Abstract

This research was conducted against the backdrop of fluctuations in the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) values of PT PG Rajawali I during the 2021–2024 period, reflecting the dynamics of the company's performance achievements. Furthermore, observations indicate several issues related to employee performance, such as late arrivals at work, a tendency to delay task completion, increased workloads during the milling season, and errors in report preparation that require improvement. This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and work engagement on employee performance at PT PG Rajawali I. The study used a quantitative approach with a saturated sampling technique, so that the entire population of 64 employees was selected as respondents. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale. The data obtained were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics through validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-tests), simultaneous tests (F-tests), and coefficients of determination. The results showed that work motivation and work engagement have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. These findings indicate that increasing work motivation and work engagement can drive improved employee performance. Therefore, companies are expected to continue to develop various efforts that can increase employee motivation and work engagement to support the achievement of organizational goals effectively.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of work motivation and ethics on the job commitment of BPTI Surabaya administrators. The study's population consisted of 159 participants, and the sample comprised 113 individuals. The data collection was accomplished through the use of questionnaires and various documentation methods. Data sources were obtained through both primary and secondary data. Data processing and analysis are performed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 15.0. The research findings indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the job commitment of administrators. The t-count value (8.637) is greater than the t-table value (2.390), and the p-value of 0.000 is less than 0.05, which supports this. Work ethic has a positive and significant influence on administrators' job dedication, as indicated by the t-count value (4.184), which exceeds the t-table value (2.390), and a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. There is a positive and substantial impact on management's job commitment when work ethics and work motivation are integrated simultaneously. Work motivation exerts a more significant effect on management's job commitment than work ethic, as indicated by the regression coefficient of the work motivation variable (0.685), which surpasses that of work ethic (0.409). Work motivation (X1) and work ethic (X2) account for 86.00% of the manager's job commitment (Y). Conversely, the remaining 14.00% is affected by extraneous elements or variables beyond the purview of this study, including work morale, atmosphere, workability, education, and training.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between emotional intelligence, organizational culture, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) among management employees in a type C hospital established in 2021. Using a quantitative approach, the research applied a saturated sampling technique involving 55 respondents. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS 4.0.9.9 to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on OCB, suggesting that employees with higher emotional intelligence tend to demonstrate stronger discretionary behaviors that benefit the organization. Similarly, organizational culture also shows a positive and significant effect on OCB, highlighting the role of shared values and norms in encouraging supportive behaviors among employees. However, the moderating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between emotional intelligence and OCB was not supported in this study. From a managerial perspective, the results provide practical implications: management should focus on developing programs to enhance employees’ emotional intelligence and foster a strong organizational culture. These efforts are essential to sustain positive behaviors beyond formal job descriptions, ultimately contributing to improved organizational effectiveness and service quality.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of work-life balance on employee performance through employee loyalty at PT XXX. A good balance between work and personal life is considered an important factor in creating a healthy and productive work environment, which can strengthen employee loyalty and improve performance. This research uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 40 permanent employees of the company. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS software. The results show that work-life balance has a positive and significant impact on employee loyalty, and in turn, employee loyalty positively affects employee performance. Furthermore, employee loyalty is found to significantly mediate the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining work-life balance not only to increase employee loyalty but also to improve performance outcomes. It is suggested that companies implement policies and build work environments that support work-life balance as part of their human resource strategy. This study contributes to the literature on human resource management, especially in the manufacturing context, and provides practical insights for managers in developing effective strategies to enhance both employee well-being and organizational performance in competitive business environments.
