Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to analyze the character of the environmental care of state high school students in Pekanbaru City by implementing the adiwiyata program, held from October 2018 to April 2019. This research uses the survey method. The parameters in this study are the character of environmental care in students. The data was obtained through a questionnaire that had been distributed to public high school class XI students in Pekanbaru City. The results showed that schools with independent adiwiyata levels were included in the good category with an average percentage of 2.90%. This school with independent adiwiyata level shows better results than national and city adiwiyata. with a percentage of 2.7% and 2.75% respectively. Based on the results of the study, independent level adiwiyata schools are categorized as good in forming the character of environmental care in students. While the national and city adiwiyata schools show that the character of the student's environment is categorized as sufficient.Key Words: Enviromental Care Character, Adiwiyata

Abstract

Abstract: Changes in the environment and human activity at this time is one of the causes of water pollution in various waters such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs and at sea. This study aims to determine the quality of the waters of the Indragiri River based on indicators of the macrozoobenthos community. The study was conducted in March - December 2019 along the Indragiri River in Kuantan Singingi Regency and was identified in the FKIP Biology laboratory of the University of Riau. Research results are integrated to design handouts. Determination of the research station by purposive random sampling by setting 5 stations and 3 random sampling times. Biological parameters observed were species composition, density, diversity index, species richness index, dominance index, and community similarity index. Physico-chemical parameters measured are temperature, pH, brightness, current strength, and DO. Data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the analysis, there were 6 types of macrozoobenthos composition. Based on the composition of the type of quality of the Indragiri River classified as moderate to severe. Based on the diversity index of macrozoobenthos, the quality of the waters of the Indragiri River is classified as heavily polluted to very heavy and the measurement results of the physical physics factors of the Indragiri River waters are classified as mild to severe. The results of research on the quality of the waters of the Indragiri River are used as material for the design of material handouts for environmental changes, specifically water pollution.Key Word : Macrozoobenthos, Physic-Chemical Water Factor River Water Quality.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the amount of litter production in the traditionalForestDistrictof Jake Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency and produce a learning handout design on ecosystem material in class X high school. The research took place in April-May 2019. The study consisted of two stages, namely the analysis stage of average forest litter production and the handout design stage. The stage of field data collection was carried out with descriptive research, data collection by survey methods, determination of sampling points by purposive random sampling. The parameters in this research are the composition of Jake Indigenous Forest Littering Forest and the supporting parameters in the form of environmental factors that affect litter production. The results of thestudy were obtained by calculating the production of Jake Indigenous Forest Prohibition Litter to meet the needs of organic materials needed in the forest ecosystem. Abstract

Abstract: Domestic waste is one of the source of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) that affect climate change. GHG emissions from the waste sector, including domestic solid waste are generally in the form of methane (CH4) generated from landfills (TPA) and carbon dioxide (CO2) generated from open burning activities. Waste banks have the potential to reduce GHG emissions because they reduce the generation of waste that will be disposed of in the TPA. This study aims to determine the level of reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from waste banks in Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted in Pekanbaru City from March to May 2021. The type of research used was descriptive quantitative research with a total sampling method covering 30 unit waste banks and 1 main waste bank managed by the Environment and Hygiene Service (DLHK) of Pekanbaru City. The data obtained were analyzed using the IPCC guidelines with accuracy level Tier1. The results showed that the waste bank in the city of Pekanbaru reduce GHG emissions amounted to 0.082 tons of CO2eq (8.37%) in the year 2019 and amounted to 0,018 tons of CO2eq (1.84%) in 2020.Key Words: Waste Banks, Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions, IPCC

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills on quality material for the interaction of living things with their environment in class VII junior high school. This research was carried out at the Biology Educations Laboratory of Teacher Training and Educations, University of Riau and the state junior high school 1 Pekanbaru in October 2020- January 2021. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE’S research model consisting of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this research, it is limited only to the development stage. Data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets and questionnaires of respondens. The results of the validation of student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills are at an average value of 3.68 with a very valid category. The results of the limited test score are 3.64 with a very good category. Thus, student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills in the material on the interaction of living things with their environment class VII junior high school has been successfully developed with a very good quality and can be implemented on a wider scale.Key Words: Student Worksheets, Multiple Intelegences, Critical Thinking Skills

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) with the use of Azolla microphylla feed and its potential to produce a module design on the material for growth and development of living things in class XII odd semester KD 3.10 and KD 4.10. This research was conducted from May to August 2020 at Danau Selais LPPM Riau University. This study used 2 stages, namely. Phase I research used quantitative descriptive to determine the growth of tilapia on Azolla microphyla feed with different feeding percentages. Fish were grouped into 3 treatments and 1 control. Fish are reared in different cages with different percentage of feeding. The research parameters included absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, specific growth rate, and survival rate. Phase II research is a module teaching material design that uses 2 stages, namely, the Analyze and Design stages. The results of the experimental stage of research, feeding Azolla microphylla affected the growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). P3 treatment (giving 5% Azolla microphylla from fish biomass) is the best dose in increasing the growth of tilapia. Resulted in the absolute length growth of 4.24 cm, absolute weight 11.72 g, 4.68% relative growth, 0.021% specific growth rate and 99.4% survival rate. The P3 treatment resulted in a growth which was much lower than the P0 treatment (control).Key Words: Growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), Azolla microphylla,Design of learning modules

