Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the principles of quality management system (SMM) ISO 9001:2008 in VOCATIONAL SCHOOL of economics. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected using the documentation, interviews with principals, quality management representative (WMM), 2 teachers, and 3 students, and observation. The results show that the application of the principles of the ISO 9001:2008 at SMM SMK Economics Depok went well. This is evidenced by the existence of the school’s business that always maintains customers’ trust, a curriculum which is in accordance with the educational enhancement principles, the implementation of the planned program and goals, the involvement of the entire school’s members, continuous evaluation, problems resolution based on existing data and facts, and the mutual cooperation between the school and other parties. The results of this research is expected to be able to provide insight to the school’s principal to always foster a shared commitment to the various parties in the schools in regard to the implementation of the principles of the ISO SMM 9001:2008.   Keywords: The quality of education, the principles of SMM 9001:2008, ISO quality management system (SMM)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of distance learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Miftahul Ulum which has been implemented since government policies were issued during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is from March 2020 – December 2020. The method used uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique uses direct observation where the author is a teacher at the madrasa, interviews through the google page form given to teachers and students' guardians, and study of document completeness of the file. The results show that the distance learning system in this madrasa has low effectiveness because there are still several obstacles in carrying out activities such as the unavailability of gadget facilities and quotas, minimal initial abilities of students such as not being fluent in reading and writing, the time that parents have in accompanying them. children learn. In addition, in terms of the evaluation results, there are still many participants who take remedial, this shows that students have not succeeded in achieving the expected competencies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan strategi dalam meningkatkan kualitas santri di Pondok Pesantren Sunanul Huda di Sukabumi, Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Prosedur pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Para pemimpin Pondok Pesantren Sunanul Huda telah dengan baik menerapkan strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas santri berdasarkan pada prinsip mempertahankan hal-hal lama yang baik dan mengambil hal-hal baru yang lebih baik (al-muhafadhah 'ala al-qodim al-qihim al-sihih wa al-ahdz bi al-jadidi al-ashlah) dengan mengintegrasikan sistem pendidikan umum dan pendidikan klasik.

Abstract

In general, the quality of Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia can be said to lag behind non-Islamic educational institutions. The quality of education is influenced by the quality of the education management it carries out. The better the quality of management of an educational institution, the quality of education produced will certainly be directly proportional. Changing times continue to occur and competition between educational institutions is also getting tougher. If you are not able to manage an educational institution properly, you will be left behind and it is possible to go bankrupt. One of these self-improvement efforts is the need to reformulate strategic management by considering the concept of a strategic management model. The purpose of this study is to explore a strategic management model for improving the quality of Islamic education. The research was carried out through an approach to library research methods. The results of this study have shown that in fact management strategy has a concept in Islam, so there are already Islamic educational institutions to run it according to Islamic guidelines in order to improve the quality of Islamic education.

Abstract

Pengembangan kurikulum menjadi kebutuhan pokok dalam pengelolaan sekolah. Seiring dengan perkembangan sekolah yang beradaptasi terhadap kebutuhan eksternal dan internal, diperlukan upaya pengembangan kurikulum yang selaras dengan tujuan lembaga. Artikel penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor pengembangan kurikulum di SMP Yamis Jakarta menggunakan analisis manajemen strategi untuk menghasilkan strategi yang tepat dan sesuai standar pendidikan yang berlaku. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan SMP Yamis mengembangkan kurikulum dengan memanfaatkan analisis kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman sebagai bagian dari upaya dalam manajemen strategis. Pengembangan kurikulum dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan analisis internal dan analisis eksternal. Analisis tersebut kemudian dipadukan dengan konsep pengembangan kurikulum yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kurikulum SMP Yamis Jakarta mengambangkan kurikulum dengan manajemen strategis untuk dapat mewujudkan visi, misi, dan tujuan sekolah.

Abstract

Strategic management is one of the right choices in dealing with problems, because strategic management is management that is oriented towards the future and is based on the analysis of the internal and external environment. By following the process of strategic management stages, schools can consider decisions, follow-ups and the right choice of strategies in the face of the development and changes in the educational situation. This study aims to analyze the factors of curriculum development at SMP Yamis Jakarta using SWOT analysis to produce appropriate strategies and in accordance with applicable educational standards. Descriptive-qualitative research methods were used in this study. From this research, several factors were found that must be addressed in curriculum development, including the unclear focus of human resources and the lack of socialization in certain fields in curriculum development at the school and infrastructure that has not been maximized. Competition in the area of ​​intense education because it is surrounded by quality schools is a joint task in improving the quality of schools.

Abstract

This current study aimed to analyze and comprehend the management of the madrasa's facilities and infrastructure to hold face-to-face learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was conducted at MI Soebono Mantofani, which is located in Ciputat, South Tangerang. The study employed a descriptive approach with qualitative methods. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study followed the procedures: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The study results highlighted the importance of needs analysis before preparing facilities and infrastructure planning policy to procure facilities and infrastructure by available safety procedures. Besides, the school management system also endorsed the principal's critical role in preparing the recipes, organizing the facilities during face-to-face learning, and holding the maintenance process accountable. This study also provided implications for managing the facilities and infrastructure amidst pandemics and hopefully shed some light on other relevant stakeholders in facing the upcoming face-to-face learning in the middle of the pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal managerial competence on teacher performance at senior high school Nusantara Plus. The method used in this study is quantitative. The samples in this study were all senior high school Nusantara Plus, totaling 35 people/respondents. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. Based on the research results on the determination test, the coefficient of determination (R square) was 0.172. The R square value of 0.172 comes from the square of the correlation coefficient or "R", which is = 0.172 or equal to 17.2%. This figure shows that the managerial competence variable (X) affects the teacher performance variable (Y) by 17.2%, and 82.8% is influenced by other variables not examined.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the application and benefit of curriculum management in TK 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 42 Ciputat. The method used is descriptive qualitative research; primary and secondary data sources are used; Data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the curriculum at TK 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 42 Ciputat uses the 2013 curriculum specifically for TK 'Aisyiyah, which is integrated between Islamic education, Muhammadiyah, and Aisyiyahan education. There are four steps in implementing curriculum management in this school: 1) Planning, 2) Organizing and Coordinating, 3) Implementation and 4) Control/Evaluation. The benefits of implementing curriculum management in this school include: 1) with curriculum management, the use of existing resources in schools can be utilized to the fullest; 2) with planning for extracurricular and extracurricular activities programs that are adapted to the curriculum, kindergarten children get the opportunity to achieve maximum results in the learning process; 3 ) increase the level of effectiveness of teachers' teaching performance and kindergarten children's activities so that they are expected to be able to achieve the desired learning objectives; 4) increase efficiency and effectiveness in the teaching and learning process because it has been planned.
