Abstract

AbstractThis aims of this research is to determine of cadmium in water and sediment Musi River Palembang. Technical method sampling by purposive. Data collected from eight sample point and determination of cadmium contaminant using by AAS methode. The results a averageof cadmium (Cd) is0.0091mg/Lwith a range 0.0021-0.0137mg/L,and lower from threshold of PERDA the South Sumatra No.16of 2005. The average of cadmium (Cd) sediments is.1520mg/kg with range 0.1000-0.1890mg/kg, and lower from threshold of Dutch Quality Standards for Metalsi sediment.Keywords: distribution , cadmium , water , sediment , Musi river

Abstract

Mulya Sari merupakan salah satu desa dengan tipe lahan rawa pasang surut yang memanfaatkan saluran irigasi sebagai sarana untuk mengairi berbagai aktivitas masyarakat seperti kegiatan pertanian, perikanan maupun kegiatan masyarakat rumah tangga. Sampai saat ini, informasi mengenai perairan saluran irigasi di desa Mulyasari masih sangat terbatas sehingga dilakukan penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi fitoplankton melalui studi langsung ke lokasi perairan saluran irigasi desa Mulya Sari. Pengambilan data dan pengukuran dilakukan pada Mei 2016. Dari penelitian yang di lakukan pada saluran irigasi Desa Mulya Sari ditemukan sebanyak 12 jenis, yang teridiri dari 4 jenis dari kelas Cyanophyceae, 4 jenis dari kelas Conjugatophyceae (Zygnematophyceae), dan 4 jenis dari kelas Bacillariophyceae. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa kualitas fisika dan kimia perairan pada saluran irigasi kurang baik untuk pertumbuhan fitoplankton yang merupakan produsen primer pada rantai makan di ekosistem perairan.KATA KUNCI: Fitoplankton, rawa pasang surut, saluran irigasi.

Abstract

The research was conducted at four stations in the Omuta-gawa River, Kyushu, Japan from December 2003 to July 2005. The results of the monthly survey clearly indicated that Hediste japonica has one generation per year. The reproductive period of this species is from late December to late February, and also occurred on H. diaroma, that it has one generation per year. The reproductive period of this species in the Omuta-gawa River is from middle December to late April, when reproductive swarming of mature adults occurs. This reproductive period is much longer than that of H. japonica. Both Hediste species, spawning, fertilization and early development occur in water column with a long pelagic larval life. Keywords: life history, Hediste japonica, H. diadroma, reproductive period, estuary

Abstract

The research about Characteristic of Macrozoobenthos Community With Substrates Type At Warkuk River Districk of Warkuk Ranau Selatan, OKU Selatann Regency, South Sumatera has been conducted from May 2013 to December 2015. This study aims to analysis of characteristic and makrozoobenthos composition in substrat type, analysis about physic and chemistry condition at Warkuk River. Determination of sampling sites were conducted by Random Sampling. The Sample of macrozoobenthos were identified at the Laboratory of Research Institute for Inland Fisheries Mariana, Palembang. From the results obtained, are grouped into 3 classes of macrozoobenthos namely Insecta, Gastropoda and Oligochaeta, which is classified into 9 orders consists of 14 families, 16 spesies. Density ranging from 1155,56 to 1755,56 individuals/m2. Level of diversity are high, ranging from 1,95 to 2,41 and dominance index ranging from 0,31 to 0,40. Family Biotic Index (FBI) ranging from 3,47 to 3,98 with the water quality category of excellent.Key words       : Warkuk River, Macrozoobenthos, Substrat Type

Abstract

The research entitled “ Study on Macrozoobenthos Community in the Waters of the River Air Perikan Pagar Alam Municipality”, was conducted from November 2007 until March 2008. The aims of the research: to know about composition, density, diversity index, dominancy index, and similarity index, which based on the different microhabitat types. Sampling was carried out on November 2007. Five sampling stations were determined by survey method  and the Purposive Sampling method was used at each sampling point to find stony, gravel, sandy and leaf pack area as a different microhabitat substrate. Twenty one orders (Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera, Diptera, Plecoptera, Collembola, Hemiptera, Odonata, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Megaloptera, Hymenoptera, Orthoptera, Decapoda, Plesiopora, Tricladida, Amphipoda, Isopoda, Mesogastropoda, Ctenobranchiata, Eulamellibranchiata, and Rhynchobdellida) which are consisted of 70 families and 151 genera were identified from four types of substrates on each sampling station. According to this research, station 4 has the highest in composition (80 genera), and the lowest one at station 1(33 genera). The highest abundance was 12589 ind./m2  found in the station 5, and the lowest one was in the station 1 approximately 880 ind./m2. For the diversity index value, station 3 was the highest (3.1) and the lowest one was station 5 (1.9). The Dominancy index was found in station 5 at the sandy substrates was  approximately 0,8 index, which dominated by Tubifex sp. There were  differences species composition  on each station. Keywords : Macrozoobenthos, community, the river Air Perikan.

