Abstract

This research examines the audiovisual political advertisements of the National Mandate Party (PAN), specifically the jingle versions broadcasted through television and online platforms such as YouTube, in facing the Indonesia electoral contest 2024. The author focuses on the political message content and gimmicks that PAN, as the message producer, presents to the audience as message consumers in these advertisements. The aim of this study is to elucidate how the audience, particularly first-time voters in the 2024 elections, perceive the content of PAN's political advertisements. The author employs a qualitative approach and utilizes Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding model of reception analysis to comprehend how the informants receive and interpret these advertisements. The research results yield three main interpretations of informants regarding the PAN's audiovisual political advertisement; as something unique, as a political advertisement full of gimmicks lacking ideas, and as a pragmatic political display. Additionally, the research found that several informants were distributed among three audience positions; dominant hegemonic, negotiation, and opposition. The differences in these positions are influenced by their backgrounds in knowledge, education, and life experiences.

Abstract

Vocational education, especially in Vocational High Schools (SMK), has an important role in preparing competent and skilled human resources (HR) to meet the needs of the world of work. In facing the challenges of evolving technology, the block system is applied as a learning innovation to align education with industry needs. This system allows students to focus on mastering productive competencies through structured learning, such as Field Work Practices (PKL) and productive subjects. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with observation and interviews to evaluate the implementation of the block system at SMK Negeri 4 Serang City. The results showed that the block system has great potential in improving students' confidence and competence, but obstacles such as limited facilities, schedules, and teacher training are still the main challenges. Efforts to overcome these obstacles include cooperation between schools, parents and industry, as well as increasing teacher capacity through training. With planned implementation and optimal support from all parties, the block system can contribute significantly to producing graduates who are competent, disciplined and ready to compete in the job market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi bahaya dan melakukan penilaian risiko di PT. EDS Manufacturing Indonesia (Automotive Wire), Balaraja, dengan menggunakan metode HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) sebagai langkah pencegahan kecelakaan kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan cara observasi dan wawancara untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya di lingkungan kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa area maintenance memiliki beberapa potensi bahaya, seperti tumpahan pelumas dan gangguan mesin, yang dapat meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan kerja. Pengendalian risiko dilakukan dengan mengklasifikasikan tingkat risiko dan menerapkan tindakan preventif, seperti penggunaan alat pelindung diri dan perbaikan teknis. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode HIRARC terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja dan meningkatkan keselamatan karyawan di PT. EDS Manufaktur Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Kelistrikan Kendaraan Ringan (PKKR) kelas XI TKR di SMK Negeri 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, pretest, posttest, dan soal esai berbasis studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa: rata-rata skor penilaian meningkat dari 2,14 menjadi 3,45, dan skor posttest meningkat dari 4,00 menjadi 8,90. Penerapan PBL efektif dalam melatih siswa untuk menganalisis masalah, menemukan solusi, serta meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa PBL merupakan strategi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran vokasional
