Abstract

The frequent occurrence of natural disasters requires telecommunications companies to require a backup internet backbone line if the telecommunications infrastructure is damaged/disconnected due to natural disasters. Reporting from inet.detik.com APJII revealed that the Jakarta-Singapore fiber optic network had broken, which had an impact on internet services in Indonesia. Fiber optic repair can take up to 2-3 weeks requiring network backup, the main solution for network backup with satellite, but problems will arise when configuration for satellite lines takes 1-2 days. Problems arise again when combined between fiber optic internet lines and satellite internet lines which cause the looping network to create network disturbances, to maintain interference, a spanning tree protocol method is needed to backup lines automatically and create link redundancy if one of the lines is problematic or disconnected. The purpose of this study is to design a link redundancy topology for security and mitigation of network availability using the rapid spanning tree protocol (RSTP) with router rb750gr3, switch rb260gs and switch dgs-108. In the RSTP network topology, it is designed with 3 redundant lines connected between the rb260gs switch and the dgs-108 switch, with an on-stick router rb750gr3 and is designed with 6 access mode vlan lines. In testing the inter-vlan network, RSTP terminates the redundancy link and then uses the ping command at the command prompt to determine how many minutes to backup the link. The NDLC method is used in determining how many seconds to backup this redundancy link using. The results of testing the link termination ether2-switch-mikrotik and ether1-switch-dlink using the "ping" command for 20 seconds in determining how many seconds to backup the link get the result that Request Time Out does not occur and the average time for each pc in determining the backup path for the pc-vlan20 22.9ms, pc-vlan30 35ms, pc-vlan70 23.5ms. The results of link termination testing ether3-switch-mikrotik and ether2-switch-dlink using the "ping" command for 20 seconds in determining how many seconds to backup the link get the result that there is no Request Time Out and the average time for each pc in determining the backup path for the pc-vlan20 23ms, pc-vlan30 24ms, pc-vlan70 43.7ms.

Abstract

In the use of fiber optic cables, there are technologies used, including FTTH (Fiber to The Home) technology infrastructure, which is an optical network architecture starting from the central office (STO) to customer devices in every home (end user) [1]. EPON uses a point-to-multipoint architecture and a passive transmission splitter to provide services over Ethernet. EPON does not require complicated protocols, optical signals are transmitted accurately to end users, and data from end users can be transmitted to the central network [2]. The problem in this study when implementing FTTH (Fiber to The Home) network technology infrastructure using OLT EPON hardware requires a good and mature design because when selecting the splitter ratio used, the passive splitter used, the pigtail attenuation, and the attenuation of the patchcore (link power budget) must be considered. If the design and simulation are not carried out properly, there will be a nominal budget that will swell. To avoid the funds exceeding budget, design and simulation is carried out using the Fiber Optic Calculator Application so that there is an idea of the splitter ratio value and the passive splitter value to be used. This is expected to be a solution to the problem of selecting the value of the splitter ratio and the passive splitter used. This study aims to compare the values of the magnitude of the splitter and passive splitter ratios used when simulating the Fiber Optic Calculator application with real implementation on the OLT EPON HSQG network hardware

Abstract

When accessing various traffic activities on the internet, you have to pay attention to a reliable and stable connection to avoid downtime problems. Downtime or failure to access the internet can have a very disruptive impact on users while accessing the internet network. Using two or more ISPs is the best solution to avoid interference from ISPs due to having backup paths from other ISPs. Failover is a mechanism for merging or redirecting internet data traffic if a technical problem occurs at one of the ISPs to maintain continuity and smooth internet access. Problems arise if the bandwidth on each internet line is different, on the internet line with the lowest bandwidth value there will be full traffic (overload/congestion) which results in users who are diverted to the internet line with congestion conditions will experience delays in accessing the website and run online applications. The problem in this research is that when the internet bandwidth of the ISP-1 line has a download speed of 205Mbps and the ISP-2 line has a download speed of 50Mbps, it will cause overload traffic (overload/congestion) on the ISP-2 line because the bandwidth is only 50Mbps. The aim of this research is to differentiate between load balance and traffic redirection (failover) where the performance results of previous research are with the performance of failover research on 2 ISPs with different download and upload bandwidth speeds. This research will discuss the analysis and implementation of data traffic redirection (failover) for internet access on two ISPs with simultaneous performance on both ISPs and failover on 2 ISPs with different download and upload bandwidth speeds

Abstract

DDoS is a threat that often disrupts server availability resulting in network devices becoming powerless. In Indonesia, it was recorded that the results of anomaly detection obtained the source IP address and destination IP address, with the country detected as a threat actor who has the potential to use the IP address as a proxy to disguise the real IP address of the threat actor being the first country in Indonesia with 124 million sources of anomalies. OLT and routers are important components in computer network infrastructure by managing data traffic between network devices and users. VLAN is a technology for separating a logical network from a physical network that can help secure the network against DDoS attacks. By using VLANs, it is possible to group different traffic to mitigate the impact of DDoS attacks and protect the network infrastructure. VLAN implementation in mitigating DDoS attacks on HSGQ OLTs and Mikrotik Routers faces technical challenges such as proper configuration, traffic monitoring, and security management. This research is expected to provide insight for network professionals and security researchers in order to improve the security of computer network infrastructure

Abstract

This service aims to analyze the application of Optical Line Terminal (OLT) with splitter and passive splitter ratios at eight Optical Distribution Points (ODP) in the Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network. Through distance measurements, observations, and analysis of the power link budget and rise time budget, this research evaluates the performance of the FTTH network and determines the optimal configuration for the OLT and splitter. The results show that proper OLT settings and splitter ratios can significantly improve optical network performance. These findings provide practical guidance for internet service providers in designing efficient and reliable FTTH networks.

