Abstract

Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, karena penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pentingnya penerapan strategi ini,, langkah-langkah penerapan dan hambatan-hambatan yang dijumpai dalam penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dengan model pembelajaran kooperative tipe Student Team Assisted Devision (STAD) dalam Pendidikan Agama Hindu di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Tabanan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi atau pengamatan, wawancara, dan pencatatan dokumen (studi dokumen).              Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dalam Pendidikan Agama Hindu di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan telah mengacu pada  PP No. 19 tahun 2005 mengenai Standar Proses Pembelajaran meliputi perencanaan proses pembelajaran, pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran, penilaian hasil pembelajaran, dan pengawasan proses pembelajaran untuk bisa terlaksananya proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Dalam proses pembelajaran agama Hindu di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan dilaksanakan dengan sistem klasikal yang menggunakan pendekatan kelompok. Kendala dalam implementasi pembelajaran cooperative larning tipe STAD di lapangan, karena keberhasilan pembelajaran kooperatif dalam upaya mengembangkan kesadaran berkelompok memerlukan periode waktu yang cukup panjang dan hal ini tidak mungkin dapat tercapai hanya dengan satu kali atau sekali-sekali penerapan pembelajaraan ini.            Kendala-kendala yang dijumpai dalam implementasi pendekatan keterampilan proses dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dalam pendidikan agama Hindu di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan, terlebih dahulu didokumentasikan oleh guru untuk dikaji (dianalisis) dan dicari solusi terbaik agar dijamin kelancaran proses pembelajaran berikutnya. Langkah-langkah yang diambil oleh guru, yakni  (1) mengubah paradigma siswa bahwa belajar agama Hindu itu tidak cukup pada hal-hal yang praktis, namun secara konseptual agama harus dipahami sebagai penuntun kehidupannya agar terwujud prilaku yang baik; (2) memberikan contoh-contoh yang real dari pengalaman teman sejawatnya untuk saling berbagi, sehingga ia mampu merekonstruksi suatu konsep dalam pembelajaran.; (3) menentukan alat evaluasi dan skala penilaian yang didasarkan pada cara dan sumber mana yang digunakan, seperti pada ranah kognitif, afektif, dan pasikomotor; (4) pembagian anggota kelompok dimanipulasi sehingga tercipta kelompok yang heterogen dengan kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD

Abstract

The study of English assessment investigated the types and quality of test distributed to junior high school students and develop it into a software based test module. The study aimed to know how valid and reliable is  the multiple-choice test as a competence measurement device. The method or the design of the study applied the research and development with 4D phases, namely define, design, develop, disseminate through 1) checking syllabus, observing learning process, and constructing test items as module draft (INPUT), 2) considering validity and reliability of the test from the expert including trying out the tests (PROCESS); and 3) designing the appropriate test items into software products (OUTPUT). The  source of data was taken from the result of  observation sheet, interview sheet, questionaire and  the the result of tryout of model tests given to  SMPN 2 and SMPN 3 Mengwi students. The result of the study after being analysed quantitatively showed  that 63 test items was valid and 37 was invalid.  The fifty-valid test was distributed to students of SMPN 3 Mengwi. Based on the result, the mean score was 72.53. 21 of 40 students passed the minimum passing grade achievement ank and 19 students still needed improving. The highest score was 95 and the lowest one was 26. The medium was 78 and the mode was 53. After measuring the reliability level, the standard deviation ranged 0.50 – 1.00. meaning that the test was appropriate to be applied as measuring device.The valid test was then reconstructed to be raw material of software module.    Kata Kunci ; test, module, Software, validity, reliability

Abstract

This present study investigated any pattern of phonological form and supra segmental distribution on English utterance of cross marriage couples . The research applied qualitative-descriptive design because the data had a deep phenomenological common ground. Language represents a giving meaning and interpretation towards whatever experienced by speakers and explores the opponents’ intentions in natural way. Subject of the study were the cross-marriage couples taken through snowball technique. The focus of the study was the segmental utterances on discourse context which could show any intention interpreted opponents. The data were in the form of utterances of the couples in any kinds of topics collected by recording them. The data was classified into sound elements analyzed by structural phonology and intention delivery analyzed by speech act theory. From the data, it was found that there was some different phonemic transcription, stress contour, pitch, and range of intonation between the speaker from Bali and Speaker from Australia. This was caused by deeply imprinted Balinese sound concepts. The utterances showed the illocutionary force and perlocutionary force. From the stress pattern, it was found that there were some patterns of transition-relevance place and other-speaker turn repetition that indicated to mull over. The last finding was free variants in discourse. The forms of nasalized vowels in non- nasal context showed that the speaker was complaining.   Key words: supra segmental, utterance, pragmatics, intention

