Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan stres akademik dan kualitas tidur  mahasiswa Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. Pendekatan kuantitatif sebagai metode penelitian dengan desain korelasional. Partisipan terdiri dari 200 mahasiswa studi S1 di universitas tersebut, dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengukuran penelitian dengan menggunakan Skala Stres Akademik Mahasiswa (SASS) yang dikembangkan oleh Busari, dan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) oleh Contreras. Analisis data dengan korelasi product moment. Didapatkan hasil terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan pada stres akademik dan kualitas tidur, nilai uji korelasi kualitas tidur (p) 0,000 dan (r_xy) -0,387. Ini mengindikasikan penerimaan hipotesis penelitian dimana semakin tinggi tingkat stres akademik, semakin buruk kualitas tidurnya, sementara semakin rendah stres akademiknya, semakin baik kualitas tidurnya. Temuan ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk mengembangkan strategi yang bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas tidur guna mengurangi dampak dari stres akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Tana Toraja is a unique area where its customs are very well known, one of which is the solo sign (traditional death ceremony), although the consequences are not good it can even cause psychological problems, such as stress, anxiety, depression and other effects, until now there are still many perpetrators tana' bulaan who are still trying to perform the traditional signs ceremony solo' in accordance with the tradition that applies to family members who die. This study aims to find out psychological problems and how coping strategies are used by the performers of the traditional signs ceremony in tana'bulaan impoverished. The research design uses a qualitative phenomenological method. Collecting data using observation and interview techniques. The sample in this study were 2 participants who were selected by snowball or chain sampling with the characteristics of the Toraja people who perform the traditional ceremonies for signs solo', tana'bulaan, poor in Pambalan Village. The results of the study show that there are several themes involved in psychological problems and coping strategies, including the view of the solo sign, that the solo sign is a custom that must be preserved and is the final tribute to family or relatives who have died. It was also found that there was a stress reaction because of the solo signs. Stress coping strategies, where there are several coping strategies for the two participants such as cognitive assessment, emotional focused coping, and problem focused coping. Protection factors against stress include social support, preparation and planning. As well as found risk factors for stress, such as lack of emotional expression and lack of self-acceptance.

Abstract

The use of video conferencing media for a long time brings challenges in the form of fatigue that need to be understood and mitigated to maximize the benefits and impacts obtained. The hypothesis of this study is, there is a negative relationship between selfregulation and Zoom fatigue. This research method uses quantitative methods with the number of research participants is 409 students. The scales used are the Short SelfRegulation Questionnaire (SSRQ) and the Zoom Exhaustion and Fatigue (ZEF) Scale. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between selfregulation and Zoom fatigue in students using video conference media with a Pearson correlation value of -0.423 with sig. = 0.000 (p<0.05). It is known that Zoom fatigue experienced by students can be overcome if students have good self-regulation. So that fatigue from using video conferencing can be overcome and students are able to manage themselves properly during online activities.

Abstract

In facing the developmental tasks of early adulthood, good emotional regulation is required in order to effectively manage emotions while dealing with various demands. Especially among young adult women, as young adult women tend to have more demands in early adulthood compared to young adult men. The demands of these developmental tasks are best faced by having good emotional regulation in order to avoid psychological issues while fulfilling developmental tasks. The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between father attachment and emotional regulation in young adult women The research method employed is quantitative with a correlational design. The research included 213 participants, specifically young adult women aged 18-25 years, who were unmarried and employed, selected through incidental sampling method. The scale used to measure father attachment is the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), and the scale used to measure emotional regulation is the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ). The data analysis method employed was Spearman's Rho. The research results indicate a significant positive relationship between father attachment and emotional regulation in young adult women (r= 0,285 and sig.=0,000). The more secure the attachment between fathers and young adult women, the higher the emotional regulation they possess. Thus, the hypothesis in this research is accepted. It is hoped that young adult women can continue to develop emotional regulation effectively to cope with the demands of early adulthood and prevent the emergence of issues during this developmental stage.

Abstract

Carrying out the roles of both a child and a parent at the same time is certainly not an easy thing to do. There are many responsibilities that must be carried out as individuals with the sandwich generation. The various problems faced certainly have an influence on the resilience of someone with the sandwich generation. To be a resilient individual certainly cannot be separated from the influence of a positive self-concept so that individuals in the sandwich generation are able to overcome every problem they experience. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and resilience in individuals classified as the sandwich generation. The method used is quantitative with a correlational design. Participants in this research were 149 individuals from the sandwich generation. Research measurements used the Structure of the Personal Self-Concept (α = 0.879) and the Adiult Resilience Scale (α = 0.921). The analysis method uses the Sperm Rho correlation test. The research results show that there is a significant positive relationship between self-concept and resilience in individuals classified as the sandwich generation (r = 0.477) and sig. = 0.001. In this way, it is hoped that individuals who are classified as the sandwich generation can maintain a positive self-concept so that they remain resilient individuals in carrying out their role as a sandwich generation.

