Abstract

Optimization design of multifunctional machines for making of animal feed is one of the development efforts of conventional machinery to be a multifunctional machine with electric motor drive which is to help small MSME industries so that their results and capacity are faster and more effective during the process of milling and grinding. This is a new concept designed to increase the time effectiveness of its use. This tool is specifically designed to chop odot grass and grind corn kernels, where the tool works using resources from an electric motor that moves a U-type blade or type I blade for knitting or grinding. The method used to make multifunction machines includes the development of existing models, seeking research on previous tools, refining the design model concept, making 3D models using the Solidworks Computer Aided Design (CAD) with a cycle time of 50 seconds on different test pieces and mills where assembly time is needed to complete the multifunction machine for ± 20 days or 28800 minutes.

Abstract

The initial activity in this study was carried out by examining the results of testing of reinforcing steel through tensile testing and bending testing. The study focused on the stress analysis of the test material to determine and classify the test material with SNI reference which applies as a condition for the application of test material to a construction. The material tested was a type of Fin Reinforcing Steel (BjTS 40) with diameters of 10 mm, 13 mm, 16 mm, 19 mm and 22 mm respectively with each sample 2 specimens. In tensile and bending tests, the test results will be known the load of the test material when tested at the yield point and at the maximum point, according to the strain stress graph illustrated. The results of the scale of the test machine are then recorded to perform stress analysis. The test results data are then used to calculate the amount of stress that occurs in the test material. Stess analysis is carried out on the swing hanger as well as construction steel samples. Stress analysis uses theoretical stress analysis methods and finite element simulation methods using computer work program simulation CAD / CAE technology solidworks. From the results of theoretical calculations, it is known that the amount of stress that occurs, the yield strength limit of the material and also the safety factor of the test material, both on the swing hanger test material and also the construction steel test sample. Furthermore, the initial data of the swing hanger test material as well as steel construction were carried out modeling by using a solidworks computer work program application. While the results of solidwork modeling are then analyzed by finite element simulation and known the magnitude of stress, strain, loading buckling that occurs and also the visualization of the material characteristics of the load treatment.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah perhitungan efektifitas pemanfaatan alat berat pemeliharaan jalan Kereta Api (KA) dalam rangka meningkatkan pemeliharaan jalan KA dengan identifikasi dari permasalahan yaitu seberapa efektif penggunaan alat berat yang sudah dimiliki?. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penyelesaian permasalah tersebut adalah metode kuantitatif menggunakan pendekatan OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) sedangkan metode kualitatifnya menggunakan pendekatan THIO (Technoware, Humanware, Infoware dan Orgaware) dan pendekatan sebab akibat. Hasil dari perhitungan OEE  dari alat berat pemeliharaan jalan rel PT. KAI yaitu 50,05% dengan  Availability rata-rata = 77 %, Performance rata-rata = 65% dan Quality rata-rata = 100% (karena dinyatakan tidak ada pengulangan, artinya hasil pekerjaan semuanya dianggap memenuhi syarat) dari hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peluang untuk perbaikan terutama pada performance, kemudian pada availability. Namun pada kenyataannya kedua hal ini sangat terkait dengan kemampuan pemeliharaan (maintenance) dari alat-alat berat yang ada. Usia alat yang sudah cukup tua (rata-rata 19 tahun) berpotensi menurunkan kinerja mesin bila pemeliharaan kurang memadai. Hal ini tampak sudah terlihat dari menurunnya availability dan performance.

Abstract

General Overhaul (GOH) is so much on the HD785-7 unit that it requires speed, accuracy, and discipline during the process so that the target can be met. Slow speed is influenced by several factors, one of which is the process of installing rear suspension. Now the rear suspension installation process is carried out by 6 manpower using belt-shaped tools that require installation time of ± 2 hours (1 piece) so that it is considered inefficient and unsafe for mechanics. The purpose of this research is to design special tools so that the process is faster, safer, and the number of mechanics decreases. The method used in this study is Seven-Ups ++ Innovation Method so that innovation activities can run in rules and produce optimal output. The results obtained from the design of this special tool is that the rear suspension install process is only carried out by 3 manpower, is safer, and the installation time is ± 30 minutes (1 piece).

Abstract

Perancangan mesin ini menggunakan sistem parutan guna untuk menghancurkan empulur batang sagu agar pati sagu dapat keluar dari batangnya, parutan dirancang berbentuk silinder dan diberikan susunan mata parut disekeliling silinder parutan tersebut. Batang sagu diparut pada silinder yang sedang berputar sehingga empulur batang sagu hancur dan masuk kedalam bak pencucian, Empulur batang sagu hasil parutan dicuci di dalam bak guna untuk memisahkan pati sagu dengan ampas dengan menggunakan saringan. Sistem pencucian dan pengendapan mengguanakan dua pompa Sanyo PWH 13, pompa pertama menarik air dari sumber mata air ke dalam bak pencucian dan pompa yang kedua memindahkan hasil pencucian ke dalam bak pengendapan. Hasil parutan empulur sagu yang didapatkan dari perancangan ini adalah 6,125 kg/menit (dibulatkan menjadi 350 kg/jam ) dan untuk lebar parutan 40 cm.

