Abstract

In this paper we applied change point detection methods for failures detection in the drilling process. We calculated the change points on three drilling parameters, i.e., the weight on bit, top drive torque and rate of penetration. Using the concept of reliability, we measured the time between change points as the time between failures. The minimum of mean time between change points from those three parameters is suggested to be the time for monitoring the drilling process.

Abstract

In this paper we present several techniques for detecting simple defect on the texture. The simple defect means, that the defect can be detected via image histogram or via wavelet of the image histogram. Hill estimator is one of the techniques that we suggest to use to solve this problem, since it does not need estimate parameters for estimating the image density

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a ship performance dashboard for the e-filing International Safety Management (ISM) Code system at a company in Surabaya. E-filing system is a system for filling and sending reports by ship crew at sea to the office. The purpose of the e-filing system is to simplify monitoring ISM Code implementation from the office.  But in practice, some problems occurred in the system. Office crews need a long time to process the data and there is not enough information to make a decision. However, the problem can be solved by designing a ship performance dashboard. The dashboard objective is to visualize the important data from the ship so that the company can access the needed information. The dashboard design is based on reports that are sent by the ship crew and then processed with software. Processing data with software can make it easier and faster for the company. The processed data will be visualized using a dashboard for different purposes based on the information that’s needed. Overall, dashboard visualization will provide information about ship audit progress, machine damage and repairment that occurred, main engine indicator, and warning system for each main engine and generator component running hours.

Abstract

The materials' delivery delay at a manufacturer's industry causes problems in the production line. The Purchasing Department must notify the vendors whose deliveries are late based on the delivery notification to minimize the product expenses. This research aims to construct material allocation methods and group the vendors to notify the vendors of the shipping materials. We started with mining the SAP data and then cleaning the dataset and constructing the algorithm using Python to create a shipping notification. Finally, we presented the results in a dashboard built using Power BI. As the result of this study, we have two material allocation groups: the high-quantity and the high-value method. Additionally, we also group the purchase orders (PO) as problem-free purchase orders and purchase orders with problems. Based on those grouping in material allocation and purchase orders; we classified the jobs as a job with complete required materials (Job OK), a job with uncomplete required materials (Job Not OK), and a job that the needed materials are on the way and the vendors can be notified to speed up the delivery (Job may be OK).  This classification helps the Purchasing Department send notifications to the vendors who potentially have materials delivery delays.

Abstract

This study aims to design a monitoring dashboard that can replace the company's two routine manual reports. These reports were prepared by the business intelligence team manually and reported to the board of directors and other department members bi-weekly. The designed dashboard was constructed using python programming to clean and prepare the data set and Google Data Studio to visualize the data. As a result, the dashboard simplifies the reporting process, minimizing human errors, helping business analysts make decisions, and increasing productivity activities in the company. At the end of this work, the designed dashboard is able to replace the manual processes done by the business intelligence team making processing and visualization time be reduced significantly. The work also enables the business intelligence team who has no prior experience in making the report to be able to use the python code and update the dashboard’s data after being trained for short period amount of time.

Abstract

This research aims to design a TX compliance dashboard in PT X. TX is an asset tracking application in PT X which is applied for monitoring filling station operational activities on gas cylinder products. However, there are several problems in information visualization, such as long and complicated data processing and visualization that do not give sufficient information for analysis and decision-making activities. These problems can be solved by designing a TX compliance dashboard that is integrated with data processing software. The purpose of dashboard design is to visualize all performance assessments regarding the implementation of TX. Data processing is done based on TX and ERP transaction data updated weekly, using software to increase data processing accuracy and speed. The processed data is integrated into the dashboard as a data visualization tool. Overall, the TX compliance dashboard can answer the needs of fill monitoring, delivery monitoring, transaction verification rate, cylinder scanning violation, and GPS-related violation.

Abstract

Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia with high density population which can cause many living problem such as dengue fever. Dengue fever outbreak is caused by Aedes aegepty and spread fast in high density population. Many researches about dengue fever had been done in other city and country in order to decrease the spread of this outbreak. This research’s aim is to predict external factor that can caused dengue fever outbreak in Surabaya. Method that is used in this paper is Geospatial Weighted Regression (GWR) which focus on local coefficient estimates at each health centres in Surabaya. Health centres that have high local coefficient estimates have strong correlation of spreading dengue fever in Surabaya. This research’s only focused 3 external factor in which consist of family poverty percentage, precipitation, and levels of education. Levels of education is the only factor that have high local coefficient estimates and have strong correlation of spreading dengue fever in Surabaya compared to the other factors.

Abstract

The rapid development in technological advances has increased the competition among companies in the information and communication sector in making superior products that demanded by customers, one of which is smartphone. This research was conducted to identify trends in customer’s interest in selecting second-hand smartphones, low-end smartphones, and refurbished smartphones. Data is collected using online questionnaire (google form) with the target of student respondents and offline questionnaire with the target of worker respondents (security, cleaning service, industrial employees, etc.). The Analytical Hierarchy Process methodis used to determine the preferences of smartphones alternatives desired by respondents. Low-end smartphones are the main choice of student and worker respondents.

Abstract

This research aims to design a telemetry dashboard for PT X. Telemetry is a tank monitoring tool. This tool is installed for each customer or business partner of PT X. The telemetry monitoring process produces a dataset, which has to be presented to the Board of Directors of PT. X for further performance evaluation. Before using a dashboard, the team processed and visualized the dataset manually. So naturally, it was very time-consuming and prone to human error. Therefore, we designed a dashboard based on the monthly reports using a Google Data Studio in this study. Additionally, we prepared the dataset for creating the dashboard using Python and Google Sheets to reduce the processing time. The designed dashboard can provide an overview of the tank’s conditions and telemetry utilization, compare the telemetry measurement of each customer and business partner, save distribution costs and reduce the filling frequency, and monitor the KPI of delivery distribution performance.

Abstract

PT. X is a furniture company founded in 2006. The PT. X processes logs into ready-use items such as cabinets, tables, chairs, and other furniture. Currently, In monitoring the production department, the company only rely on reports of production process results/outputs for each work station that are recorded manually every day on paper by admin workers in the field. Moreover, there is no modern visual information tool that can help companies evaluate the performance of the production department in detail. This causes the company difficulty in evaluating the performance of the production department that has been done so far. Therefore, this study aims to design a database and a dashboard to evaluate the performance of the production department. Dashboards are made using software that can be connected via the internet so that the processing and visualization of the data presented is real-time data. In addition, the designed database and dashboard help the company monitor and evaluate the production process in the production department.
