Abstract

Desain mesin sikat karpet mekanik ini merupakan salah satu upaya pengembangan pada alat konvensional. Hal ini untuk membantu industri kecil yang masih menggunakan alat konvensional untuk beralih ke mesin sikat karpet mekanik agar dapat menghasilkan produk yang lebih cepat dan efektif pada saat proses mencuci karpet. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk pengembangan desain model dan prototipe mesin sikat karpet mekanik dengan penggerak motor listrik, skala pencucian karpet rumah tangga. Tujuan pembuatan konsep ini meningkatkan efektivitas waktu untuk penggunanya. Alat ini di gunakan untuk mencuci dan menyikat pada karpet, dimana alat tersebut bekerja menggunakan sumber daya dari motor listrik yang menggerakkan poros dan sikat pembersih/polisher untuk mencuci dan menyikat karpet yang sudah di beri cairan deterjen sebelumnya. Konsep perancangan alat sikat karpet mekanik ini di buat dengan menggunakan Computer Aided Design (CAD) SOLIDWORKS. Metode yang di pakai untuk membuat mesin sikat karpet mekanik meliputi pengembangan model yang ada, mencari riset tentang alat sebelumnya, penyempurnaan konsep model desain, pembuatan model 3D dan pembuatan alat. Setelah alat selesai di rakit maka alat akan di tes dan di uji. pengujian prototipe mesin sikat karpet mekanik dengan menggunakan tiga jenis tipe karpet berdasarkan   ketebalan   bahan,    k a r a k t e r i s t i k    k a r p e t    a k a n    b e r p e n g a r u h t e r h a d a p k i n e r j a  d a r i  m e s i n  s e r t a  h a s i l  y a n  g  d i d a p a t k a n . Kata Kunci : Desain, Prototipe, Mesin sikat karpet mekanik

Abstract

The suspension system on the machine unit is very important to support the unit weight against the road surface and also protect the transmission from the vertical vibration of the wheels to the body of the unit. When the unit passes a damaged or bumpy road at high speed, shock loads from the road surface will be felt, so the role of the suspension is crucial in protecting components from damage, maintaining operator comfort and undamaged loads. HD 785-7 unit is one type of dump truck that uses cylindrical pneumatic hydro suspension that contains nitrogen and oil gases to absorb loads or vibrations from the road surface. In its operation which functions as a material carrier in the mine area, there are often problems with the suspension especially at the rear because it is holding a heavier load. Therefore, research needs to be carried out aimed at finding the main causes and solutions to these problems using data collection methods, namely: field surveys, interviews, and library research. The results show that damage to the valve core causes the valve to leak and cause the chamber at the top of the cylinder suspension to be occupied by nitrogen gas to be reduced so that the suspension suffers harsh strokes when operated especially on damaged roads. Damage to the valve core is caused by the use of non-standard and too tight tools in its installation. Keywords: hard suspension, valve core, feed valve, nitrogen gas, oil.

Abstract

In the calibration process of pressure gauge is very much needed accuracy, which can time consuming, especially in the inspection process and will affect the correction value of each inspection process. The work design application method is very useful for learning the principles and mechanisms for obtaining a better work system design or method. With using work design analysis then the work process is mapped into work maps. The aim of the research is to minimize working time by using work design application methods to determine the standard time and improvements that must be made by company.  The results showed that the standard time for the pressure gauge calibration process before improvement was 3248.44 seconds. By using work design analysis, the time of the pressure gauge calibration process becomes more efficient with a standard time of 2291.86 seconds with an efficiency value of 91.72%.Keywords: Design, pressure gauge calibration equipment, work design method.

Abstract

The The main objective of this study is to analyze the implementation of quality control in the process, types of defects, and factors that cause defects in the Trimming II process and improve product quality. The method used is the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method with control aids (cheeksheet, Pareto diagram, histogram, cause and effect diagram, and control chart, scatter. The results of the study using the seven tools method found 4 types of defects in the Trimming II process defects such as scratched rear panels, crooked cross shaft frame, blower unfunction, and loose horn bracket bolts. The results of histogram diagram analysis for the highest type of defect are bolt bracket horn types the horn bracket bolts) are loose by 548. The results of the analysis of the Pareto diagram for the type of defect of the horn bracket bolts are loose by 34.6%. meaning it is still not under control. Based on the cause effect diagram and the causative factors of the type ca loose horn bracket bolts analyzed using the 5W+1H method, namely fatigue and inaccuracy at work, employee experience and understanding, dirty smelly material, difference in bolt size, disturbing noise, dusty production line conditions, hot production line temperature conditions.

Abstract

The background of the palette bolster printer machine production is the availability of waste sawdust in the large number. Waste sawdust is often regarded as a waste that its values and benefits cannot be felt yet. Sawdust can be used as the primary material for the production of palette bolster, so it becomes  valuable and useful. The method used in the machine production are reviewing literature and by doing calculations. The next stage is the production of machines and testing process to find out the success of the design. After the production process, it is obtained the machine results with dimensions of 380×150×510 (mm), with the production capacity of 2 products in one-time process. A good mixture composition of the sawdust and adhesive is 60:40 with a production capacity of 12 per hour, the machine is expected to provide benefits in the palette production. Key words: Adhesive, bolster, pallet, sawdust.

Abstract

Onions are the main ingredients for all types of cuisine so the level of demand is quite high. In the industrial world, a great number of processes of onion epidermis peeling are still using either manual and simple low capacity methods or high capacity machines with expensive components. Therefore, it is necessary to make a high capacity machine to peel the onion epidermis in a short time by using inexpensive and durable components that are designed with the help of Solidworks software. The onion epidermis peeling and smoothing machine uses a  0.5 HP electric motor power as a bond drive and  a rubber friction method for the process of peeling the onion epidermis. Besides, this machine is also designed to be compatible with peeling by connecting the rotation of the motor that is directly connected to the electric motor so that its design is simpler and does not require a long cycle of time. This peeling process is able to peel 2 kg of onion in 3 minutes and 0.5 kg for the refinement process in 5 minutes.
