Abstract

Reading comprehension is one of the important activities to gain knowledge, information, or to get entertainment. The research aims to produce teaching materials for reading comprehension skills that are valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is development research with the Plomp development model developed by Tjeerd Plomp, 2010. The research subjects were 48 fifth semester students. The results showed that reading comprehension teaching materials used the big question strategy for Indonesian language and literature education students with valid, practical, and effective categories with a percentage of 90%. It is concluded that the use of teaching materials for reading comprehension skills using the big question strategy is feasible to use.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the characters contained in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa by Sari Setyorini using Singmund Freud's theory. The form of this research is qualitative research. This research approach is a psychoanalytic approach. The data for this research are characters and characterizations related to id, ego and superego in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa by Sari Setyorini. This research data collection technique uses reading and writing techniques. The data analysis technique in this research uses content analysis techniques. The results of research in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa found 22 data consisting of 13 ids, 4 egos and 5 superegos, based on the results obtained in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa it can be concluded that the id, ego and superego are not balanced, in the data It was found that the ID in the drama script was more dominant than the ego and superego. Because the id element in the characters in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa by Sari Setyorini is more dominant, so they act distantly and come out of the id and kill.

Abstract

Hybrid learning integrates online technological advancements with traditional interactive learning methods, aiming to enhance educational outcomes. This study focuses on developing a hybrid learning model tailored for pragmatic education using the Borg Gall development model.The research employed the Borg Gall 10-step RD model involving 30 participants from an Indonesian language education program. Data collection methods included observations, questionnaires, and tests, analyzed using statistical tools. Key steps in the development process were: needs analysis, design, initial and subsequent field testing, iterative revisions, and final implementation.Field testing revealed marked improvements in learning outcomes. The initial test phase showed an increase in average scores from 5.50 (pre-test) to 6.71 (post-test). Subsequent testing showed scores improving from 6.15 (pre-test) to 7.41 (post-test). Statistical analyses confirmed significant enhancements in learning motivation (t = 9.554), creativity (t = 9.897), and learning outcomes (t = 9.996), with t-count values surpassing the critical t-table value of 2.136.The findings highlight the efficacy of the hybrid learning model in improving pragmatic education outcomes. Significant gains in motivation and creativity suggest that the model effectively integrates online and traditional teaching methodologies to address diverse educational needs.This study underscores the potential of hybrid learning models, developed using a systematic approach, in fostering improved learning outcomes for pragmatic education. The significant pre- and post-test differences validate its application and effectiveness.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of more innovative learning media in Indonesian language learning at the Junior High School (SMP) level, especially in learning folklore that requires an understanding of the storyline, characters, and cultural values. This study aims to compare student learning outcomes between the use of E-Book media and digital Pop-Up Book media in learning the folklore "Legend of Lake Kerinci: Calungga and Calupat". This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative study design. The subjects of the study were 28 students of class VII C of SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The same students participated in two learning sessions with different treatments, namely learning using E-Book media and learning using digital Pop-Up Book media. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests (posttests) given after each treatment, then analyzed using descriptive and comparative statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between the two media, where the posttest results of students after using digital Pop-Up Book media were higher than those using E-Book media. This indicates that digital Pop-Up Book media is more effective in increasing students' attention, engagement, and understanding of the content of folktales and their cultural values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan film pendek dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek di kelas XI SMKN 2 Kota Jambi. Terdapat permasalahan yang dialami oleh peserta didik yaiu sulit dalam menentukan tema, sulit menggunakan penulisan yang baik dan benar, kurangnya motivasi dalam belajar, khususnya dalam hal menulis, serta kurang pemahaman tentang struktur dan unsur cerita pendek. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMKN 2 Kota Jambi, subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru Bahasa Indonesia dan peserta didik yang berada di kelas XI Animasi 1. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi lembar observasi pengamatan guru menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL), hasil tugas peserta didik, wawancara bersama peserta didik, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) secara efektif dan sesuai dengan modul ajar yang dikembangkan oleh guru, dan nilai rata-rata peserta didik adalah 82.11. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) sangat efektif karena membantu peserta didik lebih memahami materi pembelajaran, mengembangkan kemampuan menulis, meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir, dan meningkatkan semangat belajar.