Abstract

  Abstract   Excellent English Speaking ability and assessment of oral production can be one of success indicators for students of English study program at Mahasaraswati Denpasar University to be qualified teachers. However, students of semester four G still found weaknesses to obtain. This present research was conducted to improve their learning achievement in speaking skill and assessment. It made use a classroom action research design through communicative approach type academic debate and oral production test. The initial condition of students speaking skill was categorized as poor level because the mean score of pretest was 50. The application of cyclic process, which consisted of two cycles, involved four steps: planning, action, observation and reflection. The increasing ability in each cycle could be seen from their scores either individual or team. The individual score of each session for three aspects of debate had gradually increased. The mean score of cycle I was 72 which can be categorized as sufficient level and cycle two was 83 which meant at very good level. The students’ responses were also positive after this learning model was applied. They also admitted that they had learned many things which were related to their skill in controlling emotion, practicing speaking ability, enriching vocabularies, and arguing in positive attitude. Based on the finding and discussion, the communicative approach type academic debate and oral production assessment can improve students’ ability in speaking English.   Key words: academic debate, communicative, assessment

Abstract

ABSTRAKSI   Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat pengaruh sistem pembelajaran berbasis konteks kehidupan sehari-hari melalui perekaman vidio terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan pra-eksperimen dengan model tes awal-tes akhir kelompok tunggal. Siswa SMPN 3 Kuta Selatan merupakan sumber data yang dikumpulkan melalui metode probality random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 36 peserta didik dari 6 kelas yang ada. Tes awal berupa unjuk kerja berbicara bahasa Inggris diberikan untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal mereka. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran yang inovatif melalui perekaman vidio yang mana materinya mengacu pada konteks kehidupan nyata. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan siswa, mereka diberikan tes akhir berupa unjuk kerja. Berdasarkan pengamatan hasil, penelitian ini menunjukan nilai rerata tes awal hanya 43.22 dan nilai rerata pos tes untuk mengukur  tingkat keefektifan tindakan adalah 51.11. Dengan menggunakan t-test dapat ditemukan bahwa t-observed dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.05, yaitu 4.63 lebih tinggi dari t-table yaitu 2.03, maka hipotesa penelitian ini diterima yaitu  sistem pembelajaran berbasis kehidupan sehari-hari melalui perekaman vidio memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa. Ini dapat diperkuat dari data tambahan hasil wawancara dan kuesioner yang mana mereka merasa proses pembelajaran lebih menarik dan menantang.   Kata Kunci: pembelajaran otentik, kontekstual, komunikatif

Abstract

The main issues of English and Japanese teachers who teach at SMK Tourism Mengwi Tani and SMK PGRI 3 Badung is the essence of mastery of foreign languages, the empowerment of learners and the carrying capacity of instructional media. The purpose of this program is to empower foreign language teachers in improving the quality of teaching. To achieve the target outcome, the method of science applied is transfer technology in the form of workshop, simulation, and, mentoring. Implementation of the program has been implemented in the form of three-day workshop on the application of bihavioristik theory, humanism, cognitive, CTL and multimedia-based foreign language teaching. This activity involves 15 foreign language teachers from two schools. Implementation of pre experimental methods to determine the effect of the action given by comparing the conditions and quantities before the action is given. The model used is a single subject pretest subject, without a control group. Based on the result of paired sample t test analysis using SPSS 17 for Windows software obtained p = 0.000 (t = -8.386, df = 14) <? = 0.05 indicates that Ho is rejected and H1 accepted. While data analysis of pretest and postes, t-observed for df 14 on t-table is 2.03 with a significant level of 0.05. This shows that t-observed 4.36 is bigger than t-table, ie: 2.03. It can be concluded that the workshop on communicative teaching approaches has a significant influence on the ability of foreign language teachers in both partner SMK Tourism schools. From this activity, efforts to strengthen, empower and improve the skills of these teachers can be an inspiration for improving the ability of learners in using foreign language.

