Abstract

The house is a place of residence or shelter for individuals or groups. In general, the house has ventilation, ventilation functions as a rotation or exchange of air in the room. The existence of ventilation is very important for air exchange, but the existing air pollution, including microbes, causes air exchange through ventilation into the house which is not safe for health. So there is a need for filtration so that the polluted air can be filtered. . The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of ventilation carbon filters in controlling microorganisms in room air. This type of research is experimental research with a research design using the Pre and Post Test Only Design .The results showed 1) There was an average decrease in the number of germs in the room by 1412 CFU/m3 or 62%. 2) There is an average decrease in the number of fungi in the room by 17 CFU/m3 or 44%. 3) there is a significant difference in reducing the number of germs in the room air before and after being given a carbon filter ventilation with p-Value = 0.000. 4) There is a significant difference in the reduction of mold numbers in room air before and after being given a carbon filter ventilation p-Value = 0.035. The recommendations given are that it is hoped that the community can use carbon filters as adsorbents for air pollutants that enter the room. Carbon filter ventilation that has been used needs to be washed and activated so that it can adsorb air pollutants more optimally. The room still has to be cleaned regularly to reduce air pollution which poses a risk to the health of occupants.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical area which is an excellent place for mosquito breeding, because the temperature, weather, and seasons in Indonesia are very supportive in the mosquito breeding process, so that the mosquito population becomes high and very dangerous for human life, the existence of vectors that are detrimental to human life, because Mosquitoes are vectors that cause and transmit diseases in human life. To control the mosquito population, it is necessary to eradicate it by reducing the mosquito population. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the yellow light ovitrap model with a modified water bottle, in the intervention group and the control group. Observational research, cross sectional study design. Survey of mosquito locations on the terrace of the house. The survey data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of Chi-square analysis obtained P value = 0.08 > 0.05. So Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means that there is no statistically significant relationship between the yellow light ovitrap and the modified water bottle. does not rule out the possibility of 2.33 times being found trapped mosquitoes.

Abstract

The government imposed the implementation of the new normal era so that the socio-economic life of the community could run well. New normal is a change in behavior or habits to continue carrying out activities as usual but by always implementing health protocols in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation of health protocols has not been maximally implemented by the community, especially including school children. The implementation of health protocols in controlling Covid-19 needs to be conveyed to students with the right information media so that students understand and want to implement health protocols both at school and activities outside school. Delivery of appropriate extension methods can improve the effectiveness of the information submitted. Media information will be effective if in accordance with the level of audience or recipient of the message. Delivery in adults will be different from the age of children. Media information that attracts attention will add to the understanding of the target group. The purpose of this study is to know the difference in knowledge based on the type of covid-19 prevention and control education media. This study was conducted by conducting Quasi experiments with research design using Pre and Post Test only Design. The results showed 1) there is a significant difference in the difference in knowledge of elementary school children before and after the use of print media to control Covid-19 with p-Value = 0.001. 2). There was a significant difference in the difference in knowledge of elementary school children before and after the use of video media to control Covid-19 with p-Value = 0,000.3). There was a significant difference in the difference in knowledge of elementary school children before and after the use of teaching aids media to control Covid-19 with p-Value = 0.000.

Abstract

Dengue fever (DHF) is still a major public health problem in tropical areas, including Indonesia, due to high morbidity rates and environmental factors that support mosquito breeding. This study aimed to analyze the role of health education in increasing awareness and behavior of dengue prevention in communities in remote areas in the working area of Puskesmas Kota Padang, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province. Using a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design, 90 respondents were purposively selected and assessed for changes in knowledge and behavior before and after the intervention. The intervention included health education on dengue prevention, with a focus on the 3M Plus method: drain, cover, recycle, and use larvicide. The results showed a significant increase in the proportion of respondents with good prevention behavior, increasing from 15.6% at pretest to 91.1% at posttest (p-value = 0.000). This indicates that health education significantly improved community knowledge and encouraged positive behavior change in dengue prevention. However, sustained community involvement and support from the government are required to sustain this improvement. These findings emphasize the importance of structured health education programs in reducing dengue transmission and suggest further research to explore long-term behavioral adherence and integration with public health policies
