Abstract

students motivation to learns influence by input and output students like family. The parents need to create harmony family such as sakinah, mawaddah, warrahmah family. The fact, often fight in the family because their  parents carelless to their children. Purpose of the research to the test about correlation harmony family and students motivation to learn. This method quantitative with kind of descriptive correlational. Abstract

Abstract, Problems that occur in the field is that there are some students who do not communicate well skilled in the learning activities so that learning results are obtained not maximized. The purpose of this study was (1) Describe the communication skills of students SMAN 2 South Solok, (2) Describe the student learning activities SMAN 2 South Solok, (3) Looking relationship communication skills with students' learning activities SMAN 2 South Solok. This study uses quantitative correlational descriptive analysis approach.

Abstract

Dukungan sosial orangtua dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Siswa dituntut mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dalam proses pembelajaran agar mendapatkan hasil memuaskan. Namun kenyataannya masih ada siswa yang memiliki kepercayaan diri rendah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) dukungan sosial orangtua, (2) kepercayaan diri siswa, dan (3) menguji hubungan dukungan sosial orangtua dengan kepercayaan diri siswa. Metode penelitian kuantitatif jenis deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini kelas VII & VIII di SMP Negeri 22 Padang sebanyak 515 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 225 siswa dengan Stratified Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan kuisioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan teknik Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows 20. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa: (1) dukungan sosial orangtua berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, (2) kepercayaan diri siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, dan (3) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial orangtua dengan kepercayaan diri siswa dengan koefisien korelasi 0,649 dan taraf signigikan 0,000.

Abstract

Orangtua merupakan orang yang pertama dan utama dalam memberikan pendidikan terutama dalam mendisiplinkan anak. Disiplin dipandang sebagai upaya pengendalian diri dan sikap mental individu dalam kehidupan keluarga dan masyarakat dalam mengembangkan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan dan tata tertib yang berlaku yang bermanfaat dalam belajar. Berdasarkan fakta yang ditemukan di sekolah menunjukan bahwa banyak terjadi ketidak disiplinan oleh siswa seperti sering terlambat daatang ke sekolah, bolos, tidak mengerjakan tugas, keluar masuk di waktu pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran orangtua dalam disiplin belajar siswa, yang dilihat dari aspek: 1) peran orangtua dalam mengawasi anak dalam belajar, 2) Peran orangtua dalam mengajarkan kemandirian pada anak , 3) Peran orangtua dalam mengenali teknik belajar anak, 4) membantu menghilangkan kecemasan dan kejenuhan anak dalam belajar. Jenis penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 7 Padang dengan jumlah 902 siswa dan Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 239 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket dan data dianalisis dengan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa secara keseluruhan peran orangtua dalam disiplin belajar siswa pada umumnya cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik ditinjau dari aspek :1) Peran orangtua mengawasi anak dalam belajar cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik, 2) Peran orangtua dalam mengajarkan kemandirian pada anak cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik, 3) Peran orangtua dalam mengenali teknik belajar anak cenderung berada pada kategori baik, 4) membantu menghilangkan kecemasan dan kejenuhan anak dalam belajar cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran orangtua dalam disiplin belajar siswa berada pada kategori cukup baik.

Abstract

Academic stress is a condition where there is a mismatch between environmental demands and the actual resources owned by students so that they are increasingly burdened by various school and academic pressures and demands. The fact that occurs in the field there are still students who experience academic stress in following the teaching and learning process in school, both viewed from the physiological, psychological, and attitude aspects. This study aims to describe the description of the academic stress level of high school students from physiological symptoms, psychological symptoms, and attitude symptoms. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted at Payakumbuh 1 High School, involving 264 high school students as a research sample. Data obtained by giving research instruments in the form of a questionnaire to students. The results of the study are processed to find a percentage and then categorized according to the level of academic stress. The results of the study revealed that, firstly the academic stress of students SMA Negeri 1 Payakumbuh was in the low category with a percentage of 68.56%. This means that students SMA Negeri 1 Payakumbuh are able to control situations or conditions that cause academic-related stress. Secondly, the academic stress of students related to physiological symptoms is in the low category. Thirdly, the academic stress of high school students related to psychological symptoms is in the low category. Third, the academic stress of high school students related to attitude symptoms is in the low category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students trying to open pornographic sites via smartphones, students seeing how expensive smartphones are owned as a measure of social status, and there are students who are not happy when the use of smartphones is limited by teachers. This study aims to: (1) describe the attitudes of students using smartphones from the cognitive components, (2) to describe the attitudes of students using smartphone users from the affective component, and (3) to describe the attitudes of students using smartphone users from the conative component. This research is a type of quantitative research with descriptive methods. The subjects of this study were all students of SMPN 4 Lembah Melintang West Pasaman Regency who were actively registered in the 2019/2020 school year. The number of subjects was 32 students with the criteria of students using smartphones. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the study revealed that (1) the attitudes of smartphone users in terms of cognitive components were in the low category, (2) the attitudes of smartphone users in terms of the affective components were in the medium category, and (3) the attitudes of smartphone users in terms of the components. conative is in the low categoryBased on the research findings, it is suggested that BK teachers or school counselors be able to provide guidance and counseling services, information services, individual counseling services, group guidance services to students, in order to help and minimize students falling into the wrong attitude towards smartphone use.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize, process, and control emotions so that individuals are able to respond positively to any conditions that stimulate the emergence of various emotions. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students who have low emotional intelligence. This study aims to describe how the general description of students' emotional intelligence is seen from the aspects of recognizing one's emotions, managing emotions, motivating oneself, recognizing other people's emotions, and building relationships. This research uses descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of SMA N 2 Padang, totaling 1,038 students and the sample in this study was 321 students. Sampling in this study using stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire about emotional intelligence with a Likert scale model. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical techniques. This study describes the emotional intelligence of SMA N 2 Padang students based on the following aspects: (1) recognizing self-emotions in the low category with a percentage (55%), (2) managing emotions in the medium category with a percentage (69%), (3) motivating self is in the low category with a percentage (49%), (4) recognizing the emotions of others is in the medium category with a percentage (66%), and building relationships is in the medium category with a percentage (68%).

