Abstract

The learning condition in studio pedalangan Serengan which is not yet systematically arranged needs some improvements. The activity aims to give knowledge and/or practice of pedalangan to the audience in studio pedalangan Serengan especially garap catur. The material given is sabet lakon Gathotkaca Sungging presented by Ki Nartasabda which is edited by Purbo Asmoro. The method used in learning of pakeliran practice in studio pedalangan Serengan is appreciation, giving speech, and demonstration. Based on the method, students are able to master material sabet well. The materials include sabet of the characters: Duryudana, Baladewa, Durna, Karna, Sengkuni, Nilayaksa,  Kartamarma, Jayadrata, Gathotkaca, Samba, Setyaki, Antareja, Dewapawaka, Abimanyu, Semar, Gareng, Petruk, Bagong, Pragalba, Anoman, Arjuna, Banowati, Lesmanawati, and Bhatara Guru. Besides that, other materials are also given covering sabet jejer kahyangan dan Ngastina, sabet  adegan babak unjal, sabet bedhol jejer, sabet budhakan, sabet jaranan, sabet perang ampyak, sabet budhalan buta, sabet abur-aburan gathotkaca, sabet Werkudara mlumpat, and sabet abur-aburan Kresna and Janaka.Key words: studio, pedalangan, sabet, puppet

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the diversity of insects in lowland rice farming in Bungaraya Village, Siak Regency as a biology pocket book design for class X SMA. The study was carried out in lowland rice farming in Bungaraya Village for insect sampling. Meanwhile, insect identification was carried out at the Laboratory of the Biology Education Study Program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, FKIP, Riau University. This research was conducted in October - November 2021. This research consisted of two stages, namely identification and analysis of insect diversity, the second stage was the design of a pocket book. Parameters measured in this study were insect species composition, insect diversity index, air temperature, humidity, and light intensity. The results showed that the diversity of insects at rice planting age had different diversity. Insect diversity at stations I, II, and III was moderate. The diversity index value at 30 days of rice planting age was 1.87, 60 days of rice planting age was 1.58, and 90 days of rice planting age was 1.55. The types of insects found in lowland rice Oryza sativa Kampung Bungaraya consisted of 5 orders, namely Odonata, Orthoptera, Coleoptera, Hemiptera, and Lepidoptera. The results of the study can be used as an alternative source of learning in the form of a pocket book for learning biology in high school.Key Words: Insect, Arthropoda, Pocket Book, Bungaraya

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' science process skills through the application of Project Based Learning based LKPD on environmental pollution material for Class X Senior High School. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Kuantan Singingi. The method used in research is development research (Research and Development). Sources of research data came from 25 students of class X IPA 3. Research design using one group pretest posttest only. Data collection obtained from the preetest and posttest results of the student's Science Process Skills instrument. The results showed that the students' science process skills experienced an increase in the posttest results, from 63.5 to 83.5 with a medium increase (N-Gain 0.54). From the research results, it can be concluded that LKPD based on project based learning can be used as a medium for learning biology in high school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in students' knowledge through the application of reference books based on socio-scientific issues with the theme of LGBT (Lesbi, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) which have been developed previously and integrated into the reproductive system material in class XI humans. The research was conducted at SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. The method used in this research was a Research and Development. Sources of research data came from 50 Class XI MIPA students. Research design was One group pretest posttest only. Data collection obtained from the pretest and posttest results of students' knowledge. The results showed that the students' knowledge had increased in the posttest results from 52.8 to 86.7 with a relatively high increase (N-Gain 0.71). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that reference books based on socio-scientific issues with the LGBT theme can be used as additional biology learning media in high school on reproductive system material.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the diversity ofdecomposer insects at the Muara Fajar Final Disposal Site (TPA) of West RumbaiDistrict, Pekanbaru City as a biology pocket book design for class X SMA. Decomposerinsects were sampled using purposive random sampling. As for the identification ofinsects, it was carried out at the Laboratory of the Biology Education Study Program,the PMIPA FKIP Department, Riau University. Parameters measured were speciescomposition, diversity index, and dominance index of decomposer insects. While thephysical-chemical parameters include the degree of acidity (pH), soil temperature, soilmoisture, and light intensity. The data were analyzed descriptively, with the result thatthe composition of the decomposer insects found at the Muara Fajar Final DisposalSite, West Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City consisted of 7 orders, 13 families, 20species with a total of 3103 individuals. Meanwhile, the diversity index of decomposerinsect species was moderate with index values ranging from 1 to 3. The highest diversityindex was found at station II (H'=2.447), and the lowest at station III (H'=2.078). Theresults of the research were used as a design pocket book for class X high schoolbiology learning to enrich learning resources on biodiversity material.Key Words : Decomposer Insects, Pocket Books, Muara Fajar Final Disposal Site (TPA)

