred in 2016-2018 was 458.9; 284.2; 233,2. With a safe T value in 2018 it is known - 950.2 in 2019 it is - 1098.2. The decrease in accident rates and the severity of accidents from year to year will increase labor productivity.

Abstract

Setiap lingkungan kerja selalu memiliki risiko kecelakaan kerja besarnya kecelakaan kerja tergantung dari jenis industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindentifikasi proses kecelakaan pada PT. Sumber Sawit Makmur menggunakan metode Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) bertujuan untuk menganalisis bahaya kerja guna mengurangi angka kecelakaan kerja, peralatan kerja dan lingkungan kerja. Dan metode Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) metode ini bertujuan menganalisa penyebab terjadinya risiko yang didapat dari hasil HIRARC. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh pada 12 stasiun kerja dimana didapatkan 52 potensi bahaya pada pembuatan CPO minyak kelapa sawit tingkat penerapan manajemen risiko dalam PP RI No. 50 Tahun 2012 sebesar 50% yang berarti penerapan masih kurang dilaksanakan dan hasil Safe T Score dengan angka negatif menunjukkan keadaan membaik. Untuk mengetahui dan mengurangi kecelakaan kerja dimana harus memasang rambu-rambu larangan dibeberapa stasiun antara lain stasiun perebusan dan stasiun pres serta para pekerja wajib menggunakan alat pelindung diri (APD) yang lengkap serta melakukan perbaikan pada alat proses produksi.

Abstract

Opak Desi UKM is an UKM engaged in producing opaque crackers made from sweet potatoes/cassava. However, the work environment in these SMEs still does not have a clean kitchen standard. This clean kitchen standard is known as the GMP rules (Good Manufacturing Practice). GMP is a guideline for how to produce food with the aim that producers meet the predetermined requirements to produce quality food products in accordance with consumer demands. The problem is that the production area in SMEs is less hygienic and uncomfortable for workers and the flow of materials that occur experience cross movement, which means they intersect and also occur double tracking which causes the production process to be hampered. This research was completed using the assessment of the GMP checklist to evaluate the overall work system. The results of the checklist assessment are processed using the AHP method. The results of the assessment show that the criteria for storage and material handling with a weight of 1.65658 for UKM Opak are work system improvement priorities. Some of the proposed recommendations for improving the work system are the design of the SSOP work system, GMP, and the design of a new layout adapted to food safety and hygiene standards. The recommendations are expected to be able to increase productivity in the production process as well as safer, healthier and more comfortable working conditions.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) protects the safety and health of employees in carrying out their work, and strives to control all forms of potential hazards that exist in the work environment of PT. The Tea Factory Unit of Nusantara Plantation, Tobasari Plantation, is part of PTPN IV which operates in the argo industry. The main product to be processed is the. PTPN IV Tobasari Tea Factory Unit is a very risky work environment. In the factory production process, it is also not far from risks such as large fires. During the production of PTPN IV, the Tobasari unit needed an occupational safety program to develop employee creativity so that the quality and production results of the company were good. The method used in this study was to use the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Control (HIRAC) method. Hazard Identification identifies potential hazards that may occur, and the next step is Risk Assessment Control, namely assessing risks based on likelihood and Severity. The results showed that there were 12 potential hazards identified and categorized in 3 risk ratings, of which 5% were included in high risk, 26% were in moderate risk, and 19% were in low risk.

Abstract

PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is a company engaged in the pulp and kerta production business with domestic and foreign product marketing areas. PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is one of Indonesia's largest pulp and paper producing companies. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of the process based on existing off-grade products using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis methods to then control and analyze the causes of off-grade products and seek improvements. The results showed that there were 3 types of off-grade products: Low Brightness, Dirt Count, and Viscosity. From the calculation, the results were obtained that the largest off-grade products were X1 (viscosity) with a number of smallpox products as much as 167 tons with 26.95%, X2 (brightness) with a number of defective products with as much as 332 tons with 53.55%, and X3 (dirt count) with the number of defective products as much as 124 tons with 20%. From the FMEA results, the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value was obtained, namely 432 for the cause of failure due to irregular setting of the temperature and time of the digester and washing machine at Low Brightness failure. For continuous improvement, various aspects are carried out, namely human aspects, work environment, work methods, machines, and, materials.
