Abstract

The improvement of SMEs productivity can be seen from the ability of SMEs to make an effective and efficient production process. The problems issued by the Aceh Traditional Cake Maker SMEs above if viewed in more detail occur in the production process. SMEs do not support many production processes that can be increased to be more effective and efficient. During this time, SMEs Makers of Traditional Acehnese Cake feel there is waste that often occurs. However, Aceh's traditional SMEs makers rarely take measurements. In fact, waste really determines business efficiency and will certainly have an impact on productivity and low business profits. The purpose of this study is to allow waste that occurs with the concept of discussing Lean with the method of mapping the flow of values and reducing this waste so as to be able to increase the productivity of MSMEs Traditional Acehnese Cake Makers. The Lean concept will eliminate waste or non-value added activities from a process at the Aceh Traditional Cake Maker SMEs so that activities along the process flow produce Value. The method used to collect waste is Value Stream Mapping (VSM). The results of this study obtained waste that occurs in the process of making cakes waste of waiting time and waste of transportation that occurs in the work element of mixing dough, waste of defective products that occur in the work element of frying. The improvement offered to reduce waste is the activation of production equipment.

Abstract

Water is a basic need that is very important for humans and other living creatures. Drinking water is water whose quality meets health requirements and can drink, it was clean water is water used for daily necessities whose quality meets the requirements of health and can be taken if it has been cooked. The quality of products is one of the most important factors affecting the company's progress, as well as for the water company. In this regard discuss about water quality control if it meets quality standards or not. Quality Control of water in accordance with the standardization and quality standards are allowed very closely related to the level of customer satisfaction. Control of the quality of a product can be done by measuring the different variables that influence it. One way to measure and determine the quality of a product is by using the Taguchi method is done with the design parameters is one of the design phase of a product or process. So hopefully by doing this study water quality PDAM Tirta Meulaboh can be controlled and can be controlled which can certainly improve water services to the people of Aceh Barat.Kata Kunci : Water, Quality Control, Customer Satisfaction, Taguchi.

Abstract

Brick molding company has been very flourishing in Nagan Raya, but in this study focuses on molding bricks located at the Blang Bintang, Simpang Maklina, Gampong Cot Beetle, district. Kuala, Nagan Raya. Problems that occur in this company include: determining the standard time work, measuring work time using work sampling method, measuring the working time, calculating standard labor. This study aims to measure the standard time by determining the amount of labor. This research work sampling method. This conduct by direct observation activities of operators in completing the work which is then used to measure the labor force. Standard time operator workload and hours of productive work in completing the work, so that can know the amount of labor that should be employed. The analysis results obtained in this study .2350 minute of normal time, standard time of 0.2355 min, whereas the number of personnel is 0.0532. It can be concluded that the normal time as much as 5.32% so that idle time is still too big.Key Words: Standard Time , Work Sampling , Workload, Labor.

Abstract

UD.Ridwan is one of the community businesses in West Aceh, precisely in Ujong Kalak, which processes fish waste into animal feed. UD.Ridwan in its business activities has experienced several problems in the part of the supply of raw materials that are not fixed, because the amount of fish waste is not fixed per day. UD. RIDWAN in its production activities, every 1 kg of raw materials used can produce 761 grams of feed product. As a result, the results of feed production are also not fixed, and cannot fulfill orders from consumers, so there is often a mismatch between demand and orders. This will lead to unfulfilled consumer demand and delays in distribution to each distribution center (DC). UD. Ridwan distributes his products to existing DCs, namely: Medan, Banda Aceh, and Lhokseumawe. To fix the losses faced by the company, it is necessary to measure the performance of the supply chain first. There are several models of supply chain performance measurement systems, namely: POA (Performance of Activity) and SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference). POA is a model used to measure the performance of activities that are part of the process in the supply chain. Activity performance is measured in various dimensions, namely: costs, time, capacity, capabilities, productivity, utilization and outcomes. Meanwhile, SCOR is basically a model based on a process

Abstract

PT. Fajar Baizury and Brothers engaged in processing oil palm products. The palm oil plantation industry produces 2 types of products, namely palm oil and palm kernel core. This research is more focused on the palm kernel produced, especially in terms of the quality produced.  The  quality  of  the  resulting  kernel  is  of  course  good  and  some  are  defective. Defective kernel production results can cause problems for the company, because it can be detrimental. So the levels of defects needs to be reduced and controlled so as not to cause harm to the company. Defective kernel produced have three categories, there are moisture, dirt, and broken. The Seven Quality control device are used to reduce the type of disability produced. By using data that has been obtained during field observations and data from bookkeeping results provided by the company, then data processing can be done. The data used in this study is the production data from 2018. So as to reduce the type of defect that the kernel produced.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the Integration of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) to Increase the Effectiveness of Screw Press Machines at PT. Beurata Subur Persada Nagan Raya Regency. Based on the results of the study showed that the effectiveness of the Screw Press for PT. Beurata Subur Persada is still in the effective category with an average Overall Equipment Effectiveness value of 86.14 percent. This means that the screw press machine used is still very effective in the process of pressing the FFB. From the results of the analysis of the six big lose factor, it can be seen that Reduced speed losses is a very significant factor in the decline in OEE values on screw press machines with an average of 52.69% or with a time of 130.47 minutes. The results of the FMEA analysis show that the RPN value the biggest is 180 in the breakdown losses for the type of broken shift failure then the second largest is 120 in the reduced speed losses for the type of failure the engine speed is reduced. The results of the FMEA weighting with the largest RPN (risk priority number) for each category are 180 and 120. Based on these results it is necessary to propose improvements to reduce the breakdown losses and reduced speed losses in the highest repair priority, namely broken beds and reduced engine speeds. Overcoming these problems can be done by doing preventive maintenance on a regular basis once a week to prevent damage by dismantling the machine and re-installing and tightening or replacing new components.

