Abstract

Underachiever is a student who achieves below the level of ability or students who are expected to achieve an achievement with the level of ability possessed, but the reality is not as expected. Students who have a high level of ability can actually achieve an achievement. However, the reality in the field was found by students who had high intelligence but had low achievement in school. The purpose of this study is to describe the personality types of underachiver students in terms of personality types coasting underachiever ,  anxious underachiever , defiant underachiever,  wheeler-dealer underachiever, identity search underachiever, sad or depressed underachiever and their implications for guidance and counseling. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted in SMA N 3 Bukittinggi by involving 50 students underachiever class X and XI as a research subject. Data obtained by giving an instrument in the form of questionnaires to underachiever students . Then the data obtained is analyzed using percentage techniques.The findings of the study are the type of personality coasting underachiever are very hight category, type of personality anxious underachiever in the quite high category, personality types defiant underachiever in the very low category, the type personality wheeler-dealer underachiever in the low category, the type of personality identity search underachiever in the category of very low, the type of personality sad or depressed underachiever that are in the low category.

Abstract

Learning management is process and activities to manage the learning efforts and to keep the achievable of goals. Leaning management is also associated with interaction in learning process with other human beings as well as with learning environment, learning outcomes and the objectives. This research is based on the problems that cause the delay of completing the study of organizational activists among students. The research method is quantitative with descriptive approach. Research subjects involved in this study were as many as 73 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire. From the results of the study noted that the overall ability of student learning management among student activists is in the category of “capable”. This result study recommends campus’s leader to help the sustainability of “good“ learning management, counseling lecturers and UPBK (campus’s counseling center) should provide appropriate services in maintaining good learning management and improve management skills for students who are still “less able” to manage their learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the general picture of self-regulation learning is seen from the aspects of organizing and transforming (organizing and transforming), setting goals and planning (goal setting and planning), seeking information (seeking information), keeping records and keeping records. and monitoring), managing the environment (environment structuring), self-conseuences, repeating and remembering (rehearsing and memorizing), seeking social assistance, checking records (reviewing records). This research uses descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of SMK N 1 Solok, totaling 841 students and the sample in this study amounted to 222 students. Sampling in this study using stratifed random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire about self-regulation learning with a Likert scale model. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical techniques. From the research results it can be concluded that the self-regulation learning of SMK N 1 Solok students based on the following aspects: (1) self-evaluation is in the low category with a percentage of 74% (2) organizing and transforming is in the category low with a percentage of 67% (3) aspects of setting goals and planning (Goal Setting and Planning) are in the medium category with a percentage of 44% (4) seeking information (seeking information) are in the high category with a percentage of 48% (5) keeping records and keeping records and monitoring is in the high category with a percentage of 50% (6) the environmental structuring aspect is in the high category with a percentage of 42%.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by juvenile inmates is excessive fear experienced when interacting with new people when they are free to undergo a sentence or also called social anxiety, which requires guidance and counseling services. Guidance and counseling services are one strategy that can be used in alleviating social anxiety faced by prisoners. This article discusses counseling and guidance services that can be done to help alleviate social anxiety of juvenile inmates, which includes Social Anxiety for adolescent inmates and counseling and guidance services, including individual counseling services, group counseling, group counseling. With this service can be given optimal service to adolescent inmates in alleviating the problems faced.

Abstract

Technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK) is one of the smart solutions for implementing learning in accordance with the demands of education by integrating technology. The purpose of the study was to analyze the competency level of counselors in Indonesia in terms of age in terms of age, gender, and level of education. The research design used a cross-sectional survey in a non-experimental quantitative study. Respondents in this study amounted to 420 counselors in Indonesia obtained by using a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaire technological pedagogy content knowledge test for counselors (TPACK-TFC). The results of the study found that the TPACK was owned by counselors with an average score of 46.78 in the low category. Judging from the aspect of technology knowledge (TK), a score of 59.88 was obtained in the medium category, content knowledge (CK), pedagogical knowledge (PK), pedagogical content knowledge (PCK), technological content knowledge (TCK), technological pedagogical knowledge (TPK) was at a relatively low level. The results showed that Indonesian counselors have not fully integrated learning models using aspects namely technology, pedagogy, and content, and need to get attention from the government, higher education institutions, and the community for the development of quality guidance and counseling services and counselor careers in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of Socioscientific Issue (SSI) learning in class VIII science lessons at SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This study uses a description method by observing the learning that researchers do. Observations were made by three observers who observed the learning process by filling out observation sheets regarding the learning process from the opening, this activity, to the closing of the lesson. The sample of this research was 32 students of class VIII A at SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The research data that has been obtained is analyzed in the form of percentages and then described descriptively. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the implementation of Socioscientific Issue (SSI) learning has been carried out well, seen from the implementation carried out by the teacher with a percentage of implementation of 92%, but in practice there are students who are not focused and feel bored in learning so that the expected abilities are not achieved.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the types of plants, plant parts and methods of processing medicinal plants used by the community in Nagari Sungai Nanam. Knowledge of medicinal plants was identified based on directions from herbalists in the village. This research method is a descriptive survey method where researchers carry out direct field observations. Medicinal plant species were identified in the field and continued at the Botany Laboratory of PGRI University, West Sumatra. The results of the research that was carried out showed that 36 families with 71 species of plants were used as medicine. The parts of the plants used varied from the shoots to the roots. There are also processing methods such as boiling, pounding, mixing, blending, pressing and brewing, but not all medicinal plants found in Nagari Sungai Nanam are used as medicine in other places, so this knowledge can be used as knowledge that needs to be preserved.
