Pencobaan & 4 Kebajikan Jiwa Yang Dialami oleh Hamba Tuhan. Artikel ini membahas mengenai pencobaan yang dihadapi oleh hamba Tuhan dalam pelayanannya. Kemudian dari uraian tersebut kami menunjukan bahwa pencobaan-pencobaan seperti apa yang dihadapi oleh hamba Tuhan dalam pelayanannya. Kemudian dari uraian tersebut kami akan menunjukan bahwa pencobaan-pencobaan yang dihadapi menghasilkan 4 kebajikan jiwa dengan dukungan dari literatur-literatur bapa gereja dan teks-teks kitab suci. Dan pada akhirnya pencobaan yang dapat dihadapi dengan baik maka akan membawa seorang hamba Tuhan semakin dekat dengan Tuhan dan akan membuatnya semakin murni setiap hari.

The Semantics and Theology of Joy in the Philippians: A Revision of William G. Morrice’s Thesis On Joy Hendi

Joy is a fundamental doctrine in Christianity since it is the core message of the gospel and the fruit of the Spirit that distinguishes Christians' lives. William G. Morrice particularly investigated this issue, and this article tries to revise his thesis of joy to be more comprehensive. Joy must be viewed as a concept or meaning rather than a single word. With a discourse analysis approach and semantic domain, the writer tries to complete Morrice's research by improving his method, which only examines eleven synonymous words of joy. The Philippians is chosen as a sample discourse because this is the epistle of Joy from the Apostle Paul. Joy in the Philippians is a matter of relations with God (as Morrice views) and believers' relations with others (church), personal, ministry and mission, and material needs, and the environment.

The article is a commentary on the Spritual significance in the song of Solomon 1:6 based on Origen view of the song of song commentary and homilies origen and another book by Gregory of nysa as homilies on the song of song. It was a book that blotted out the black spiritual significance of the song of Solomon. Many of god’s servants today have been inspired to convey only the literal meaning of the song of Solomon, and are then complemented by the experience and testimony of that servant of God. With the intent of making the hearts of the congregation rejoice even if the message of the text that is presented is irrelevant to the lives of the congregation the servants of the Lord often underestimate or take for granted the spiritual meaning of the song of Solomon because it is viewed only as a song representing the love of a man and a woman who love each other. There are not few servants of the Lord who view the text of the song of Solomon as relevant only to married congregations or to those in their 17th year of age or older. Because it’s so rare that the song of Solomon is preached because it is considered irrelevant in the modern age because it is just plain. This was the basic for the writer’s conception to discuss the book song of Solomon 1:6. Artikel ini adalah sebuah ulasan tentang Makna Spritual Dalam Kidung Agung Ps. 1:6 pandangan berdasarkan Origen dengan judul The Song of Songs Commentary and Homilies Origen dan buku lain oleh Gregory of Nysa yaitu Homilies on the Song of Songs. Yaitu sebuah buku yang membahas mengenai makna spiritual hitam dalam kitab kidung agung. Kebanyakan di zaman sekarang ini banyak hamba Tuhan yang hanya menyampaikan makna dari teks Kidung Agung secara literal saja, kemudian di lengkapi dengan pengalaman serta kesaksian hamba Tuhan tersebut. Dengan maksud membuat hati para jemaat menjadi senang meskipun pesan dari teks yang disampaikan tidak relevan dengan kehidupan jemaatnya. Hamba Tuhan seringkali menyepelekan atau tidak serius dalam menyampaikan makna spiritual dari teks Kidung Agung, karena dianggap hanya sebagai suatu nyanyian yang melambangkan antara cinta seorang pria dan wanita yang saling mencintai. Tidak sedikit hamba Tuhan yang berpandangan bahwa teks Kidung Agung ini dianggap relevan hanya bagi jemaat yang sudah berkeluarga atau kepada jemaat yang sudah menginjak usia 17 tahun ke atas. Oleh sebab itu Kidung Agung sangat jarang di khotbahkan karena dianggap tidak relevan di zaman kekinian sebab hanya ditujuhkan kepada kalangan-kalangan tertentu saja. Pandangan ini merupakan pandangan yang dangkal karena salah diartikan. Hal itulah yang mendasari penulis sehingga penulis tertarik untuk membahas kitab kidung agung 1:6.

