Abstract

Studi sebelumnya menemukan empat faktor pembentuk komitmen, yaitu religiusitas, organisasional, interpersonal, dan intrapersonal pada karyawan di amal usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM) bidang pendidikan. Namun ada beberapa keterbatasan pada penelitian tersebut, yakni (1) persoalan generalisasi hasil penelitian disebabkan tahap eksplorasi faktor secara bottom-up pada studi sebelumnya lebih banyak menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, sehingga dinilai kurang robust secara metodologis; (2) belum mampu memposisikan derajat pengaruh pada setiap anteseden terhadap komitmen organisasi. Oleh karena itu, peneliti akan melakukan studi lanjutan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel yang lebih besar dan beragam secara letak geografis. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan manfaat yang lebih kompleks dari penelitian sebelumya dalam pemetaan konsep komitmen organisasi di amal usaha Muhammadiyah bidang pendidikan, serta orientasi pelatihan dan peningkatan komitmen organisasi yang merujuk pada evidence based. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan/guru/dosen di amal usaha Muhammadiyah bidang pendidikan di seluruh Indonesia yang berjumlah 790 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gender, tingkat pendidikan, serta aspek psikologis (organisasional, religiusitas, interpersonal, dan intrapersonal) memberikan pengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasi pada pekerja di Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah bidang pendidikan. Adapun besaran kontribusi dari keseluruhan variabel tersebut adalah 16.9% terhadap komitmen organisasi. Kata-kata kunci: Atribut Psikologis; Gender, Komitmen Organisasi; Muhammadiyah;  Pendidikan

Abstract

Gratitude to nature is a feeling of gratitude for the benefits of nature obtained. Someone who has a sense of gratitude to nature tends to repay nature's kindness by behaving pro-environmentally. Religiosity is a factor of being grateful. This study aims to find out more about the influence of religiosity on gratitude to nature. The research subjects are Generation Z, which is currently the dominating population in Indonesia. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design and a simple linear regression test. The number of subjects as many as 301 people. The results show that there is a significant influence between religiosity on gratitude to nature in Generation Z. The R square value of 0.404 means that 40% religiosity is able to predict gratitude to nature. The higher the religiosity followed by the higher the gratitude for nature that is owned. Abstract

The presence of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy is an attempt by the government to address Indonesia's education problems. Unfortunately, he received mixed responses from the public. Some see it as a purely electoral political strategy, while others understand the policy's ability to improve the quality of education and Indonesia's human resources. The responses that emerged were mainly then directed at learning strategies that became praxis in classes at every level of education. This research is interested in investigating and evaluating the philosophical foundations of the MBKM policy from the views of Indonesian practitioners and academics. The research method used is critical synthesis review with material for analysis in the form of scientific articles with the criteria: published within the last five years, reviewing MBKM and written by Indonesian researchers. The results of the review showed that the majority considered that there were problems in the MBKM educational philosophy which tended to encourage neoliberalization and individualization. The implication is that teachers or lecturers tend to apply learning strategies that focus on individuals and direct learning to industry or market needs.

Abstract

Plurality is an undeniable social reality. But unfortunately, lately there are many phenomena that show tension due to differences in identity. In this article, this is understood as the result of education that is not based on a correct view of human’s true nature. What happens is that education treats humans like programmed machines that can swallow all facts according to the interests of the authorities or elites. This condition is very dangerous because it negates students' ability to understand and reflect on diversity. So that pluralism is only understood as knowledge in theory, not as a reality that occurs every day. Horizontal conflicts are also very prone to occur due to the lack of individual acceptance of multiple realities. Because of this, it is deemed necessary to reorient education so that education is based on the view of the whole human being and enables students to be more adaptive in responding to the reality of plurality. In this article, this effort is made by integrating human ontology of critical pedagogy with the multicultural Islamic religious education. The focus on multicultural Islamic religious education is based on the consideration that religion is an important identity for a person and that Islam is the religion embraced by the majority of the Indonesian population. It is shown here that critical pedagogy understands human nature as an independent, conscious and egalitarian being. This ontology inspires a learning methodology that encourages dialogue, mutual understanding, critical awareness, and produces actions to overcome injustices.

Abstract

The Integrated Islamic School (Sekolah Islam Terpadu) is known for its rapid development trend in the last decade. The development of the integrated Islamic School runs with the growth of interest to a pure Islamic Education. Appearing as an Islamic institution integrating both religious and secular knowledge, the Integrated Islamic School is able to master the market among the Muslim population. This article aims to scrutinize the characteristics and strategies of the school to expand amid the competitive Indonesian education market through human resource supervision. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the characteristics and strategies of the integrated Islamic School-based human resource supervision encompass political stability, strong Islamic symbols, Islamic personal development programs, inclusive scholarships, and incorporating Islamic populism. These characteristics and strategies attribute the integrated Islamic school as modern, advanced yet religious. In addition, the schools are exclusive in recruiting teachers, pragmatic in using Islamic symbols, and idealistic in the curriculum. Interestingly, this research evokes the integrated Islamic school’s two faces. Internally, it affiliates with an exclusive organization and ideology (Muslim Brotherhood), but simultaneously the school publicly shows inclusive nuances to the society.

