Abstract

Tutoring of UKMPPD is a preparation effort in the form of tutoring activities to get more optimal understanding and results for UKMPPD. The purpose of the research was to analyze the differences in the pass rates of UKMPPD-CBT based on attendance levels in the UKMPPD tutoring activities at the Medical Faculty of Riau University. The design of this research was a comparative analytic with a retrospective approach. The result was using Mann Whitney U Test obtained sig (2-tailed) 0.010 (<0.05), it showed there was a significant difference between the results of passing UKMPPD-CBT for the group that took the tutoring and the group that did not take the tutoring. The research also used the Kruskall Wallis analysis test and obtained sig (2-tailed) 0.000 (<0.05), it showed there was a significant difference between the UKMPPD-CBT passing results and the attendance level of first taker students in UKMPPD tutoring activities.

Abstract

Community empowerment activities will be success if it is supported by the ability to build network. An ability to build a network is needed to get the support, that can be done during the interaction in work, such as building a good networking stage. This study aims to describe elderly community health care (ECHC) (posyandu lansia) networking with Rukun Warga (RW) in working area of Melur Pekanbaru Health Center. The study was qualitative descriptive, this study involving six main informants, three ECHC cadres and three RT heads and seven key informants, three heads of ECHC, three heads of RW and one head Puskesmas. Data were collected by in-depth interviews recorded with a voice recorder.The result showed the ECHC Network with RW can help to optimize the implementation of activities to support community empowerment as seen from elderly posyandu networking role with RW.

Abstract

Cardiorespiratory fitness is defined as the maximum capacity of the heart and lungs to inhale and spread oxygen or abbreviated as VO2 Max. The higher the VO2 max, the higher the body's resistance when exercising, so that an athlete is very important to have a high level of VO2 max. This research was a descriptive study with a sample of all Center for Education and Training soccer athletes measured using the 12-minute run method. Based on the research, the highest age was 15 years with a frequency of 9 (37.5%), with the most practice time was those who practiced for <1 year with a frequency of 15 (62.5%), most of the respondents have normal nutritional status with frequency 17 ( 70.8%), and the highest value of cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2 Max) is sufficient with a frequency of 17 athletes (70.8%).

Abstract

The try out of UKMPPD is an effort to measure student’s abilities and  can provide an overview about competence that have been achieved and become one into consideration for students to optimizing their attempt and effort to graduate with good grades. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relation between try out and CBT of UKMPPD results. This type of research is a correlation analytic with cross sectional approach. The data of this study were the test score of the try out and CBT UKMPPD in 2019 which total about 105. The results of this study have a significant relationship with the p value of 0.000 (<0.05) between the try out UKMPPD value and the CBT UKMPPD value. The strength of the correlation obtained is very strong at 0.75 and the direction is positive. This shows that there is a significant relationship between the try out UKMPPD score and the CBT UKMPPD score.

Abstract

Academic achievement is an indication level of learning effort by someone. One of them is grade point average (GPA). Some researches showed correlation between GPA and medical competency test. This medical competency test consists of two parts: multiple choice question computer-based test (CBT) and an objective structured clinical examination (OSCE). This cross sectional study aimed to determine the correlation of GPA with CBT scores for the period of November 2018 - August 2019 on students of Medical Faculty Riau University. The number of samples in this study were 149 students. GPA assessment were obtained from preclinical and clinical data of GPA. The majority GPA results are included in the value of 2.75-3.49 and have a percentage of 94% (preclinical), 96% (clinical) and 98.7% (combined). CBT score <66 were obtained from 12.8% student while 87,2% students get score ≥ 66. Spearman test showed significant correlation between GPA and CBT scores of students.

Abstract

Evaluation of medical education curriculum by the faculties of medicine in the 21st century shows a reduction in timeallocated for learning of anatomy. Reduction of time allocated for anatomy learning session and the limited numberof instructors require the development of teaching media that have high mobility as one of solutions. This study usedan experimental pretest-postest with control group design method to measure the difference in the level of anatomicalknowledge before and after the anatomy practicum between the two groups of students. Some video on mobile Phone(mobile devices) as a media guide to the anatomy practicum was given to one group of students as a study treatment.Results of Mann-Whitney test showed significant differences level of anatomical knowledge between the two groupsof students, the treatment group had a level of anatomical knowledge significantly better than the control group.Video on mobile devices as a media guide to the anatomy practicum creates students’ level of anatomical knowledgeto be better.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning is a student learning method that is active and independent to achieve academic goals by using cognitive learning, self-motivation and behavioral control. One of the factors that can influence self-regulated learning is peer support. This study aims to assess the correlation between the ability of self-regulated learning and peer support in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau, and to determine its effect on academic achievement. Respondents in this study were 147 students of class 2019. The research data consisted of the results of the self-regulated learning ability questionnaire and the peer support questionnaire, transcript of the CBT exam results, the GPA transcripts. The Pearson analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the results of the ability of self-regulated learning and peers support with a p value of 0.00 (<0.05) and a positive correlation of 0.464. The effect of self-regulated learning ability on academic achievement, obtained a p-value of 0.043. There was a significant difference between the results of the CBT with low, medium and high self-regulated learning abilities. There was no difference between the Grade Point Average (GPA) based on the independent learning ability of students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau with a p value of 0.43.

