Abstract

Language as a means or tool of communication owned by humans ini general to convey ideas, ideas, and information to other people. Human life cannot be separated from language because language is the mots important means of communicating every day. And the information conveyed will be well received if the speaker (speaker) and listener (opponet) both understand the language used. code mixing does not only occur in spoken from, but also occur in spoken form, but also occurs ini spoken language which is written ini the form of discourse. The problem analyzed in this study are (1) the form of interference in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy (2) the function of code mixing in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The purpose of research is to find out the form of code mixing in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative form, namely describing the form and function of the occurrence of code mixing contained in the novel Bidadari Bemata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Based on data analysis in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, it was found that there was a mix of regional language codes (Javanese) and foreign languages (Arabic and English) totaling 47 data. mixing code in the form of words, mixing in the form of phrases, mixing code in the form of repeated words, mixing code in the form of compound words or idioms. The functions behind the code mixing in the novel Bidadari with Bening eyes by Habiburrahman El Shirazy are (1) for respect, (2) to emphasize a meaning, (3) to show self-identity, and (4) because of the influence of speech.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain about (1) The form and purpose of the conversation that contained in the Dilan Film: Dia adalah Dilanku tahun 1990 by Pidi Baiq, (2), The specific criteria for conversational implications in the Dilan Film: Dia adalah Dilanku tahun 1990 by Pidi Baiq, (3) The factors that cause the emergence of conversational implicatures in the Dilan Film: Dia adalah Dilanku tahun 1990 by Pidi Baiq. The research used was a descriptive qualitative research method. The subject of this research is a film titled Dilan: Dia adalah Dilanku tahun 1990 by Pidi Baiq. The results of this study found that forms and intentions, specific criteria of implicature, conversation, and factors that attract attention, such as the forms and intentions of conversational implicatures, the special criteria of conversational implicatures, context-dependent can be canceled, can be calculated and cannot be released. sensitivity, and changes in the topic of conversation. The factors that underlying are the factors of closeness and intimacy, sensitivity, and changes in the topic of conversation.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to find out the functional structureand socio-cultural values contained in the novel “Suara Samudra CatatandariLamalera” by Maria Matildis Banda. The theories that used in this research were (1) the meaning of the novel, (2) the building blocks of the novel, (3) functional structure, and (4) aspects of socio-cultural values. The data was collected by observation, documentation and literature. The data in this research was analyzed using qualitative techniques, Instrument as a media in gathering data hence, all data were arranged systematically. The steps in data analysis using data triangulation analysis, which were (1) data reduction (2) data presentation (3) data verification. The results of this research also indicates the findings of three functional structures, namely the functional structure between Lyra and Arakian, the functional structure between Lyra and Mariana and the functional structure between Arakian and the Lamalera traditional Ritual. The novel “Suara Samudra notes from Lamalera” by Maria Matildis Banda also contains eight aspects of social status. Culture, namely elements of religion, elements of livelihood, elements of technology and traditional equipment, elements of art. elements of knowledge, elements of society, and elements of traditional rituals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the conventional form of implicature (actually general meaning) contained in the novel Jodoh Akan Meet by Lana Azim and Dwitasari and to describe the form of conversational implicature (conversation) contained in the novel Jodoh Akan Meet by Lana Azim and Dwitasari . The research instrument used is the researcher himself. Data collection is done by documentation method and observation method. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of this study show the findings of conventional implicatures (the true meaning of a general nature) and the form of conversational implicatures (conversations). The findings of conventional implicature forms (actual meanings that are general in nature) were found in the form of news sentences (declarative), interrogative sentences (inrogatives), imperative sentences (imperatives), and exclamatory sentences (exclamatives). The findings of the form of conversational implicature (conversation) are the form of news sentences (declarative), interrogative sentences (inrogatives), imperative sentences (imperatives), and exclamatory sentences (exclamatives).

Abstract

Balinese literature reflects numerous philosophical and spiritual concepts to live in harmony within the social and natural environment. Instead of identifying and describing the types of figurative speech, this study determined whether the figure of speech in Balinese literature reflected the education formation within Eco-cultural sustainability. Through a qualitative approach Balinese simile, metaphor, analogy, and personification found in 51 stanzas written in 7 lines to 10 lines were collected by a note-taking technique to know the dominant use of the figure of speech, characteristics, and education values. Each expression was analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that Balinese literature under investigation was composed of 42% comparative figures, 36% contradictive figures, and 22% correlative figures. Simile and metaphor were mostly expressed in Sampik Ingtai and the contradictive figure including hyperbole and irony took the second place. However, the number of animals, nature, and plants used as comparative words-object are rare and nearly extinct. This study enhanced a model of Ecocultural pedagogy to actualize character education for students’ social care and respect for the environment. So, the figure of speech in Balinese literature plays a prominent role in developing students’ affective competence holistically to gain sustainable intelligence, skills, and human value.

