Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Teacher Training Program at Training Center for Education and Religious Technical Personnell. The basic problem is that there is no post-training evaluation as an integral part of the evaluation of training implementation. The evaluation model used in this study is the Kirkpatrick evaluation model which is reaction level, learning level, behavior level and result level to get a more comprehensive picture of the Teacher Training Program. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data was conduct using questionnaire, interview, and document studies. The results of this study indicate that on reaction level, based on the results of the achievement analysis are in the high category, learning level of the program which are also in the high category, behavior level are in the high category, however result level of the program are in the moderate category. The findings of the evaluation of this result prove the importance of the training center conducting post-training evaluations to determine the impact of the training on the performance of participants and educational institutions. This research can be used as input for the Training Center to be consistent in evaluating both during training and after training as stated in Kirkpatrick's theory.

Abstract

AbstractOne of the problems is the low quality of education due to the lack of maximum education institutions in managing the risks that occur in the process of implementing education. The purpose of this study is to find out and obtain data on risk management analysis and what risks faced by Development Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Elementary School) Pembangunan (MIP) in the implementation of the 2011-2012 Renstra. Through interviews and observations that are known the main subject is a person or group of people who can provide information, they consist of management managers, management leaders to the strategic management staff. This study uses Descriptive Qualitative Analysis Method, to collect data, direct observation at the relevant institution (UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta). The results of this study explain that Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pembangunan (MIP) belongs to the risk averter, term namely the people who are reluctant to risk. The risk management stages carried out are risk identification (internal analysis, external and SWOT analysis), risk measurement (cross-linking SWOT, ST, WT, SO, and WO analysis), risk control (risk mitigation, risk retention, risk advoidance and risk risk transfer) and risk evaluation (consortium meetings, education unit meetings, leadership meetings and management review meetings).AbstrakSalah satu masalah rendahnya kualitas pendidikan karena kurangnya lembaga pendidikan yang maksimal dalam mengelola risiko yang terjadi dalam proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan memperoleh data tentang analisis manajemen risiko dan risiko apa yang dihadapi oleh Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pembangunan (MIP) dalam pelaksanaan Renstra 2011-2012. Melalui wawancara dan observasi yang diketahui subjek utama adalah orang atau sekelompok orang yang dapat memberikan informasi, mereka terdiri dari manajer manajemen, pimpinan manajemen hingga staf manajemen strategis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Analisis Kualitatif Deskriptif, untuk mengumpulkan data, observasi langsung di instansi terkait (Madrasah Pembangunan UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta). Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa MIP memiliki risk averter, yaitu istilah orang yang enggan mengambil risiko. Tahapan manajemen risiko yang dilakukan adalah identifikasi risiko (analisis internal, analisis eksternal dan SWOT), pengukuran risiko (analisis SWOT, ST, WT, SO, dan WO), pengendalian risiko (risk mitigation, risk retention, risk advoidance and risk risk transfer) dan evaluasi risiko (pertemuan konsorsium, pertemuan unit pendidikan, rapat pimpinan dan rapat tinjauan manajemen).How to Cite : Asy'ari, H., Munawwaroh, Z., Salwa. Abstract

Abstract : This study aims at formulating a model of the profile of teachers professionalism of excellent Islamic Primary School (IPS). The source of data of this research is obtained from six excelence IPS in South Jakarta that achieve score of accreditation A.This research is a non experimental research that uses survey method. The population of this research is all teachers in 15 Excelence IPS with the sample as much as 40% of the teachers. as many as 100 teachers. As for the sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling with descriptive statistics. The result of this research shows that firstly the profile of professionalism of the teachers of excellent IPS in South Jakarta is indicated by adequate teachers competency in personality, pedagogy, professionalism, and social aspect. Secondly, at the dimension of learning community teachers have not fully showed self development as a part of learning community. Thirdly, at the financial dimension it is know that the teachers of especially State Islamic Primary Schools are willing to accept all the policy of reward system set by the goverment and their schools headmasters. Fourtly, the linearity of educational background with the teaching profession. Fifthly, there is no difference in average scores the characteristics of profile of teachers professionalism between Private Islamic Primary Schools and the State ones. DOI: 10.15408/tjems.v1i1.1110

