Abstract

Posters are an effective communication medium in conveying information, especially related to public health. This study explores how a poster produced by the South Sumatra Health Service, entitled "Threats of Disease During the Rainy Season," applies elements of visual communication design to convey health messages to the public. The purpose of this research is to understand the effectiveness of using design elements, such as typography, colors, images, layout, and visual composition in health posters. The method used in this research is qualitative analysis which involves in-depth observation of the various elements of the poster design. This analysis aims to identify how each element contributes to visual communication and its impact on people's understanding of health messages. The results showed that posters succeeded in creating strong visual appeal and increasing public understanding of health messages through the effective use of design elements. Thus, health poster design has an important role in achieving the effectiveness of visual communication. In this context, a good understanding of visual communication design principles is essential to create effective and attractive health posters.Keywords: gestalt principles, visual, poster design. AbstrakPoster merupakan media komunikasi yang efektif dalam menyampaikan informasi, terutama terkait kesehatan masyarakat. Studi ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana poster yang diproduksi oleh Dinas Kesehatan Sumatera Selatan, bertajuk "Ancaman Penyakit Saat Musim Hujan," menerapkan elemen-elemen desain komunikasi visual untuk menyampaikan pesan kesehatan kepada masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami efektivitas penggunaan elemen-elemen desain, seperti tipografi, warna, gambar, tata letak, dan komposisi visual dalam poster kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kualitatif yang melibatkan observasi mendalam terhadap berbagai elemen desain poster. Analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana setiap elemen berkontribusi terhadap komunikasi visual dan pengaruhnya terhadap pemahaman masyarakat tentang pesan kesehatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa poster berhasil menciptakan daya tarik visual yang kuat dan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap pesan kesehatan melalui penggunaan efektif elemen-elemen desain. Dengan demikian, desain poster kesehatan memiliki peran penting dalam mencapai efektivitas komunikasi visual. Abstract

Abstrak Permasalahan yang terjadi pada UMKM Mutiara Laut terasi serbuk udang barebai dapat mengatasi  zero hunger didaerah Sungsang Banyuasin-Sumsel. Tujuan pemberdaya masyarakat untuk mengasah soft skill hingga hard skill keduanya mendukung memproses pembuatan terasi serbuk udang Barebai. Metode pelatihan dihadiri sekitar 51 orang yaitu petani udang dan ibu-ibu rumah tangga, cara menggunakan aplikasi e-commerce dan kemasan saset terasi udang serbuk guna meningkatkan penjualan produk lokal. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini dengan FGD, wawancara dan mengisi angket kuisioner pertanyaan dimulai dari teknik produksi, pengemasan saset, strategi pemasaran digital. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan Mitra  Mutiara Laut mengalami peningkatan soft skill dan hard skill keduanya membuktikan peningkatan pengetahuan, penjualan produk setelah pelatihan aplikasi e-commerce mulai dari 65% meningkat ke 90%. Evaluasi pelatihan bahwa  aplikasi e-commerce solusi peningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan mencapai tujuan Zero Hunger memberikan dampak jangka panjang bagi ekonomi marginal dan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: zero hunge; aplikasi; e.commerce; ekonomi lokal; berkelanjutan. Abstract Problems that occur in Mutiara Laut UMKM shrimp paste powder barebai can overcome zero hunger in the Sungsang Banyuasin-South Sumatra area. The purpose of community empowerment is to hone soft skills to hard skills both support the process of making shrimp paste powder Barebai. The training method was attended by around 51 people, namely shrimp farmers and housewives, how to use e-commerce applications and shrimp paste powder sachet packaging to increase sales of local products. The method used in this activity with FGD, interviews and filling out questionnaires starting from production techniques, sachet packaging, digital marketing strategies. The results of the training showed that Mitra Mutiara Laut experienced an increase in soft skills and hard skills, both of which proved an increase in knowledge, product sales after e-commerce application training starting from 65% increased to 90%. The training evaluation that the e-commerce application solution to improve community welfare and achieve the goal of Zero Hunger has a long-term impact on the marginal and sustainable economy. Keywords: zero hunger; application; e.commerce; local economy; sustainable.

Abstract

Desa keluru memiliki hutan adat Temedak yang dikelola oleh masyarakat. Salah satu potensi hutan tersebut adalah tumbuhan bambu. Sejauh ini bambu tersebut hanya dimanfatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai kebutuhan untuk bertani, nelayan dan kebutuhan rumah tangga lainnya. Oleh karenanya sangat disayangkan bambu tersebut tidak dikembangkan kemanfaatannya menjadi aneka produk kerajinan, agar potensi tersebut dapat menjadi peluang bagi masyarakat Desa Keluru sebagai lapangan pekerjaan yang mandiri dan kreatif. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah memberi wawasan ketermpilan, baik mengenai teknik, maupun kemandirian dalam produksi, promosi dan pemasaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, demonstrasi, bimbingan dan evaluasi. Sebagai tahap awal, hasil pelatihan tersebut sudah cukup memuaskan, yang mana sebahagian besar produk yang dihasilkan sudah layak dipasarkan. Potensi kerajinan di Desa Keluru ini perlu ditumbuh kembangkan untuk menuju industri kreatif, sehingga dapat menjadi salah satu produk unggulan daerah di Kerinci, khususnya di Desa Keluru. Harapan ini tentunya sangat beralasan karena mengingat kekayaan SDA dan SDM yang mumpuni, sehingga sangat memungkinkan sekali kerajinan bambu ini dikembangkan di Desa keluru.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan dan seminar seni rupa dengan tema Strategi Pengembangan Kreativitas Perupa di Era Pandemi COVID-19 merupakan respon Dewan Kesenian Palembang (DKP), dalam hal ini adalah Komite Seni Rupa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sebagai respon terhadap kehidupan masyarakat yang selama ini terdampak oleh Pandemi COVID-19 . Selama pandemi COVID-19 hampir segala sendi kehidupan ekonomi, agama, politik, budaya, dan bahkan kesenian terkena dampak oleh wabah tersebut. Oleh sebab itu, dengan kembalinya aktifitas masyarakat dalam konteks “New Normal” atau adaptasi terhadap kebiasaan baru memberikan kesempatan bagi perupa untuk berdiskusi, silaturahmi dan gelar karya untuk memulai kembali aktifitas kreatif dalam membangun iklim berkesenian di Kota Palembang. Adapun yang menjadi sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para perupa muda. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk berdiskusi tentang strategi pengembangan kreativitas perupa, khususnya perupa muda di Kota Palembang kini dan ke depannya. Adapun kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah Webinar plus, demonstrasi karya, dan gelar karya. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini diharapkan tidak hanya untuk menumbuhkan iklim berkesenian, namun juga mampu mengangkat nilai budaya lokal dan ekonomi kreatif bagi perupa, khususnya di Kota Palembang.