Abstract

Abstract: Research has been carried out which aims to determine the types of butterflies in the Riau University campus area. The research was conducted at the mini stadium orchard, Fisip orchard and Faperta orchard in August-September 2022. Sampling was carried out using an insec net. Then the butterflies that were caught were put into temporary storage bottles to be identified. The results of the research on the diversity of butterfly species in the Riau University area were then developed into posters that were used as learning resources. The design of poster media was carried out at the Biology Education Binawidya Campus, FKIP, Riau University.Key Words: Diversity, Butterfly, Posters

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted in May - June 2022 with the aim of knowing the bivalve community structure in the mangrove area of Tanah Merah Village for the design of handouts as biology teaching materials for class X. This research was carried out in the mangrove area of Tanah Merah Village for bivalve sampling while for identification of bivalves carried out at the Laboratory of the Biology Education Study Program, PMIPA FKIP Department, Riau University. The parameters measured in this study were species composition, abundance, diversity, dominance, temperature, salinity, pH, sediment type, and organic matter. The research method used was a survey method, where sampling samples used the squared transect method. At the study site, 3 (three) observation stations were determined, three transects were drawn at each station, where each transect was placed in a 5m x 5m square plot. Based on the research results, 3 species of bivalves were found, namely Anadara granosa Phapia textile, and Geloma erosa. Bivalve abundance values obtained between stations ranged from 0.57-0.89 ind/m2. The index value of species diversity ranges from 0.68-1.51, which is classified as moderate and the dominance index value ranges from 0.37-0.71. The results of the study can be used as an alternative teaching material in the form of handouts in class X high school biology learning.Key Word : Bivalve, Handout, Structure Community

Abstract

The formulation of the problem is, Can the use of concrete teaching aids increase the activeness of class VI students of SD Negeri 81/II Muara Bungo in learning Mathematics about the concept of building space? And, can the use of concrete teaching aids improve learning outcomes in mathematics about the concept of spatial structure in sixth grade students of SD Negeri 81/II Muara Bungo? The purpose of this study is to describe the use of concrete teaching aids in mathematics learning can increase student activity and to describe the use of concrete teaching aids in mathematics learning to improve student learning outcomes. The research subjects were the sixth grade students of SD Negeri 81/II Muara Bungo, totaling 23 students consisting of 7 male students and 16 female students. This research cycled with four stages, namely planning, implementation (action), observation (observation) and reflection (reflection). The data in this study were obtained through tests. The test results showed an increase in the class average value from the initial condition which was only 63.5 with a 34.7% completeness level to 67.8 with a 60.9% completeness level after the first cycle of action. After the second cycle of action, the average results student learning increased again to 82.6 with a 100% completeness rate. In conclusion, the use of concrete teaching aids can increase the activity and learning outcomes of Mathematics about the concept of building space in grade VI students of SD Negeri 81/II Muara Bungo.

Abstract

Abstract: Bagasse is a waste resulting from the production of sugarcane stems which can be used as compost. The composting process uses an EM4 bioactovator to speed up the composting process. In the composting process will occur fertilizer fermentation process. This study aims to determine the effect of fermentation time of sugarcane bagasse (Saccharum officinarum L) fertilizer on N and C/N content. This research is an experimental study in August-October 2021. Experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. The data will be analyzed using ANOVA. If there are differences in the data, an LSD follow-up test will be carried out at the 0.05% level. The treatment was in the form of long fermentation, namely 14 days, 21 days, 28 days and 35 days of fermentation. The parameters observed were N and C/N levels, temperature, humidity and pH. The results showed that the duration of fermentation with the EM4 bioactivator affected the levels of N and C/N of sugarcane bagasse bokasi fertilizer (Saccharum officinarum L). The highest N and C/N content was found at 35 days of fermentation.Key Words : Bagasse, EM4, Fermentation Time, N and C/N.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of various types of organic fertilizers on the growth of water spinach (Ipomea reptans Poir.). This research is an experimental research conducted in October-December 2021 at the Biology Education Nature Laboratory, University of Riau. This study used a randomized block design consisting of 4 treatments with 4 groups of replications so that there were 16 experimental units. The treatment consisted of control treatment, manure treatment, bokashi fertilizer treatment, and composter drum fertilizer treatment. Data was collected by measuring plant height, number of leaves, and plant wet weight. The results showed that the application of various types of organic fertilizers had a significant effect on the growth of water spinach (Ipomea reptans Poir.). Bokashi fertilizer produced the best growth with a height of 37.80 cm, a total of 23.25 leaves, and a wet weight of 21.74 grams.Key Words: Organic fertilizer, Growth, Ipomea reptans Poir.
