Abstract

Word of mouth (WOM) intentions plays an important role in influencing attitudes and behavior. The use of WOM in marketing strategies are increasing with the development of internet technology was allowing people to spread on to others. Consumers are more willing to do WOM if well-regarded corporate reputation, they are satisfied with their relationship with the company and they feel proximity with company.

Abstract

This research intended to determine the factors encouraging muzakki to pay their zakat on income through Zakat Management Organizations (ZMO). The responses of 251 respondents dominated by Semarang city residents were analyzed. The result showed that attitudes of muzakki, subjective norms, religiosity, and intention had a significant impact on zakat compliance behavior in contrast with the perceived behavioral control variable. On the other hand, those four independent variables affected significantly on intention. It can be concluded that intention can be used as intervening, especially for the perceived behavioral control which has a perfect indirect correlation to behavior. The contribution of those independent variables toward zakat compliance behavior was 64.8% (R-square was 0.648), while the rest was influenced by other variables that were not analyzed in this research. ZMO has improved its services by simplifying the method of zakat payment. Nevertheless, they still need to give the added value through the good of amil governance and provide the different value from the professional and integrated distribution of zakat funds. Still, the education and socialization towards muzakki are necessary. This research also shows there can be an intervention of the muzakkis’ institutions/workplace which can be analyzed further.==============================================================================================Model Perilaku Kepatuhan Membayar Zakat atas Penghasilan melalui Organisasi Pengelola Zakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor-faktor yang mendorong muzakki untuk membayar zakat atas penghasilan mereka melalui Organisasi Pengelola Zakat (OPZ). Tanggapan dari 251 responden yang didominasi oleh warga kota Semarang – Jawa Tengah, telah dianalisis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sikap muzakki, norma subjektif, religiusitas, dan niat memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perilaku kepatuhan membayar zakat, tetapi kontrol perilaku yang diterima tidak berpengaruh terhadap perilaku. Di sisi lain, keempat variabel independen tersebut memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap niat. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa niat dapat digunakan sebagai mediator, khususnya oleh faktor kontrol perilaku yang diterima/dirasakan, yang mana memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung sempurna terhadap perilaku. Kontribusi variabel-variabel independen terhadap perilaku kepatuhan membayar zakat atas penghasilan adalah 64,8% (R-square sebesar 0,648), sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. OPZ telah meningkatkan layanannya dengan menyederhanakan metode pembayaran zakat. Namun demikian, mereka masih perlu memberikan nilai tambah mereka melalui penerapan good amil governance yang baik, serta memberikan nilai beda dengan metode pendistribusian dana zakat yang profesional dan terintregasi. Meski begitu, edukasi dan sosialisasi kepada muzakki tetap diperlukan. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa mungkin ada intervensi dari institusi atau tempat kerja muzakki sebagai unsur yang dapat dianalisis lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This study aims to strengthen the opinion that the main goal of Islamic banks is not to obtain profit, but rather to improve the standards of living. In this study, the evidence is obtained by processing secondary data on Islamic banks in Indonesia during the period of 2011 to 2017 by using panel data regression model. The results of the data analysis support the hypothesis that banks whose goals are aimed at falah will demand lower payment obligations from customers, allowing the customers to manage funds in the real sector. The implication is also strengthened by good financial quality control, namely low non-performing financing value. Another form of support provided by Islamic banks, namely a more equitable cooperation contract, can also reflect Falah in every policy of Islamic banks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memberikan bukti empiris mengenai adanya peran variabel Employee Engagement sebagai variabel intervening antara pengaruh Coworker Support dan Kepemimpinan Transformasional terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 246 karyawan Rumah Sakit Nasional Diponegoro, Kota Semarang. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Jumlah responden yang mengisi kuesioner penelitian ini sebanyak karyawan. Uji hipotesis penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisis regresi linear berganda (multiple linear regression) dengan menggunakan aplikasi Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa (1) coworker support memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (2) coworker support memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap employee engagement (3) kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki pengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (4) kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap employee engagement (4) employee engagement memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja kinerja karyawan.Kata Kunci: coworker support, kepemimpinan transformasional, employee engagement, kinerja karyawan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the significance of the direct and indirect effect of institutional ownership (INST), profitability (ROI), funding policy (DER), and dividend policy (Tobin’s Q) through investment opportunity (MV/BVE). The research data used 21 samples of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2012-2016 period. Data analysis used path analysis with the help of EViews 9 and Sobel test to know the effect of investment opportunity as an intervening variable. The interpretation findings of the first line analysis model show that Profitability directly affects positively and significantly on Corporate Value. Whereas, based on second-line analysis model, Funding Policy and Dividend Policy indirectly have significant effects on Corporate Value through Investment Opportunity variable. Simultaneously, all independent variables affect 97.45% of Investment Opportunities and amounted to 97.97% of Corporate Value through Investment Opportunities.