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peranan manajemen pengawasan sekolah dalam mengatasi masalah school bullying di SMP Al Fajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Responden penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, waka bidang kesiswaan, dan siswa/siswi Kelas IX. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai pelanggaran, sikap tidak disiplin, dan kasus kekerasan yang terjadi pada siswa sebenarnya bukan sepenuhnya menjadi kesalahan pribadi siswa, tetapi juga bisa disebabkan oleh faktor guru. Dari hasil observasi memang terlihat pengawasan dari kepala sekolah belum optimal, karena jarang melakukan supervisi kelas atau mengawasi ketika guru sedang melaksanakan proses pembelajaran. Untuk mencegah terjadinya tindakan bullying pihak sekolah perlu menjalin komunikasi yang baik dan efektif dengan orang tua siswa; kepala sekolah bersama dengan guru harus bekerjasama dan berkoordinasi untuk meningkatkan dan mengoptimalakan kembali fungsi manajemen pengawasan sekolah agar tercipta masyarakat belajar yang taat pada aturan dan tata tertib sekolah. Pihak sekolah perlu menjalin kerjasama dengan masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitar sebagai upaya untuk mencegah terjadinya perilaku bullying yang terjadi di luar lingkungan sekolah.Abstract: This study aims to describe the role of management oversight in addressing the problem of school (school bullying) in SMP Al Fajar. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Respondents are principals, deputy head of the student, and the student male / female students of class IX. The results showed that a variety of violations, undisciplined attitude and violence that occurs in the student actually not entirely the student's personal fault, but can also be caused by factors teachers. From the observation was seen supervision of the school principal is not optimal, because rarely supervise or oversee class when the teacher is implementing the learning process. To prevent bullying, the school needs to establish a good and effective communication with parents. The school principal together with teachers also have to cooperate and coordinate to improve and optimize the management functions of school supervision in order to create learning communities that adhere to the rules and regulations of the school. The school needs to cooperate with the community and the environment in an effort to prevent bullying behavior that happens outside the school environment. Keywords: school, bullying, management oversight.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan strategi dalam meningkatkan kualitas santri di Pondok Pesantren Sunanul Huda di Sukabumi, Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Prosedur pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Para pemimpin Pondok Pesantren Sunanul Huda telah dengan baik menerapkan strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas santri berdasarkan pada prinsip mempertahankan hal-hal lama yang baik dan mengambil hal-hal baru yang lebih baik (al-muhafadhah 'ala al-qodim al-qihim al-sihih wa al-ahdz bi al-jadidi al-ashlah) dengan mengintegrasikan sistem pendidikan umum dan pendidikan klasik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the principles of quality management system (SMM) ISO 9001:2008 in VOCATIONAL SCHOOL of economics. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected using the documentation, interviews with principals, quality management representative (WMM), 2 teachers, and 3 students, and observation. The results show that the application of the principles of the ISO 9001:2008 at SMM SMK Economics Depok went well. This is evidenced by the existence of the school’s business that always maintains customers’ trust, a curriculum which is in accordance with the educational enhancement principles, the implementation of the planned program and goals, the involvement of the entire school’s members, continuous evaluation, problems resolution based on existing data and facts, and the mutual cooperation between the school and other parties. The results of this research is expected to be able to provide insight to the school’s principal to always foster a shared commitment to the various parties in the schools in regard to the implementation of the principles of the ISO SMM 9001:2008. Abstract

Research on intellectual figures in the archipelago has not been recorded properly. One of them is the study of Sultan Muhammad ‘Aydrus, a reformer in Buton, the author of Hadiyat al-Baṣīr fī Ma‘rifat al-Qadīr. This article describes the roles of the theological works of Muhammad ‘Aydrus within Islamic tradition in Buton. The primary source of this article is the manuscript of Hadiyat al-Baṣīr fī Ma‘rifat al-Qadīr. The article concludes that the text Hadiyat al-Baṣīr has a role in the purification of Islamic theology in the Sultanate of Buton, especially trust ‘legacy’ of the reincarnated spirits of the dead. However, the concept of the purification is very different when compared with the puritanical Padri movement in Minangkabau. Muhammad ‘Aydrus’ purification concepts is more polite because he makes the educational process as a method. This text is one of the text used as teaching material in the educational process. --- Penelitian terhadap sosok tokoh-tokoh intelektual di Nusantara belum direkam secara baik. Salah satu diantara adalah penelitian tentang Sultan Muhammad ‘Aydrus, seorang pembaharu di Buton, penulis kitab Hadiyat al-Baṣīr fī Ma‘rifat al-Qadīr. Artikel ini menjelaskan peran-peran dari karya-karya teologis Muhammad ‘Aydrus dalam tradisi keislaman di Buton. Sumber primer artikel ini adalah naskah Hadiyat al-Baṣīr fī Ma‘rifat al-Qadīr. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa teks Hadiyat al-Baṣīr ini berperan mempurifikasi teologi Islam di Kesultanan Buton, terutama kepercayaan ‘warisan’ mengenai reinkarnasi roh orang mati. Namun, purifikasi yang dilakukan sangat berbeda dengan gerakan Paderi di Minangkabau yang terkesan puritan. Purifikasi yang ditempuh Muhammad ‘Aydrus lebih bersifat santun karena ia menjadikan proses edukasi yang terbilang elegan sebagai sarana. Teks ini merupakan salah satu teks yang digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam proses edukasi tersebut.