This article highlights an important event of the transfiguration of Jesus on the Mount of Tables which is recorded in the gospels from the writings of Origen and John of Damascus. The results of this paper show a reality that will be experienced by believers in spirituality until the second coming of the Lord, namely the form of divine light that is the same as God and the form of a body or flesh that will glow in glory when undergoing transfiguration. Purpose This article gives hope for every believer, in the struggle for spirituality will become like the radiant God. So the transfiguration event showed a state that transformed the conditions of mortality to divinity as experienced by the Lord Jesus Christ.Artikel ini menyoroti sebuah peristiwa penting transfigurasi Yesus digunung Tabor yang dicatat dalam Injil dari tulisan Origen dan Yohanes dari Damaskus. Hasil dari tulisan ini memperlihatkan suatu kenyataan yang akan orang percaya alami di dalam spiritualitas hingga pada saat kedatangan Tuhan yang kedua kali yaitu wujud terang ilahi yang sama seperti Allah dan wujud rupa tubuh atau daging yang akan bercahaya dalam kemuliaan ketika mengalami transfigurasi. Penulis melakukan riset literatur untuk menyatakan Tujuan Artikel ini memberi pengharapan bagi setiap orang percaya, dalam pergumulan akan spiritualitas akan menjadi serupa dengan Allah yang bercahaya. Jadi peristiwa transfigurasi memperlihatkan suatu keadaan yang mentransformasi kondisi kefanaan kepada keilahian seperti yang dialami oleh Tuhan Yesus Kristus.

Artikel ini menganalisis pemikiran-pemikiran para Bapa Philokalia tentang Hesychasm. Kajian literatur utama adalah tulisan mereka dan didukung oleh literatur sekunder. Philokalia yang berarti cinta akan kecantikan atau keindahan adalah kumpulan tulisan para Bapa Gereja dari Tradisi Gereja Ortodoks antara abad ke-4-15 tentang spiritualitas yang berpusat pada pembaruan batin atau hati. Hesychasm adalah tradisi monastik yang sudah ada sejak monasteri berdiri di abad ke-3 oleh Antonius Agung. Namun, sayangnya kekristenan di Indonesia khususnya di gereja-gereja Protestan tidak mengenal tradisi monastik ini. Hesychasm mendatangkan anugerah di dalam hati untuk menerangi nous sehingga kita dapat mencapai apatheia atau purifikasi, keberjagaan batin atau nepsis, penyatuan antara intelek atau nous dan tubuh, kebajikan-kebajikan. Dan itu semua adalah indikasi dari proses pembaruan hati sehingga apa yang dikerjakan oleh para hesychast sebetulnya adalah proses purifikasi atau pengudusan hati mencapai Theosis. Anugerah dari Roh Kudus melalui hesychasm inilah yang menguduskan atau menyucikan diri kita untuk menjadi serupa dengan Kristus.

Holiness is a familiar topic for Christians, of course. Even among believers today, churches usually emphasize holiness only in terms of morals, ethics, and good works. So it is not surprising that behind what appears on the outside, often the life of a believer hides heinous sins. Even the lives of servants of God, pastors, and church leaders are not immune from hidden corruption. A priest who is 50 years old, can molest a minor for years without being caught. This was even done under the guise of being a servant of God where the victim at that time became a student or child under the suspect's supervision. Seeing the reality of life like this, the writer believes that holiness cannot be seen as merely an external morality, but there is something deeper at play in it. Previous literature has attempted to explain what holiness is. This research tries to find the importance of διανοία in holiness by using the exegetical method, namely the interpretation of the verse by verse on the letter of 1 Peter 1: 13-16. By seeing the existence of διανοία (mind) which mainly contributes to holiness which then transforms one's actions to become holy. So the author took the wrong example of the text in 1 Peter 1: 13-16. The author analyzes the text and produces four points: first, διανοίας fully hopes on the grace of God. second, tighten διανοίας. Third, διανοίας is not indulgent. Fourth, Result of διανοίας. From the four points, the writer will explain how important διανοίας is in holiness.

The nobility of the priest is to be Christ's sole representative on earth and to mediate between God and men. The nobility of a priest is not just an office or an ordinary position, but the priest is a noble job that people do not have. Through literature research from John Chrysostom there are two important points in the nobility of the priest. First, what is the nobility of the priest, Second, discuss the role of the pastor in the spirituality of the congregation. The nobility of the priest ultimately leads man to experience or unite with the Triune God.Keluhuran imam adalah menjadi wakil Kristus satu-satunya di bumi dan menjadi pengantara Allah dan manusia. Keluhuran seorang imam bukan hanya jabatan atau kedudukan yang biasa-biasa saja namun imam adalah suatu pekerjaan yang mulia yang orang tidak miliki. Melalui penelitian literatur dari John Chrysostom ada dua pokok penting dalam keluhuran imam. Pertama, apa itu keluhuran imam, Kedua, mendiskusikan peranan gembala dalam kerohanian jemaat. Keluhuran imam pada akhirnya membawa manusia untuk mengalami atau menyatu dengan Allah Tritunggal.