Abstract

Perkembangan Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah memberikan dampak besar dalam penyusunan karya ilmiah. AI membantu mahasiswa dalam pencarian referensi, analisis data, serta penyusunan teks yang lebih sistematis. Namun, pemanfaatannya masih menghadapi tantangan seperti kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa, validitas sumber, serta risiko plagiarisme dan etika akademik. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan AI diperlukan agar mahasiswa dapat menggunakannya secara efektif dan bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini mengkaji manfaat pelatihan AI dalam meningkatkan literasi digital, efisiensi riset, serta kualitas karya ilmiah. Pelatihan ini juga memastikan penggunaan AI tetap sesuai dengan standar akademik dan etika penulisan. Dengan adanya pelatihan yang terstruktur, mahasiswa dapat lebih siap menghadapi era digital dan menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Pengelolaan arsip secara manual masih menjadi kendala pada beberapa instansi, termasuk Bidang Hubungan Industrial Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, karena menyulitkan pencarian, rawan duplikasi, serta berisiko kehilangan dokumen. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan aplikasi arsip digital berbasis web untuk mendukung efisiensi pengelolaan dokumen. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi aplikasi dengan framework Laravel dan basis data SQLite, serta pengujian menggunakan Blackbox Testing. Aplikasi yang dihasilkan memiliki fitur login dan registrasi, dashboard, manajemen kategori, pengelolaan arsip dokumen dan gambar, manajemen pengguna, serta pencarian arsip dengan filter. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan aplikasi berfungsi baik, mempermudah pencarian, meningkatkan keamanan data, dan mendukung kinerja staf. Kesimpulannya, aplikasi ini efektif membantu mitra dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas layanan administrasi.

Abstract

AbstractIn today's increasingly advanced digital era, the utilization of graphic design has become an essential skill, particularly in supporting promotional activities, social campaigns, and digital education. This community service activity aims to provide training on creating pamphlets for students of SMK Al Karimah, organized by fourth-semester students of STMIK Lombok who are currently undergoing fieldwork practice.The training method used was demonstration and hands-on practice utilizing Adobe Photoshop as the design tool and pamphlets as the publication platform, with a creative practice-based approach. The implementation of the training included material presentation sessions, demonstrations on pamphlet creation, and independent practice guided by tutors.The results of this activity showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding and skills, as evidenced by the comparison between pre-test and post-test scores.Challenges encountered included a shortage of devices/laptops, which led one participant to use their own mobile phone, causing difficulties during the hands-on and independent practice sessions. Despite this, the training successfully enhanced participants’ digital literacy and broadened their awareness of the importance of graphic design in supporting various activities in the modern era.

Abstract

This study develops and validates a modified Technology Acceptance Model–Expectation Confirmation Theory (TAM-ECT) framework to evaluate user satisfaction and behavioral intention in the context of community-based internet services (RT/RW Net). Unlike prior TAM-ECT studies predominantly conducted in commercial ISP or e-service environments, this research explicitly focuses on decentralized, community-managed internet services characterized by informal governance structures, low switching barriers, and non-contractual user relationships. Addressing the lack of research on decentralized internet service models, this study integrates external factors service quality, cost-effectiveness, system quality, and customer support and moderating factors, namely digital literacy and switching cost. A quantitative survey approach was employed, collecting valid responses from 803 active users between January and March 2025. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA). The results demonstrate that perceived ease of use strongly influences perceived usefulness and behavioral intention, while perceived usefulness significantly impacts both user satisfaction and behavioral intention. Notably, and contrary to the core assumption of Expectation Confirmation Theory, user satisfaction does not significantly predict behavioral intention, indicating a context-specific deviation in community-based digital services where pragmatic usability considerations outweigh affective satisfaction. External factors such as customer support and system quality significantly affect user perceptions, highlighting the importance of technical performance and user experience in decentralized service settings. Digital literacy positively moderates the relationship between perceived ease of use and behavioral intention. The IPMA findings reveal that ease of use, service usefulness, and customer support are the most critical areas for improvement. Theoretically, this study extends TAM-ECT by demonstrating that continuance intention in community-based internet services is driven more by usability and functional value than by satisfaction-driven confirmation mechanisms commonly observed in commercial platforms. This study offers practical insights for optimizing technical quality, service functionality, and user digital competencies to foster sustainable adoption in community-managed internet infrastructures.