Abstract

Pemodelan sikap berbahasa guru dalam pendidikan anak usia dini dapat berpengaruh besar terhadap perkembangan karakter, kognisi, serta motorik anak. Sehingga, strategi berbahasa guru PAUD yang tepat dapat membentuk anak menjadi berkarakter, cerdas dan trampil. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi sikap kebahasaan guru dapat memaksimalkan tujuan afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotorik bahasa anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan strategi fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan dari 20 guru PAUD di Kecamatan Mengwi melalui tes unjuk kerja mengajar dalam vidio dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berhasil membangkitkan olah rasa bahasa, mengaktivasi realisasi bahasa, dan membangkit nalar kebahasaan Anak. Tingkat kompleksitas kalimat guru dikategorikan Sedang dengan jenis kata sederhana. Dari unsur prosodik, tempo ujaran guru bervariatif mulai dari Pelan ke Sedang dengan penggunaan gestur dan kontak mata yang tepat. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pemodelan verba pedagogi, guru dapat mengoptimalkan perkembangan sikap, nalar, dan realisasi bahasa anak dengan baik

Abstract

The question of whether the absorption and response of visual stimulation are more effective than the auditory stimulation of English sounds by Indonesian-speaking students has just been answered. This study aims to describe the mental system of visual excitatory selection of words and to hear the sounds of English and Indonesian laterally from a neurolinguistic perspective. This study applies a phenomenology-based qualitative descriptive approach. The informants of this study were 22 elementary school children. The method used to collect data in this study is the method of observation and literature with recording and note-taking techniques. The techniques used to analyze the data are statistical and descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the response to word sight stimulation is longer than the sound auditory stimulus trigger. From the point of view of the lateral mechanism, the responses of elementary school students to Indonesian word stimuli in English are, on average, more extended than the period for responses to English word stimuli in Indonesian. It is due to the limitations of the English lexicon, factors outside the language, psychological conditions, and combinations of motor movements that interrupt the focus of word calling. The lateral processing system model of words and sounds contributes to the teacher as a guide for implementing teaching strategies.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya peningkatan kemampuan siswa kelas VI SD Nomor 3 Puhu kecamatan Payangan dalam mendeklamasikan puisi melalui metode Pemodelan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan memberikan informasi bagi guru dalam menentukan metode pembelajaran mendeklamasikan puisi agar pembelajaran bisa lebih efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas, subjeknya adalah siswa kelas VI SD Nomor 3 Puhu kecamatan Payangan, yang berjumlah 24 orang siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik Observasi dan Tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam mendeklamasikan puisi mulai dari pra siklus hingga siklus III. Pada pra siklus nilai rata-rata kelas mencapai 5,4, Siklus  I nilai rata-rata kelas siswa mencapai 6,5, Siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 7,05, dan nilai rata-rata kelas siswa pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan menjadi 8,1. Hasil penelitian dari siklus I sampai III menunjukkan bahwa metode Pemodelan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif oleh guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, khususnya mendeklamasikan puisi agar pembelajaran bisa dilaksanakan secara efektif.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the essay-writing skills of students in Indonesian education institutions. A descriptive study approach was used to collect data from a group of students. Students were given three topics to choose from and were instructed to write academic essays within a certain time range. The student writings were gathered and scored using a scoring rubric that assessed several components of the essays. The data obtained were statistically analysed using descriptive analysis to describe the students’ essay writing skills. According to the findings of this study, the majority of students performed modestly on the writing test, with some performing better than others. The research found that the students struggled with organization and consistency, while their grammar and word usage still required to be improved. The study highlights the importance of enhancing students' writing skills to a higher level

Abstract

This study examines the analysis of novels with a structural approach that aims to (1) analyze the structure in the form of intrinsic elements that build the novel Bumi by Tere Liye and (2) categorize and describe the types of Bumi novels by Tere Liye, which focuses on the types of fantasy novels. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the data collection method, which is the first step in carrying out the observation method, followed by the reading and recording method. The source of the research data is in the form of data taken from the novel Bumi by Tere Liye. Furthermore, the data analysis method used is the flow model of analysis including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research conducted showed that the novel Bumi by Tere Liye has a complete structure and intertwining between intrinsic elements including theme, plot, characterization, setting, point of view, and language style that characterizes the author in the novel. The story in this novel is easy to understand because it uses an advanced or progressive plot by going through several stages, namely the initial stage (introduction), the conflict emergence stage, the complication stage, the climax stage, the resolution stage (problem solving), and the final stage. Characterization consisting of the protagonist and the antagonist. The setting used in this novel is also divided into a place setting, a time setting, and an atmosphere setting. The point of view used is the single first-person point of view as the main culprit. In addition, the type of Earth novels is included in the type of fantasy novels that are imaginative and imaginary of an author.