Abstract

Penelitian yang mengamati kondisi ketrampilan berbahasa Inggris siswa dalam pendidikan formal telah banyak dilakukan, namun penelitian yang memfokuskan pada pelatihan komunikasi bahasa Inggris untuk pendidikan informal belum menjadi prioritas. Sehingga, fenomena sumber daya linguistik dan ketrampilan bahasa Inggris masyarakat luar sekolah seharusnya terangkat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi awal dan perubahan sikap dan ketrampilan bahasa Inggris karyawan restoran melalui metode pelatihan berbasis pelibatan terintegrasi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tindakan berbasis fenomenologi. Sumber data berupa hasil pelatihan dan pengamatan sikap bahasa 38 karyawan Motel Mexucola. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode pengamatan dengan teknik libat cakap dan catat.melalui tes, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Terdapat tiga tahapan analisis, yaitu kondisi awal, pengembangan, dan kemahiran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perubahan sikap belajar karyawan Mexicola selama pelatihan berbasis pelibatan terintegrasi, yaitu lebih aktif, kooperatif, dan bertanggungjawab dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Sikap belajar ini berbanding lurus dengan peningkatan kemampuan ketrampilan bahasa Inggris karyawan dengan tingkat ketuntasan 81%. Ini membuktikan pembelajaran dengan pelibatan terintergrasi antara sikap dan pengetahuan, dan antara hasil pelatihan dengan penerapan langsung dilingkungan kerja telah membentuk pembiasaan penggunaan bahasa fungsional. Hasil pelatihan ini telah membantu karyawan Mexicola dalam peningkatan kualitas komunikasi bahasa Inggris sehingga berdampak pada kuantitas kunjungan wisatawan ke restoran ini.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to investigate the sound simplification of speech output in Broca's aphasics and describe the effect of the alteration within phonological features from the perspective of Sonority Sequencing Principle (SSP). The speech output of two patients was exposed using phonological tasks and recorded with a Sonny voice recorder. The effect of features in substitution sonority was measured with the Wilcoxon's test and acoustic features were analyzed with Praat. The results of the study revealed that the consonant substitution and omission errors in Broca’s aphasia occur in the initial position due to the lesion in the anterior part of the left brain and that the less marked features that are statistically substituted by marked features are not significantly affected by marked features that are substituted by less marked features. The substitution was dominantly influenced by neighboring segments and the sonority violance occured againts the sonority scale

Abstract

Abstract— Broca’s aphasic patients display language problems in initiating utterances with groping movements, multiple false attempts and self-correction resulting from a lesion to the third frontal convolution of the left hemisphere of the brain. This study describes the forms of sound impairment, types of errors and phonetic processing by a Balinese patient who suffered from non-fluent speech disorder. The results showed that KW’s speech performance was categorized severe. There were 0.80% phonological errors in word naming, 0.92% in picture naming, 0.87% in answering questions and 0.89% in oral reading. Of the three other types of errors, sound substitution errors mostly appeared in every phonological task. He made 65% sound substitutions, 20% sound distortions, 10% sound insertions and 5% omissions. Different speech stimulation could trigger sound inconsistency. The phonological errors occurred because there was not any appropriate coordination between phonological representation and phonetic realization due to the loss of linguistic message in Broca’s area.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Monetary policy that arranged by The Central Bank of  Indonesia have been influences to private bank in Indonesia, including rural bank that wer located at regional  provinces. The main goals of this research is to analyse the impact of interest rate monetary instrument (SBI) as monetary policy of Bank Indonesia, non performing loans (NPL), and loans to deposit ratio (LDR) to Laba berbasis Aset (Laba/Aset) (ROA) of rural bank (BPR).  This research have been developed econometric simultaneous equation model (SEM) called TSLS (Gujarati, 2004),  Pyndick and Rubinfeld (1994). The research have been found that ROA function have significantly using F statistics tes based on 5% criteria. Meanhile, the partial statistical test indicates only non performing loans is significant using 5% level of significance. According to analysis result, its can be concludes that the rising of SBI rate would be impact positively to LDR, hence at the next steps the LDR variabel woild be impact the ROA performance of rural bank. However, the rising of SBI rate could be improve to people saving ad reducing financial linkage of commercial bank. This research have been recoomended, firstly, is that bank of Indonesia supporting for financial assisment for rural bank as replacement of  financial linkage of commercial bank based on 14% rate  a year.     Secondly, that OJK have been controlled more transparent to commercial bank as the nearly competitor  colud be potentially lost of rural bank opportunity to operate in the same market segmentations.