Abstract

Mahasiswa profesi ners menghadapi berbagai tantangan akademik dan praktik profesi yang dapat menyebabkan stres akademik yang tinggi. Resiliensi berperan penting dalam proses adaptasi mereka terhadap tuntutan pembelajaran klinik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara resiliensi dengan stres akademik mahasiswa profesi ners dalam menjalani praktik profesi. Sebanyak 116 mahasiswa profesi ners yang sedang menjalani praktik profesi berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini melalui teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan  mengunakan skala Perceived Sources of Academic Stress (PASS) yang telah diadaptasi ke bahasa Indonesia oleh (Khoirunnisa, 2021) dan Adult Resilience Scale yang mengacu pada dimensi resiliensi dari Taormina (2015). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara resiliensi dengan stres akademik pada mahasiswa profesi ners dengan nilai r = 0,461 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0, 001   (p 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat stres akademik mahasiswa profesi ners maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat resiliensinya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses pengambilan keputusan pada individu dewasa awal yang melakukan self-diagnosis. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling dengan wawancara. Jumlah partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan individu yang secara aktif melakukan self-diagnosis terkait kesehatan mental, pada individu dewasa awal dengan rentang usia 18-30 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori dari Janis dan Mann (1987) yang membahas tentang tahapan pengambilan keputusan. Proses pengambilan keputusan oleh dewasa awal yang dinilai dapat berpikir kritis dengan mempertimbangkan berbagai macam faktor sebagai bagian dari self-diagnosis, seringkali mencocokan gejala dengan informasi kesehatan dan menghubungkan dengan masalah psikologis. Kedua partisipan dapat dikatakan mampu melewati tahapan dalam pengambilan keputusan pada proses self-diagnosis yaitu bagaimana individu mampu menilai informasi baru, melihat alternatif-alternatif yang ada, mempertimbangkan alternatif, membuat komitmen, dan bertahan meskipun ada feedback negatif. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa pengambilan keputusan memiliki peranan penting bagi individu dewasa awal dalam proses self-diagnosis.

Abstract

The transition period from school to the world of work is a critical time that affects determining one's career. This study aims to examine the role of grit and parent-child communication in students’ career adaptability. Using a purposive sampling technique, the study involved 218 High School (SMA) students and 124 Vocational High School (SMK) students in Salatiga, Indonesia. The measurement instruments used in the research were the career adaptability scale, grit scale, and parent-child communication scale. The results show that the R-value was .595 and the adjusted R squared (R2) value was .354. The significance value generated from the regression test was .000 (p<.01). Based on the calculation results, it can be concluded that grit and communication between parents and children together play a significant role in career adaptability. The research implication is that students’ grit and effective parent-child communication should be developed to improve career adaptability.

Abstract

Police are one of the professions that are at risk of experiencing high stress while carrying out their work. Stress can have a negative impact on a person so it is important to understand things that can affect stress, including cognitive flexibility and social support obtained from family and friends. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of cognitive flexibility and social support on police stress in Central Java Regional Police. The research subjects were 3292 police officers in the Central Java Regional Police. This research was conducted using a correlational quantitative approach. The research subjects were obtained through accidental sampling technique and 3292 research subjects were obtained. The research data collection instruments were the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) to measure stress levels, the adapted Social Support Scale (SSS) to measure perceptions of social support and the Cognitive Flexibility Inventory to measure the level of cognitive flexibility. Regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses in this study. The results showed that flexibility of thinking, social support (family and friends) simultaneously had a very significant effect on police stress within the Central Java Police. It can be concluded that flexible thinking and perceptions of social support from family and friends play a role in police stress levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan problem-focused coping untuk mengurangi stres pada WBP kasus narkoba. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah adalah ada perbedaan tingkat stres pada WBP kasus narkoba sebelum dan setelah pemberian pelatihan problem-focused coping. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui hasil perhitungan (z=-1,062b; p=0,288), yang berarti bahwa tidak ada perbedaan tingkat stres antara hasil pre test dengan post test. Dengan demikian H0 diterima dan H1 ditolak. Pelatihan problem-focused coping yang diberikan tidak mengurangi stres yang dialami oleh WBP kasus narkoba di Rutan Salatiga. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa problem-focused coping tidak cukup untuk mengurangi stres sehingga kemungkinan diperlukan kombinasi antara problem-focused coping dengan emotion-focused coping. Program pelatihan yang dibuat perlu lebih holistik dan komprehensif sehingga akan lebih efektif dalam mengurangi stres. Selain itu, diperlukan juga sistem evaluasi dan pemantauan untuk mengukur efektivitas pelatihan mengenai coping terhadap stres. Tidak adanya pengaruh pelatihan problem-focused coping terhadap stres pada hasil penelitian ini mendorong dilakukannya penelitian lebih lanjut dengan sampel yang lebih memadai dan pelatihan strategi coping yang lebih komprehensif.
