Abstract

Crayfish (Panulirus spp) is one type of Indonesian marine fishery resources that is very potential and has long been caught by fishermen in coral areas to find out the description of fishing gear, methods, and crayfish fishing areas (Panulirus spp) in the waters of Pangkep Regency and to find out the estimated utilization rate of crayfish using the MSY approach in Pangkep Regency. This research has been carried out by taking data in the form of primary data carried out from March 1, 2022 – April 30, 2022 and secondary data in the form of catch production data and fishing efforts (units) obtained from the Marine and Fisheries Service of Pangkep Regency for the 2016-2021 time period. The results of this study showed that the fishing gear used to catch crayfish (Panulirus spp) was a fixed gill net using a canoe boat as a tool. The process of catching crayfish includes setting, soaking and hauling. Coral fishing grounds are in rocky areas with the fishing season occurring from November to January. Based on the results of research using three surplus production models, it was concluded that the most suitable surplus production model for crayfish fisheries in Pangkep Regency is the Gulland model by showing a large (R2) and a small standard deviation. The maximum sustainable catch is 16,783.58 kg/year and the attempted catch is 12,496 units. The Utilization Rate (TP) and Capability Rate (TPU) have exceeded (yJTB) and (fJTB) with overexploited status.

Abstract

Seagrass ecosystems play a vital role in both the ecology and economy of coastal regions. Ecologically, seagrass beds serve as nursery grounds, spawning grounds, and feeding grounds for various aquatic organisms, particularly fish. However, the water conditions in Puntundo Village have suffered environmental degradation due to damage to the seagrass ecosystem and the community’s limited knowledge of seagrass rehabilitation techniques. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to enhance the community’s understanding and skills in rehabilitating seagrass ecosystems using the plug and bamboo frame method in the coastal area of Laikang Village, Takalar Regency. The methods employed include outreach, training on seagrass planting media preparation, and a participatory approach involving the community from the preparation stage through to the implementation of the activity. The training was conducted on a community-based approach, adhering to international standards for seagrass rehabilitation through transplantation techniques. The results of the activity indicate that the partner groups have successfully carried out seagrass rehabilitation using the plug and bamboo frame methods. Monitoring revealed that seagrass on the bamboo frames partially dried out due to sun exposure during the lowest low tide, whereas the plug method provided better protection for the plants, resulting in lower levels of desiccation.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro dan Kecil (UMK) menjadi penompang perekonomian dalam persaingan pasar global. Kota Makassar berupaya untuk terlibat langsung dalam pendirian beberapa kelompok usaha pengolahan hasil perikanan, dengan tujuan agar hasil perikanan yang melimpah dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal oleh masyarakat sehingga dapat membantu perekonomian keluarga serta meningkatkan taraf hidup anggota kelompok tersebut. Salah satu Kelompok Usaha Pengolahan Ikan di Kota Makassar adalah UKM Mega Buana yang terletak di Kelurahan Untia, Kecamatan Biringkanaya. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UKM Mega Buana adalah belum mengetauhi prosedur pengurusan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) berbasis online, Kualitas kemasan dan label produk yang digunakan belum sesuai dengan standar produk perikana , belum memperoleh sertifikat halal. Iptek bagi UKM ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana prosedur pengurusan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) berbasis online, memperbaiki Kualitas kemasan dan label produk serta pengurusan sertifikat halal. Metode Pendekatan dan bentuk kegiatan yang di tawarkan untuk mendukung kegiatan PkM adalah Sosialisasi, Penyuluhan dan praktek secara langsung bagaimana memperoleh NIB secara on line, membut labeling serta ikur serta pengurusan sertifikat halal. Hasil yang telah di capai adalah kelompok UKM Megabuana telah memperoleh Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) yang merupakan salah satu persyaratan untuk pengurusan sertifikat halal, labeling dan cara kemasan produk telah sesuai dengan cara Produksi yang baik serta proses pengurusan sertifkat halal telah di pahami dengan baik