Abstract

Penelitian terhadap kualitas dan kondisi perairan Sungai Rambang Kabupaten Ogan Ilir telah dilakukan selama Juli - November 2012. Sampel air diambil di 5 lokasi dengan 3 titik yang masing-masing diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Penentuan lokasi sampel  berdasarkan metode Purposive Random Sampling. Analisis kualitas air dilakukan secara langsung di lapangan dan di Laboratorium  kimia FMIPA  Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kondisi fisik-kimia Sungai Rambang termasuk dalam kategori baik.  Kisaran suhu cenderung sama dengan suhu udara sekitar perairan yaitu 26-31 ºC, tingkat kecerahan 7-40 %, TSS 32-161 mg/L, TDS 41-278 mg/L, DHL 18-238 µS/cm, kecepatan arus 6-13 cm/detik, DO 5,90-12,35 mg/L, BOD 0,47- 5,42 mg/L, COD ttd- 14,5 mg/L, pH 4,85-6,95, dan lemak 211-289 mg/L. Nilai-nilai parameter ini masih sesuai dengan standar Baku Mutu Air (BMA) perairan sungai tahun 2010. Kualitas fisik kimia perairan berpengaruh terhadap keanekaragaman jenis dan distribusi plankton. Curah hujan mempengaruhi kondisi perairan, dan mempengaruhi jumlah serta jenis plankton dalam perairan tersebut. Pada musim penghujan, indeks keanekaragaman spesies plankton cenderung rendah  dibandingkan pada musim kemarau yaitu 1,22 – 2,26, dengan Indeks keseragaman  antara 0,31- 0,58 yang berarti tidak ada dominansi suatu populasi plankton. Kehadiran dan keanekaragaman populasi plankton merupakan indikasi kualitas lingkungan perairan. Hasil uji parameter  fisik kimia perairan yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kualitas perairan sungai Rambang masih layak untuk dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat, namun tidak disarankan untuk digunakan sebagai sumber air minum.

Abstract

Adsorption of procion red and congo red dyes using microalgae Spirulina sp was conducted. Spirulina sp was obtained by cultivation and production in laboratory scale. Spirulina sp was used as adsorbent for adsorption of dyes. Adsorption process was studied by kinetic and thermodynamic in order to know the adsorption phenomena. The results showed that kinetically congo red is reactive than procion red on Spirulina sp. On the other hand, thermodynamically procion red was stable than congo red on Spirulina sp which was indicated by adsorption capacity, enthalpy, and entropy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Structure of Polychaeta Community, and how the physical and chemical conditions and describe water conditions based on aquatic biota. The research time took place in April – October 2020. The determination of the sampling location was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method, which is based on differences in environmental baseline around. Identification of polychaeta samples was carried out at the Animal Ecology Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The results obtained 22 polychaeta genera consisting of 22 classes namely Sternaspidae, Arenicolidae, Ctenodrilidae, Parergodrilidae, Magelgnidae, Heterospionidae, Capitellidae, Scalibregmidae, Ophellidae, Pontodoridae, Pisionidae, Hesionidae, Eunicidae, Flabelligeridae, Fauveliopsidae, Neriophilidae, Culiridae Cossuridae, Alciopidae, and Nereididae. The species diversity index belongs to the medium category, which ranges from 1.8 to 2.81. The dominance index of polychaeta in the coastal waters of the Banyuasin mangrove is relatively small or no species dominates because all stations have an average dominance index value below 0.5. While the physico-chemical factors of the waters in this river are classified as stable.

Abstract

The analysis relationship of Spirulina sp medium with chemical composition has been conducted. Chemical analysis was performed using X-Ray Fluorescence analysis. Furthermore, potention of Spirulina sp as adsorbent of metal ions was analyzed using FTIR spectroscopy. The results showed that metals such as Zn, Fe, Mn, Ca, Cu, and Mo were mainly metals in Spirulina sp. These metals were not correlated with cultivated medium of Spirulina sp. Analysis of potention Spirulina sp as metal ions adsorbent showed that Spirulina sp has functional groups –C=O and –OH as ligand. Intercation of metal ions Cu(II) and Cr(III) with Spirulina sp indicated that metal ions bond to –C=O functional group.Keywords: Spirulina sp, media composition, chemical content, metal ion, adsorptionAbstrak (Indonesian): Telah dilakukan analisis hubungan komposisi media Spirulina sp dengan kandungan kimia yang dimilikinya. Analisis kandungan kimia dilakukan dengan X-Ray Fluorescence. Selanjutnya potensi Spirulina sp sebagai adsorben dalam mengikat ion-ion logam dianalisis menggunakan spektroskopi FTIR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa logam Zn, Fe, Mn, Ca, Cu, dan Mo merupakan logam utama yang terkandung dalam Spirulina sp. Logam-logam tersebut diasumsikan tidak berasal dari medium tumbuh Spirulina sp. Analisis terhadap potensi Spirulina sp sebagai adsorben logam berat menunjukkan bahwa Spirulina sp memiliki gugus fungsional -C=O dan –OH yang potensial sebagai ligan. Interaksi ion logam Cu(II) dan Cr(III) dengan Spirulina sp menunjukkan bahwa ion logam terikat pada gugus –C=O.Kata kunci: Spirulina sp, komposisi media, kandungan kimia, ion logam, adsorpsi