Abstract

There is an assumption stating that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach and critical thinking skills are not compatible with the context of Indonesian education. To answer that assumption, this systematic literature review verifies the effectiveness of PBL in honing the critical thinking skills of Indonesian students based on previous studies. This systematic review also examines the extent to which the research results are supported by appropriate research frameworks and methodologies. Searching for all research in reputable online databases with relevant keywords was carried out to obtain all studies within a span of ten years (2009-2018) that used PBL to evaluate or observe changes in students' critical thinking capacities. There are twenty studies that meet the inclusion criteria and are the material of analysis in this systematic literature review. Although almost all studies (n = 17) reported that PBL was effective in encouraging critical thinking skills, they did not have a clear variable framework and weak research design. In these studies, the PBL concept was very varied and the measurement instruments were not well constructed. This systematic review concludes that further research methodologically stronger and based on key and current literature is urgently needed. The studies will build sufficient support from the scientific community and practitioners to adopt PBL and think critically as paradigms and learning outcomes in Indonesia.

Abstract

Organisasi Pemuda FKPPI berperan sebagai platform sosial yang bertujuan mengembangkan generasi muda melalui kesadaran dan tanggung jawab sosial, yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat dan untuk masyarakat, terutama di wilayah desa/kelurahan. FKPPI, sebagai wadah organisasi masyarakat, terbentuk berdasarkan keinginan bersama untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu, menyediakan forum yang ideal untuk melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan yang memiliki dampak positif. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan teknik kepada Pemuda FKPPI, dengan fokus pada aspek ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, sehingga mereka dapat menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan meningkatkan potensi angkatan kerja pemuda secara berkesinambungan. Tim PKM telah berhasil memberdayakan Pemuda FKPPI melalui pelatihan keterampilan hidup, khususnya dalam bidang instalasi kelistrikan rumah tinggal dan las listrik. Keterampilan ini tidak hanya bermanfaat untuk mentransfer pengetahuan kepada pemuda lainnya, tetapi juga dapat digunakan untuk membuka peluang usaha dengan melibatkan anggota FKPPI Tanjung Balai.

Abstract

The stagnant and even underdeveloped condition of Muslims all over the world has raised concerns among scholars. Many are trying to offer solutions to restore Islamic civilization to its peak. Various proposals lead to the reconstruction of philosophical elements, including epistemology and worldview, to more practical ones, such as the Islamization of knowledge. This study tries to compare the concept of worldview and its implications for the Islamization of knowledge from two major contemporary figures. The two are Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, a mainstream leader of the Islamization of knowledge from Malaysia, and Ayatullah Muhammad Taqie Miṣbāḥ Yazdī, a neo-Sadrian philosopher from Persia. This research used a qualitative approach, namely the method of literature study to understand the Islamic worldview from the perspective of the two figures and what the implications are for the Islamization of knowledge. The results of the study revealed they both believe in the importance of a genuine worldview as the basis for the reconstruction of Muslims at the individual level and Islam at the level of civilization. However, they adhere to different ontological and epistemological arguments. In Al-Attas, the commitment to sacred texts as well as the interpretation of classical scholars makes the model of Islamization of knowledge tend to be backward and reactionary towards the West. As for Ayatullah Yazdī, prioritizing reason and demonstration has led to a model of Islamization of science that is critical and open for dialogue toward Western science.

Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi oleh petani di Desa Nogo Rejo adalah mahalnya harga pupukkimia. Pupuk bersubsidi sangat terbatas, sehingga diperlukan alternatif penggantipupuk kimia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan petani sekaligus mengurangi ketergantunganpada penggunaan pupuk kimia. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihantentang proses pembuatan pupuk organik dan memberikan bantuan mesin granuluntuk membuat pupuk organik dari bahan baku limbah pertanian dan peternakan yangtersedia di Dusun 7, Desa Nogo Rejo. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) inidiharapkan agar mitra bersama petani dapat memanfaatkan sisa pertanian danpeternakan menjadi pupuk organik butiran yang berkualitas dengan menggunakanmesin granul, sehingga ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia dapat dikurangi danketersediaan pupuk organik butiran yang murah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan petanidapat terpenuhi melalui mitra UD.