Abstract

Background: Formative assessment is an important assessment in medical education. Formative assessment strengthens the learning process, consolidates learning materials, strengthens learning behavior and improves student performance in learning. Formative assessment must have a place in the student assessment regulatory system to increase educational outcomes. Formative assessment needs to be continuously developed, especially assessment as learning to encourage student participation in monitoring the process and progress of their learning. This study aims to determine whether the application of self-tests and interactive quizzes created by students can improve summative exam results. In particular, it aims to determine the relationship between the results of the self-test developed by students with the results of summative assessment, and to find out whether there are differences in summative assessment results between the group that took the self-test and received the interactive quiz with the group that did not take the self-test and did not get the interactive quiz.Methods: This study was a cross sectional experimental study. Number of samples was 174 people, consisting of 87 intervention groups and 87 control groups. The sample was selected using disproportionate stratified random sampling.Results: The results of the self-test and the summative assessment results showed a significant relationship with sig (2-tailed) of 0.000, the Pearson correlation coefficient 0.563, indicating a strong relationship. The result of the summative assessment, the intervention group was 70.54 significantly higher than that of the control group 64.13. Analysis of differences using the independent T Test sig 0.000.Conclusion: Student self-tests and interactive quizzes have been proven to improve student summative exam results in learning block psychiatry.

Abstract

Background: Computer Based Test (CBT) preparation is important to face the final national exam. During the covid-19 pandemic, it is necessary to modify these preparations online. Assessment can strengthen the learning process, and improve student performance in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the ability to do CBT in participants and whether the online drive learning assessment model was well received.Methods: An analytical study was carried out using mixed methods. The research sample were the participants of the Uji Kompetensi Mahasiswa Program Profesi Dokter (UKMPPD) preparation for May and August 2021 at FK Unri who met the inclusion criteria, totalling 37 people. Data were collected through questionnaires, FGDs, and secondary data. Hypotheses were tested using Friedman rank test, continued with Wilcoxon signed rank testResults: There was a significant difference between the four integration tests carried out ( firedman test p < 0.001 and Wilcoxon test p <0.005 ), where the highest score was on the 4th integration test. The results showed that 68% of participants were in the satisfied category and 25% of participants were in the very satisfied category. Some of the themes obtained were organization, methods, benefits, learning load, and comparison with similar programs outside campus.Conclusion: The online assessment drive learning model has been proven to improve the ability of participants to take the CBT test for the preparation of UKMPPD. Participants' satisfaction was quite good both quantitatively and qualitatively.

Abstract

Penggunaan modul sistem saraf interaktif diharapkan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan memfasilitasi pembelajaran mandiri. Modul interaktif yang digunakan harus diuji kegunaannya. Kegunaan (Usability) dan pengalaman pengguna (User Experience) merupakan penentu utama kualitas suatu produk baik berupa media atau sistem, sekaligus sebagai indikator keberhasilan atau kegagalan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan modul sistem saraf interaktif yang dikembangkan berdasarkan penerimaan pengguna dan peningkatan pengetahuan penggunaan. Desain penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimen one group pretest posttest dengan metode sequential explanatory mixed. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh partisipan yang mengikuti stase komprehensif pada bulan Maret 2022. Pengukuran kuantitatif menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS) dan User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), dan pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan, pengukuran kualitatif dilakukan dengan wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa modul meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta secara bermakna (p value adalah 0,000). Hasil rata-rata nilai pre-test dan post-test masing-masing adalah 68,33 dan 83,06. Hasil pengukuran penerimaan pengguna menggunakan SUS diperoleh nilai 73,125 yang menunjukkan bahwa modul sistem saraf interaktif “Dapat diterima” berdasarkan rentang akseptabilitas, “baik” berdasarkan peringkat kata sifat, dan nilai C berdasarkan Skala Kelas. Hasil pengukuran UEQ diperoleh Overall “Excellent”, Pragmatic Quality “Excellent”, Hedonic Quality “Excellent”. Hasil kualitati menunjukan bahwa modul sistem saraf interaktif memiliki keunggulan dari segi sistem, akses mudah, tampilan menarik dan mudah dipahami. Kekurangannya adalah penggunaan di perangkat mobile masih kurang nyaman jika dibandingkan dengan penggunaan di laptop dan tablet. Studi kami menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modul sistem saraf interaktif ini dapat diterima dengan baik karena dapat memfasilitasi pembelajaran mandiri siswa dan meningkatkan pengetahuan.
