Abstract

Without neglecting other competencies, pedagogical competence and professional competence are absolute competencies possessed by an educator (teacher). This study aims to determine the efforts made by PPKn teachers in developing pedagogic competence and professional competence during the new normal covid-19. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques using interview and documentation techniques. The results showed that the efforts made by PPKn Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri teachers in Mataram City in developing pedagogic competencies and professional competencies were: (1) Attending education and training; (2) Participate in MGMP activities; (3) Participate in online workshops or seminars; (4) Seek and follow the development of information through electronic media, and; (5) Reading books or scientific journals.

Abstract

NTB Zero Waste program is one of the superior programs of the NTB government. The research purposes are to find out how to implement the program in the Mataram citizen, the supporting factors, and inhibiting factors of this zero-waste program. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, in which the author only describes the problem as it is or by the reality that occurs in the object of research. The research techniques used in this study were interview, observation, documentation, and questionnaire or survey. The data analysis technique by Milles and Huberman was used in this research. The technique has three stages; data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that many people have heard and know about the word zero waste, but a only few of them know that the NTB government has a zero-waste program. The citizen feels that the government still lack effort in socializing this program thus many people still do not know. The supporting factors in the implementation of this zero waste program are government support, budget funds, and staff (HR). While the inhibiting factors are public awareness and infrastructure.

Abstract

The Sasak tribe has various cultures, one of which is the Beguru culture. Beguru culture is an education system based on local wisdom that practices the way of learning for the Sasak people. This study aims to determine the Beguru process, the values contained in the Beguru culture as Civic Culture and the community's efforts to maintain the existence of Beguru culture. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of ethnographic research. Data collection techniques using interview and observation techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are five stages in the Beguru culture including: 1) The Giving Seserahan (andang-andang) stage, 2) The Ijab Kabul Stage, 3) the ascetic and bathing stage, 4) the Report and Practice Exam Stage, and the last 5) Gratitude Stage (Roah Rasul). There are three values contained in the Beguru culture as a civic culture, namely: 1) Religious Values, 2) Courtesy Values and 3) Educational Values. And there are two efforts made by the community in maintaining the existence of Beguru culture, namely: 1) Introducing Beguru culture to their children and grandchildren and 2) Implementing Beguru culture continuously.