Abstract

Kue Karah is a traditional cake that has been part of the cultural richness of the Acehnese people for a long time. In West Aceh district, the center of Kue Karah production is in Meureubo District, especially in Langung Village. The problem of partners in making Kue Karah is the process of making karah cakes in the traditional way. In the manufacturing process workers experience the risk of fatigue, and musculoskeletal disorders caused by exposure to heat production equipment. In addition, the quality of products produced is not standardized and organizational and financial management is still family based. For this reason, it is necessary to apply the right technology to overcome this weakness. This community service program is a community partnership program between the university and UMKM makers Kue Karah. This program not only offers problem solving regarding the use of Kue Karah makers, but also technology transfer in the form of Kue Karah makers to improve the quality of Kue Karah products and increase production volumes. In addition, this service program also provides training and assistance in organizational and financial management. Thus this program has a comprehensive, meaningful, complete and sustainable value.

Abstract

Persaingan di dunia industri yang sangat kompetitif dalam menuntut setiap perusahaan untuk  melakukan perbaikan, dengan harapan dapat  memperbaiki  performasi yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi terjadinya waktu tunggu dan mengeliminasi waste untuk meningkatkan kualitas  menjadi lebih baik. PT Pertamina Fuel Terminal (FT) Meulaboh merupakan salah satu unit PT Pertamina yang bertugas sebagai penerimaan, penimbunan dan penyaluran bahan bakar minyak. Dalam melaksanakan suatu aktivitas pada bagian sales service terjadinya waste khususnya pada fungsi layanan jasa. Berdasarkan perhitungan tabel hasil akhir dengan penentuan nilai kolerasi antar waste di dapat nilai waste yang paling kritis adalah watting yaitu 0,50 dan ikuti waste lainnya seperti Overproduction yaitu 0,20, Inventory, defcts 0,04, processing 0,04, transportation 0,02 , unnecessary motion 0,02. Hasil dari identifikasi waste melalui intervensi lean service terdapat 12 aktivitas salah satunya antara lain kelebihan mencetak loading order , perubahan plant yang telah disusun, terjadinya pengajuan penangganan nomor dilevery order yang terblok, menunggu keterlambatan pembayaran oleh custumer dan keterlambatan penyusunan pengambilan pengajuan loading order yang terblok.

Abstract

Minimasi waste dapat meningkatkan profit perusahaan sehingga dapat memenuhi permintaan konsumen. Identifikasi waste yang timbul pada unit produksi merupakan langkah awal untuk melakukan tindakan minimasi waste. Pada lantai produksi Crude Palm Oil (CPO) terdapat enam stasiun kerja yaitu Timbangan, Loading Ramp, Sterilizer, Thresher, Pressing dan Clarification. Kegiatan dilakukan pada setiap stasiun kerja sangat kompleks dan panjang yang memungkinkan terjadinya kegiatan yang tidak mempunyai nilai tambah atau non value added (NVA). Perusahaan dapat mengurangi NVA melalui berbagai kegiatan produksi dengan Lean Manufacturing. Metode yang diaplikasikan untuk mengidentifikasikan waste adalah metode Waste Assessment Model. Metode ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan dan menyederhanakan permasalahan waste untuk dapat mengidentifikasi waste yang paling kritis. Berdasarkan identifikasi waste dengan menggunakan metode Waste Assessment Model diperoleh hasil waste yaitu Overproduction 25%, Defect 20%, Waiting 18%, Transportation 14%, Inventory 13%, Motion 7%, dan Process 3%. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi, tiga persentase terbesar menjadi waste kritis yaitu overproduction, defects, dan waiting. Hasil pengelompokkan ini dapat ditentukan akar permasalahan dengan menggunakan metode fishbone diagram, sehingga dapat memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan terhadap waste yang terjadi.

Abstract

The achievement of the asphalt production target is largely determined by the engine performance. good engine maintenance is one way to improve engine performance. One way to carry out machine maintenance begins with identifying the damage that occurs so that the machine's performance can be predicted to maintain the quality and quantity of good asphalt production. Asphalt production activities are often disrupted due to the low performance of the Asphalt Machinery Plant (AMP) production machine, while the AMP engine is the main engine in production activities. The method used in this research is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). This method is used to determine exactly what actions will be taken for preventive maintenance on each component of the AMP engine. The purpose of this research is to determine the critical components. Provide recommendations for corrective actions using the FMEA method and predict asphalt production results after the application of RCM. The results of this study obtained four critical components that were damaged, namely the RPN value on the Cold Bin 450, Dryer 360, Hot Bin 360 and Genset AMP 350. Recommendations for corrective action given using the FMEA method are checking the load of the material on the conveyor, checking the load, making Operating SOPs and preparing backups by adjusting the crash history. The prediction of the increase in asphalt production obtained after the application of RCM in November was 2689 tons with an increase in production of 46.8%, in December the production results obtained were 4620 tons, an increase of 29.32%, while in January the production results were 4837 tons with an increase in production percentage of 10.26%.