Abstract

SMEs have contributed to labor absorption and the province's budget. However, SMEs face significant obstacles in accessing external funding. They also have a weak understanding of various financial aspects. This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy and external funding access on the growth of SMEs. The sample population comprised SMEs in the non-agricultural sector in Jepara, Indonesia, Central Java Province. This study employed PLS-SEM statistical tools to prove the hypotheses and answer the research objectives. The study indicated that financial literacy could improve access to external funding sources, enhancing the growth of SMEs. However, financial literacy had no significant positive effect on the development of SMEs. This study also proved complete mediation with external funding as the mediator. This study is expected to be an essential reference and recommendation for reducing the unemployment rate. Additionally, it increases the prosperity and welfare of the people in Central Java Province through the establishment and development of SMEs and government policies to further intensify the program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kinerja karyawan yang dipengaruhi oleh variabel kepemimpinan, lingkungan kerja dan komitmen organisasi. Untuk upaya meningkatkan kinerja karyawan bisa distimulus dari berbagai cara, diantaranya meningkatkan komitmen karyawan, memainkan peran kepemimpinan dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung. Lingkungan kerja yang mendukung dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuesioner dengan sampel 99 karyawan Koperasi Simpan Pinjam (KSP) di Kota Demak. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil yang positif dan siginifikan secara parsial dari pengaruh variabel kepemimpinan, lingkungan dan komitmen pada kinerja karyawan. Disisi lain, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh pada komitmen organisasi, karena belum ada indikator kepemimpinan yang jelas untuk mempengaruhi komitmen karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan, bahwa semua hipotesis terdukung kecuali satu hipotesis yang menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan pada komitmen organisasi. This research investigates employees’ performance which is influenced by leadership, work environment and organizational commitment. Employees’ performance can be developed by giving various stimulus, for example improving employees’ commitment, enhancing the role of leader and creating suitable work environment. This study is exploratory research and questioners are used to collect data from 99 respondents who are the employees of Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Karya Niaga Demak. The result shows that leadership, work environment and commitment have positive and significant effect to performance. Meanwhile, leadership does not have significant influence to organizational commitment, it seems that there is no clear leadership indicators that can be used to influence employees’ commitment.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to describe the effect of diversity of knowledge and financial capabilities on accountability for behavior control and improvement of financial performance.Design/methodology/approach – The population in this study were all branches of the Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil Sharia Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSPPS BMT) in Central Java. The sample used purposive sampling to obtain 146 respondents. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique with the application of Analysis Moment of Structural (AMOS 24).Findings – The results of the study explain the increase in financial performance based on Behavioral Accounting Theory and Human Resource Management Theory. The behavior control accountability model shows that perceived interest and intention in self-confidence to control accountability behavior as indicated by behavioral intention, perceived behavioral control, process and financial accountability can affect financial performanceResearch limitations/implications – Where the factors of diversity of knowledge and financial capability in shaping accountability for behavior control and impact on financial performance will offer a deeper understanding of the supporting factors for accountability for behavior control and also have an impact on efforts to improve financial performance.Practical implications – A better understanding of the factors influencing improvement efforts should assist accountants in information processing, quality of judgments, accounting problems that arise with accounting users and preparers, and the use of information in accounting decision making.Originality/value – Using and explaining about improving financial performance based on Behavioral Accounting Theory and Human Resource Management Theory. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap motivasi intrinsik serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja personel Direktorat Reserse Kriminal Khusus (Ditreskrimsus) Polda Banten. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh moderasi lingkungan kerja dalam peran motivasi intrinsik terhadap kinerja personel Ditreskrimsus Polda Banten. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksplanasi dengan pendekatan asosiatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh SDM Ditreskrimsus Polda Banten yang berjumlah 131 anggota personel PNS Polri. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sensus, di mana seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel. Pengukuran variabel penelitian dilakukan melalui kuesioner pribadi (Personality Questionnaires) dengan angket tertutup yang menggunakan skala 1-5, dari Sangat Tidak Setuju (STS) hingga Sangat Setuju (SS). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh hypothesis diterima, bahwasanya  kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja SDM dan motivasi intrinsic.  Kemudian, motivasi intrinsik berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja SDM.  Variabel moderasi lingkungan kerja terbukti mampu memperkuat pengaruh motivasi intrinsik terhadap kinerja SDM, yang menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan kerja yang baik dapat memperkuat hubungan antara motivasi intrinsik dan kinerja SDM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran budaya organisasi, keterlibatan kerja personil, dan Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) terhadap kinerja personil Polri di Ditreskrimsus Polda Banten. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksplanatori yang bersifat asosiatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih. Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh SDM Subdit I Industri Perdagangan Ditreskrimsus Polda Banten, yang berjumlah 134 personil, terdiri dari 131 anggota personil dan 3 PNS Polri. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan responden yang berjumlah 131 anggota personil. Pengukuran variabel dilakukan melalui kuesioner pribadi dengan skala Likert 1-5, di mana pernyataan berkisar dari Sangat Tidak Setuju (STS) hingga Sangat Setuju (SS). Analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin optimal implementasi budaya organisasi, semakin baik pula perilaku Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Selain itu, peningkatan budaya organisasi juga berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja pelayanan. Keterlibatan kerja yang tinggi berhubungan positif dengan peningkatan perilaku OCB, yang pada gilirannya turut meningkatkan kinerja pelayanan personil Polri. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan budaya organisasi dan keterlibatan kerja dapat memperkuat perilaku OCB dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan personil Polri.