Abstract

Self Adjustment is an individual's effort to establish good relationships by changing circumstances that can change individuals to enter into a social environment in their interactions. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students who have a low adjustment to their peers. This study aims to describe how the general picture of the adjustment of students with their peers is seen from the aspects of personal harmony, harmony with the environment and the ability to deal with tensions of conflict and frustration.This research uses descriptive quantitative research. The population in the study were all students of SMA Adabiah Padang, amounting to 587 students and the sample in this study amounted to 238 SMA Adabiah Padang students who were selected using proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire about students' adjustment to the Likert scale model. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical techniques.This study describes the adjustment of SMA Adabiah Padang students with their peers based on the following aspects: (1) personal harmony is in the medium category with a percentage (46%), (2) harmony with the environment is in the medium category with a percentage (41%) and ( 3) the ability to overcome conflict and frustration is in the medium category with a percentage (57%).

Abstract

Authoritarian parenting is a pattern of parenting in which rules and limits must be obeyed without giving the child the opportunity to state that if the child does not comply, they are threatened and placed. This authoritarian parenting can lead to misunderstandings in children, less initiative and activities, so that the child is not confident in his abilities. Meanwhile, emotion is a response to a stimulant that causes physiological changes accompanied by strong feelings and usually contains the possibility to erupt. This study aims to reveal the relationship between authoritarian parenting and student emotions at SMPN 12 Padang. This research is a descriptive correlational study, with a sample size of 229 students who were obtained using stratified random sampling technique. Stratified random sampling. The data collection instrument used a linkert scale questionnaire which was compiled by itself in data collection using the google forms application. The results of this study are (1) authoritarian parenting styles are generally in the high category with a frequency of 137 and a percentage of 59.8%, these results reveal that authoritarian parenting of students at SMP Negeri 2 Padang is in the high category. This means that many students feel authoritarian parenting style; (2) students' emotions are in the high category with 161 frequency and 70.3% percentage, these results reveal that the emotions of students at SMP N 12 Padang are in the high category. This means that many students are able to recognize their emotions; (3) there is a significant positive relationship between authoritarian parenting and student emotions at SMP Negeri 12 Padang. So, the higher the authoritarian parenting, the higher the students 'emotions, and conversely, the lower the authoritarian parenting, the lower the students' emotions.

Abstract

Menopause is a condition of cessation of the menstrual cycle and reduced function of reproductive organs in middle-aged women. When facing menopause, changes in body, emotional, cognitive, and hormonal changes occur. Changes experienced by women in this period cause anxiety because they face situations that have never been experienced before. This study was conducted to find out how women's anxiety in Jorong Balai Badak faces menopause. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted at Jorong Balai Badak Nagari Batu Kambing Agam Regency, involving adult women from the ages of 40 to 50 years as the subject of the study. Data was obtained by giving research instruments in the form of questionnaires to women entering menopause. The results of the study were processed to find percentages and then categorized according to the level of anxiety. The results showed that, first, the anxiety level of women facing menopause was in the moderate category with a percentage of 41.30%. Both women's anxiety facing menopause related to aspects of behavioral response belong to the high category. The three women's concerns facing menopause are related to aspects of categorized cognitive response. The four concerns of women facing menopause related to aspects of affective response are classified as moderate.