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze and identify failures for minimize the risk of product defects in the production process faucet part S11037S and detect the main facto of the cause of disability that occurred. The method used with Seven Plus One Type of Waste approach and the concept of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA). Results obtained from 28 types of disability on the faucet prakuk there are 5 types of frequencies that occur high frequency that is; Gomi, Hike, Kizu, Nami and Su. From the five types of defects can be identified several causes that often occur, among the causes that there are high RPN (Risk Priority Number) that is; 1. Gomi, the dominant cause is due to operator negligence at the time of production with the value of RPN = 60, 2. Hike, with the highest cause is the entry of dirt at the time of Plotting with RPN = 24, 3. Kizu, the main cause is also from operator negligence with RPN = 36 and Nami, the cause of the duplication is that the material used has a low quality. While Su factro cause has a low RPN that is 4 to 6.

Abstract

In the world of handling, the equipment industry is always required to carry out any work activities, one of the sheet material handling tools. With the material handling tools can ease the burden of people in the process of loading and unloading material. Tools There are many kinds of material handling among other cranes, gantry hoist, swing hoist or air hoist, and others. Thus, in this study, the designed begun handling tool that has a lower economic value. For the usage of this tool that works utilizing the principle of force that works on wire rope and bearing due to loading. So the selection of wire rope specifications and bearing very important. From the results of research and calculations of data that are accepted style of wire rope for T = 9894.23 N and styles are acceptable bearing = 490 N axial and radial force = 13905.41 N. Thus it can be concluded from these data that the tool handling swing designed air hoist can be used.

Abstract

PT United Tractors Tbk Jakarta workshop held a lot of Machine Inspection Programs for Komatsu units. During the implementation of the Machine Inspection Program (PPM) the machine inspection program is one part of the maintenance that is carried out periodically to obtain accurate data on the condition of the equipment at the time by carrying out checks and adjustments using measurement methods and diagnostic instruments The use of a pressure gauge is still using manual and has a measurement distance that is still limited, if workers or mechanics are not equipped with sufficient knowledge then the pressure gauge will have the potential for error in use and the selection of a pressure gauge is not appropriate to the pressure gauge directly connected to the hydraulic pressure through the hose then the work process ppm is not enough 1 manpower. Therefore it is necessary to modify a digital pressure gauge that has a wide range of scales, in addition a wireless connection is needed to enable the operation of the unit and measurements are made 1 manpower and Bluetooth is one of the right choices in addition to the reach can be met in an application not too difficult so that readings measurement results can be connected directly via mobile.

Abstract

In the operation of the unit whose successor does not use a hydraulic system, the role of the clutch is very important in transmitting power from the engine to the transmission. However, the clutch can only slip so that it can no longer function to forward power from the engine to the transmission. This can be caused by several things, including: wear on the clutch material, the presence of oil in the field of clutch surface, and spring damage to the clutch. On Scania P 124 CB 8x4 NZ 420 units this slip on clutch problem also occurs so research needs to be done to find the main cause. The method used in this study is to carry out checks and measurements and then the results are compared with the standard values that have been determined. The result shows that the cause of the slip on the clutch on the Scania P 124 CB 8x4 NZ 420 unit is 1) the presence of oil that wet the coupling surface is caused by a damaged seal shaft; 2) wear on clutch components namely clutch disc and pressure plate. To keep the seal shaft in good condition, regular and regular oil changes must be made and when the replacement of the seal shaft must be in accordance with the part number so that the possibility of the same problem can be reduced.

Abstract

Konsumsi kopi yang menjadi gaya hidup masyarakat sekarang menunjukan tren peningkatan. Biji kopi basah harus digiling sebelum proses pengeringan. Penulis melakukan penelitian berupa perancangan dan pembuatan pengupas kulit kopi basah dengan kapasitas 120 kg/jam menggunakan motor bensin 5,5 hp untuk UMKM. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitan ini dimulai dari studi literatur, perancangan dan perhitungan, proses pembuatan alat diakhiri dengan pengujian alat. Desain gambar teknik dilakukan dengan modeling pada software solidworks. Rancangan alat pengupas kulit kopi terdiri dari rangka bawah yang ditopang roda troli, motor bensin dengan daya 5,5 hp sebagai penggerak, transmisi daya dengan menggunakan pulley, belt, rantai dan sprocket, crusher sebagai penggilas biji kopi basah, dan yang terakhir adalah roller pemisah. Dari perhitungan didapatkan desain diameter poros pada crusher dan roller pemisah 31,08 mm sedangkan poros yang terbangun adalah 35 mm dengan menggunakan baja karbon S30C. Sedangkan perhitungan belt sebagai transmisi daya didapatkan jenis sabuk V belt Tipe A dengan ukuran W 12 mm dan K0 8 mm. Hasil pengujian alat menggunakan 0,25 kg biji kopi basah dibutuhkan waktu selama 3 detik, dengan demikian kapasitas sesuai dengan hasil pengujian adalah 300 kg/jam. Hasil tersebut menunjukan target terpenuhi, namun agar membatasi performance alat pengupas kopi pada kondisi optimalnya, maka peneliti menetapkan kapasitas alat pengupas kopi pada kinerja 120 kg/jam.Kata kunci : rancang bangun, mesin kopi, performance