Abstract

Pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan tertua di Indonesia, dan bahkan pesantren juga memiliki andil yang cukup signifikan dalam perjuangan kemerdekaan Indonesia. Akan tetapi, pesantren tetap harus mengikuti perubahan-perubahan di era ini. Pesantren dituntut untuk tampil dalam persaingan dunia pasar bebas (free market), belum lagi sejumlah perkembangan lain yang terbungkus dalam dinamika masyarakat yang juga berujung pada pertanyaan tentang resistensi (ketahanan), responsibilitas (tanggung jawab), kapabilitas (kemampuan), dan kecanggihan pondok pesantren dalam tuntutan perubahan besar. Oleh karena itu, Pesantren tidak lepas dengan pengelolaan (manajemen) pondok pesantren. Pondok pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan swasta yang memiliki ciri khas yang mandiri, maka ia lebih leluasa untuk dapat mengadakan inovasi dalam rangka mewujudkan relevansi pendidikan dengan perkembangan Iptek, jika pesantren ini dikelola secara profesional dalam bidangnya masing-masing dan didukung oleh manajemen yang tangguh, maka kehadirannya di tengah-tengah masyarakat akan dapat dibanggakan. Sesuatu menarik untuk dikaji dan diteliti secara mendalam kaitannya dengan tipologi dan perkembangan pesantren seperti diuraikan di atas yakni Pesantren Nurul Iman Parung Bogor memiliki perkembangan baru dalam dunia pesantren. Pesantren ini mempunyai keunikan dan karakteristik tersendiri dibandingkan dengan pesantren lainnya yaitu dengan memiliki 3 fokus di dalam pengelolaannya yakni kepependidikan, kepesantrenan, dan wirausaha.Kata Kunci: Manajemen, Pengelolaan, Pesantren

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendidikan dalam pandangan masyarakat Baduy Dalam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dan dianalisa dengan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan beberapa hal penting: pertama, masyarakat Baduy Dalam berpandangan bahwa pendidikan dasar mereka terbatas pada pengetahuan adat yang meliputi materi pembelajaran bidang pertanian, nilai-nilai kebudayaan, aturan tatanan hukum adat, dan keterampilan. Kedua, model atau bentuk pendidikannya dilakukan dengan cara lisan dan praktik langsung, yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun melalui keluarga, lembaga adat, maupun teman sebaya. Ketiga, masyarakat Baduy Dalam sampai saat ini tetap menolak segala macam bentuk pendidikan yang tidak sesuai dengan tataran hukum adat. Keempat, terdapat perubahan kehidupan sosial masyarakat Baduy Dalam yang disebabkan semakin banyaknya kontak langsung dengan pengunjung meskipun tidak bersifat masif. The method used in this research is qualitative research, and analyzed with ethnography approach. The results of this study reveal several important points: first, the Baduy Dalam community holds that their basic education that limited to indigenous knowledge, learning materials implementation of education that of agriculture, cultural values, rules of customary law, and skills. Second, the model or form education by way of verbal communication and direct practice, who passed down through generations through family, traditional institutions, and peers. Third, the Baduy Dalam community still rejects all forms of education that are not in accordance with the level of customary law. Abstract

SCHOOL ACCREDITATION FUNCTIONS IN INCREASING SCHOOL PRODUCTIVITY. This study aims to determine and analyze the function of school accreditation in increasing school productivity. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive method. This research was conducted at AQL Islamic School. The subject of this research is the Principal/Vice Principal,. The data collection technique of this research is observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that school/madrasah test scores in the last 3 (three) years can be extracted from the average test scores, the AQL Islamic School has increased in the last three years as seen from the average test scores. This is due to the existence of tutoring apart from school, the school affiliates with several well-known tutors. Coupled with the free online tutoring. This is also supported by facilities and infrastructure, one of which is the school facilitating students with a kind of tablet to be able to access or look for things about lessons that have not been completed when studying in class. In addition, extracurricular activities at school also support students for their academic achievements. The existence of clubs such as science club, English club and many more. Then, judging from the public perception of the AQL Islamic School, this school is very good, because this AQL school has a fairly good Islamic base because of the holding of youth mosques. The academic achievements of the AQL Ialamic School itself have had many championships. One of them is in the National Science Competition championship.