Abstract

Abstract Deixis utilization uniqueness in 10-17 aged children’ utterances of Minangkabau language resulted in the conduction of this research. Unique thing of Minangkabau language phenomenon was, in addition, the orientation for the formulation of the research problems. There were two kinds of research questions, namely: 1) What are first personal deixis forms realized in 10-17 aged children of Minangkabau language in Sariak village, Banuhampu Sungaipuar sudistrict, West Sumatera?; and 2) How is first personal deixis utterances used? The objective of this study is to describe the forms and the use of first personal deixis utterances. The research was designed by using qualitative descriptive research approach. The data was verified by illustrating evidences according to Metode Simak ‘refer to method’ and Metode Cakap ‘Advanced Method’ which are divided into some techniques. Metode Simak consists of basic technique and advanced technique. Advanced involving free referred to technique, recording technique, and note-taking technique. Meanwhile, advanced method is divided into basic technique including note-taking technique and eliciting technique. The data of the research were words and phrases in utterance form.the data was obtained from Minangkabau language used by 10-17 aged children in Sariak villaged, Banuhampu Sungaipuar subdistrict, West Sumatera. Trustworthiness of data was examined by data triangulation technique. The finding shows that there six types of first personal deixis realized in 10-17 aged children’ utterances of Minangkabau. The forms of 10-17 aged children’ utterances of Minangkabau language are sayo, ambo, aden, nama diri, aku, kami, awak, denai, kito ‘I’. Utilization of first personal deixis in the utterances of 10-17 aged children is adapted to when, where and who the utterances take place. Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of students' ability to design creative words with cultural wisdom. The source of research data is the ability to string creative words together and design a setting for words with Jambi cultural wisdom. Data analysis techniques were collected with creative, unique, interesting, and valuable words. The analysis of ability data was carried out individually and then analyzed based on the average percentage value of making a series of creative words and designing a word background of Jambi cultural wisdom. The results of the study can be stated as follows: the ability of each student and group to assemble words and design the background of Jambi cultural wisdom is at the level of 'good' ability, and the ability of sales strategies and sales targets is generally 'very good'. Thus, it is suggested, this learning can be a reference for students interested in language-based creative industries.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a prototype of poetry teaching materials based on 3D Flipbook multimedia. Through this research, it is hoped that there will be more varied teaching materials as well as learning media than the previous ones. The research design is a procedural descriptive research model, which is guided by the ADDIE model development research procedure initiated by Lee & Owens. Broadly speaking, this development model consists of 4 stages, namely: 1) analysis, 2) design, 3) development and implementation, and 4) evaluation. Thus, this research is a category of development research. The result of this research is poetry teaching materials in the form of 3D Flipbook multimedia. The results showed that according to 30 respondents, the 3D Flipbook multimedia display aspect was very feasible, the 3D Flipbook multimedia material aspect was feasible, and the 3D Flipbook multimedia learning aspect was very feasible. In conclusion, according to respondents, 3D multimedia flipbooks can be used as a very feasible alternative for learning poetry.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan prototipe bahan ajar Puisi berbasis multimedia 3D Flipbook. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan tersedia bahan ajar sekaligus media pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dari yang sebelumnya. Penelitian pengembangan ini berpedoman pada model ADDIE yang terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu: 1) analisis, 2) desain, 3) pengembangan dan implementasi, dan 4) evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar puisi berupa multimedia 3D Flipbook.  Berdasarkan respons dari informan dapat diketahui bahwa aspek tampilan dan pembelajaran multimedia 3D Flipbook sangat layak, serta aspek materi multimedia 3D Flipbook layak. Multimedia 3D Flipbook bisa dijadikan alternatif dalam pembelajaran puisi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan mekanisme pertahanan diri berupa rasionalisasi yang dilakukan tokoh utama dalam film Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 menggunakan pendekatan psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Sumber data penelitian berupa film Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 karya Benni Setiawan yang diadaptasi dari novel Pidi Baiq. Data penelitian berupa fragmen dialog, monolog, dan indikator visual yang merepresentasikan interaksi antara struktur kepribadian id, ego, dan superego. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode simak, catat, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi secara interpretatif. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan keunikan spesifik pada karakter Ancika sebagai representasi perempuan muda yang mandiri; berbeda dengan tokoh perempuan dalam penelitian sejenis yang umumnya menggunakan rasionalisasi sebagai pelarian pasif akibat subordinasi, Ancika justru menggunakan rasionalisasi secara aktif sebagai instrumen untuk menegakkan otonomi personal dan batasan diri (boundaries) di tengah desakan realitas sosial. Struktur kepribadian yang paling dominan memicu mekanisme ini adalah ego yang beroperasi di bawah prinsip realitas. Rasionalisasi bermanifestasi secara khas melalui pola penutupan emosi (emotional masking) dan pemberian alasan logis-intelektual untuk menolak stereotip romantisasi remaja pada masanya. Dengan demikian, film ini tidak sekadar memperlihatkan dinamika pertahanan diri biasa, melainkan sebuah bentuk negosiasi psikologis yang kuat dalam mempertahankan citra diri dan kedaulatan emosional seorang perempuan.