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to be used as a source of information about the composition and structure of the palnton community as a bio-indicator of water quality in the Indragiri River. The study was conducted in the Indragiri River, Kuantan Singingi Regency from May to June 2019. The parameters measured were biological parameters and physical chemical parameters of the waters. This research is a descriptive study consisting of research stagein the field and poster design stage. The study was conducted in 5 stations with a purpose random sampling technique, while data collection was carried out using a survey method. The method in this study consists of 2 stages, In the study of Media Poster design using the Addie model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that the composition of phytoplankton in theIndragiri River was found in 5 classes, 23 species and 333 individuals. While the zooplankton composition in the Indragiri River found 5 classes, 8 species and 35 individuals. The highest phytoplankton composition was Closterium kuetzingii with a proportion of 8.11% and the highest zooplankton composition was Nebelia cartosi at 28.57%. The highest abundance of plankton was found at station I, the highest index of plankton species richness was found in stations I and III, the highest plankton evenness indexwas found in stations I and V, the highest plankton diversity index was found at station I. While the plankton dominance index at all stations was low or close zero.Key Words: Fitoplankton, Zooplankton, Kualitas Perairan

Abstract

Abstract: A research has been conducted to find out the community's way of preserving the forest in July-August in Sentajo Raya sub-district of Kuantan Singingi district of Riau Province. The purpose of this research is to understand the local wisdom of the community in the management of Sentajo Raya Forest Protection Area and to analyze the potential of research results As the Design of Biology Module in SMA grade X . This research is carried out in two stages, the data collection stage and the module development stage. The design of the study using survey methods. Determination of samples using snowball sampling technique. The research parameters include planning, utilization, controlling, maintenance, supervision and law enforcement. This study uses primary and secondary data, the data are analyzed descriptively. The module design stage was carried out on the Bina Widya Campus of Riau University by analyzing the research result, potential research results as a source of learning, and design an appropriate learning module for Basic Competence 3.2 Analyze the different levels of biodiversity in Indonesia along with its threats and preservation. the results of the research show that the Sentajo Society has local wisdom in implementing the management of Protected Forest areas, including: Planning, Utilization, Controlling, Maintenance, Monitoring and Law Enforcement. In addition, the community local wisdom in managing Sentajo Raya forest protection area can be used as a design of learning modules on biodiversity conservation material.Keywords: local wisdom, forest management, and module design.

Abstract

Abstract : Changes in environment and human activities now is one of the causes of water pollution in various waters such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs and at sea. This study aims to determine the quality of Rangau River waters based on the plankton community indicator. The study was conducted in October 2017 - January 2018 along the Rangau River and was identified in the FKIP Biology laboratory of the University of Riau. The results of the study were integrated to design the handouts. Determination of research station purpose random sampling by setting 8 stations and 3 random sampling. Biological parameters observed were species composition, abundance, fairness index, species richness index, dominance index, and diversity index. Physical-chemical parameters measured are temperature, pH, brightness, current strength, DO, CO, BOD and COD. Data were analyzed descriptively. Based on soil analysis obtained composition type fitoplankton consists of 19 species and composition of type zooplankton consist of 4 species. The result of the analysis of phytoplankton abundance value is quite high compared to zooplankton. Based on the phytoplankton diversity index, the waters quality of Rangau River is classified as mild-moderate. While the index of zooplankton diversity shows the quality waters of the Rangau River classified as medium-heavy. And the result of measurement of physical chemistry factor of water exceeds quality standard with water quality criterion based on BOD, Rangau River classified as mild. Result of research of Rangau River water quality is used as material of material handout design of environmental change precisely water pollution.Keywords: Plankton, river water quality, physic-chemical water factor, handout.

Abstract

The College Library is the most important supporting facility to support the activities of the Academic Community. The purpose of establishing the Library is to be able to fulfill information needs in the form of printed media in the form of books that can be accessed by everyone In this sophisticated age, doing work manually might be somewhat lacking in updates. Because of this era of globalization, the design of information systems with computerization has mushroomed in the world. At Tri Mitra Karya Mandiri Polytechnic Library, data storage for students who borrow or return books is still manual, the weakness of Human Resources can be one of the factors that will neglect employees about the importance of the archive. But basically a good relationship between library users with a good attitude will make the library space pleasant. But basically a good relationship between library users with a good attitude will make the library space pleasant. So the solution is given to be able to manage the archive properly, the author chose Mrs. Access to design databases with Access-based filing systems. With the hope that this information system can provide convenience in managing book circulation, book maintenance and member data. So that the reports needed will take place quickly. And this solution is given to improve the service and performance of librarians in terms of managing library administrative data and speeding up borrowing and returning books from students of Tri Mitra Karya Mandiri Polytechnic.