Abstract

Abstract: Corn is a well-known staple food in Indonesia, and its high consumption results in a lot of natural waste, such as corn husks and corn cobs. According to the Infopublic.id website, South Sumatra is listed as the fifth largest corn producer in Indonesia, with a corn farming area of 112,000 hectares and a total corn production of 707,546 tons. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be concluded that the people of Palembang do not know that corn plant waste can be reused other than being used as animal feed. In the process of overcoming these problems, the author uses the design thinking method through the 5W+1H method (what, why, who, where, why, how) for data collection and data analysis so as to produce a model that can be applied to actual scenario ideas. The main media used is a tutorial book on the utilization of corn husk waste, which includes information on the utilization of corn husk waste and tutorials on processing corn husk waste, news media such as posters, peeling of husks, and supporting media such as t-shirts, glasses, stickers, mini notebooks, hanging clothing, handicraft supply containers, decorative flowers, decorative lights, and mascots, which.

Abstract

Abstract: This research based on data from the Palembang City HealthOffice, 27,475 men and 34,000 women affected by diabetes in 2021. This data shows an increase in diabetes so that it can be formulated in this design is how efforts to reduce of diabetes by consuming Brotowali, especially for adolescents in the city of Palembang. Consuming and processing Brotowali is designed interactive books with interesting illustrations and interactives and teaches reading while playing. This study uses the AISAS design method for data collection and data analysis through the 5W + 2H method so as to produce an idea that can be applied at the test stage for adolescents in Palembang and with questionnaire and interview techniques. Respondents in this study were 101 people. The works created are categorized into three media, the main media interactive books, media issues, posters, brochures, xbanners, motion graphics and supporting media, t-shirts, tumblers, stickers, key chains, pencil boxes, wall clocks, totebags, mascots, standing pouches, packaging. This design uses Brotowali illustrations which have characteristic thorny stems and love-shaped leaves, so that teenagers in the city of Palembang are more interested in consuming and processing Brotowali.

Abstract

Abstract : Stunting is a condition in children with failure to thrive or growth delays due to chronic malnutrition. Currently there is still a lack of understanding and anticipation for prospective parents related to stunting. Therefore, the author wants to provide an educational information medium that can inform and invite that stunting will have a very bad impact on children. in order to be able to provide awareness to prospective parents and be able to prepare for the birth of healthy and normal babies in South Sumatra. It is hoped that the purpose of this design is to serve as an educational and informational medium that can provide knowledge to all prospective parents as well as an information medium for all prospective parents to increase awareness of the dangers of stunting from an early age during pregnancy and also to raise awareness about stunting for prospective parents and specifically for pregnant mothers.

Abstract

Abstract : Sedentary lifestyle or a lifestyle that lacks physical activity refers to the habit of individuals who tend to spend time in a sitting or lying position with little or no physical activity. This can be caused by various factors, including jobs that require a lot of time in front of a computer, attention-grabbing digital entertainment, and reliance on automated tools to carry out daily tasks. If a sedentary lifestyle continues, it can increase the risk of developing chronic diseases, such as: Obesity, Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension, Stroke, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Osteoporosis, anxiety and other mental health disorders, and even the risk of premature death. The problem solving process in this campaign uses the design thought method which consists of five stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. Data collection was carried out in several stages, including observation, interviews and documentation. The data was then processed and analyzed so that a solution was found, namely a social campaign to increase awareness among teenagers about the importance of physical activity and the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle. Through a program called GERAFIK (Physical Activity Movement) which aims to increase awareness about the importance of physical activity among teenagers in the city of Palembang.

Abstract

Abstract : Online gambling is a gambling game through electronic media with internet access as an intermediary. Online gambling has many negative impacts that are detrimental to society, especially among teenagers, because adolescence is a period of rapid growth and development both physically, psychologically and intellectually. The typical nature of teenagers is that they have a great sense of curiosity, like adventure and challenges and tend to be brave enough to take risks in their actions without prior careful consideration. Therefore, the author wants to provide an educational information medium that can provide information to the public, especially teenagers, that there are many dangers involved in online gambling and can also provide awareness to parents and teaching staff so they can supervise their students when using the internet. It is hoped that the aim of this design is as an educational and information medium that can provide messages about the dangers of online gambling to the public, especially teenagers, parents and teaching staff.

Abstract: Plastic is widely used as packaging because it has many advantages and general properties such as being resistant to chemicals, insulating against heat and electricity, light and flexible. At this time, people in the city of Palembang still find it difficult to limit the use of plastic bags.
