Abstract

Limbah ban bekas merupakan permasalahan yang serius dan berdampak pada pencemaran lingkungan bila dibiarkan begitu saja terlebih dilakukan pembakaran. Karakteristik ban bekas yang tidak mudah terurai, diperlukan kreatifitas yang mampu merubah nilai jual dalam bentuk peningkatan ekonomi kreatif bagi masyarakat. Sehingga diperlukan alternative berupa upcycling yaitu cara mengatasi limbah secara cepat dan mudah menjadi produk. Melalui kegiatan PPM limbah ban bekas dapat diberdayagunakan oleh sekelompok pemuda karang taruna dalam peningkatan ekonomi, pelengkapan property rumah tangga dan kebersamaan bermasyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini diantarannya (1) menciptakan aktivitas warga yang mampu meningkatkan perkonomian; (2) memanfaatkan limbah ban bekas menjadi industry kerajinan rumah tangga dalam upanya membangun ekonomi kreatif pada masyarakat, dan; (3) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan kelompok mitra peduli pada lingkungan. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilaksanakan meliputi: (1) ceramah, tanya jawab, dan diskusi melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan pengarahan; (2) simulasi dan praktik melalui kegiatan pelatihan, dan pendampingan; serta (3) observasi melalui kegiatan monitoring kemajuan. Hasil pengabdian tahap sosialisasi dan pengarahan dengan rerata 4,4 pada kategori sangat baik dalam memberikan wawasan dan pemahaman, jumlah peserta yang bertanya sebanyak 8 (24) orang antausias bertanya dan hasil diskusi diperoleh tahapan pembuatan dan rancangan desain, sedangkan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan diikuti dan dilakukan seluruh pemuda dengan baik, sampai tahap produksi. Setelah dilakukan analisis produk berdasarkan aspek produksi masih menggunakan tenaga manual dengan jumlah 10/minggu dan aspek kualitas dalam kategori rendah. Hal ini diperlukan penguatan pada bidang pengemasan dan pemasaran. Secara keseluruhan pemanfaatan limbah ban bekas memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat khususnya pemuda.Kata kunci: limbah ban bekas, upcycling, pemberdayaan pemuda, ekonomi kreatif

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the relevance of practical subjects (MKB-Mata Kuliah Berkarya) concentrated on automotive engine in Educational Study Program in Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta with industrial need of automotive services and vocational high school. This research includes evaluation research using descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Conclusion of this research is, the appropriate level between MKB concentrated on automotive engineering of PTM JPTK FKIP UNS with industrial need of automotive services is stated ?very appropriate/ very high? (81,27 % is appropriate and 18,73 % is not appropriate), and the appropriate level between MKB concentrated on automotive automotive engineering of PTM JPTK FKIP UNS with Vocational High School  is stated ?very appropriate/ very high? (83,34 % is appropriate and 15,66 % is not appropriate).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar minat masuk perguruan tinggi bagi siswa kelas XII program keahlian Teknik Mesin dan Teknik Otomotif di SMK Serang masuk tahun 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling sejumlah 165 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket  (kuesioner). Uji validitas instrument dilakukan dengan construct validity melalui experts judgment dengan metode factor analysis. Uji reliabititas menggunakan Alpha. Besarnya minat diuji dengan statistic regresi ganda dengan bantuan SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahawa minat masuk perguruan tinggi di Serang dengan rerata persentase 71.76%. Minat tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor dalam diri sendiri, faktor lingkungan keluarga, dan faktor lingkungan sekolah dengan koefisien regresi masing-masing sebesar 0.199; 0.190; dan 0.090. Faktor diri sendiri dan lingkungan keluarga secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi minat masuk perguruan tinggi sebesar 37,6%. Kata kunci: Minat, Perguruan Tinggi, Diri Sendiri, Sekolah, dan Keluarga

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu (PLTB) skala mikro sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi dan menganalisis kelayakan produk media pembelajaran PLTB skala mikro dari hasil validasi ahli dan pengguna. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model product and tool research bagian tool development and use. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta) yang mengontrak mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi. Pengambilan data terdiri dari 3 ahli materi, 3 ahli media dan 13 pengguna (mahasiswa) dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah : (1) Pengembangan produk berupa PLTB skala mikro menghasilkan karakteristik dengan ukuran 100 x 100 x 160 cm (P x L x T) yang bisa dibongkar pasang, output daya yang dihasilkan 14,73 volt, beban (lampu LED) yang menyala 10 watt, dan menggunakan 3 propeler yang terbuat dari material kayu pinus, dan (2) Analisis kelayakan oleh validasi ahli media, ahli materi dan pengguna dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi.

Abstract

Abstracts. The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) encourages competition in the fields of human, economic, technological and industrial resources. MEA has the potential to open up opportunities and more challenging expectations and force to work hard to be able to take roles and opportunities in the competition. The purpose of this study are 1) developing a vocational school-based economic collaboration model, 2) knowing the feasibility of a vocational school-based economic collaboration model. This research is a research and development study using the 4D model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data comes from literature and questionnaire studies. Research data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the model of economic collaboration based on vocational schools requires collaboration and collaboration between institutions and the community to create sustainable and mutually beneficial synergy. Vocational school-based economic collaboration models produce collaborative models that involve industry, retail, MSMEs, farmer groups, and start-ups. Expert assessment of the collaboration model falls into the "very appropriate" category. The implementation of collaboration needs to consider several aspects, namely regional characteristics, local government regulations, school readiness, community readiness, and local industry characteristics.

Abstract

This research aims for 1). Performance of induction furnace used to heat test objects in the form of iron, stainless steel and aluminum 2). Efficiency of induction furnace in heating test objects in the form of iron, staineless and aluminum. The research method used in this study is purely experimental where data is obtained from the heating of test objects in the form of iron, aluminum and stainless steel. 1). At the time of the induction furnace performance test was conducted 13 experiments, out of 13 tests got the highest temperature of 650o C on the thirteenth experiment and failed on the second, fifth and ninth trials where MOSFET was damaged. 2). Induction furnace in heating iron weighing 5 grams produces a calorific 1302.57 joules and produces 49.16 Watts of power. Induction furnace in heating aluminum weighing 5 grams produces a 5.22 joule calorific and produces 0.029 Watts of power. Induction furnace in heating stainless steel weighing 5 grams produces a calorific 1440.52 joules and produces 42.66 Watts of power. so the induction furnace is more efficient when it is heating test objects in the form of iron and the induction furnace cannot heat test objects that do not have magnetic properties.

Abstract

Penyelenggaraan pendidikan kejuruan selayaknya memperhatikan kearifan lokal masing-masing daerah. Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui pendidikan yang tepat dan solutif untuk menjawab tantangan persaingan global yang saat ini menjadi pusat perhatian, yaitu pemberlakuan Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA). Adanya penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang sesuai dengan potensi daerah akan memicu pertumbuhan perekonomian masyarakat lokal, sehingga setiap daerah mampu bersaing sesuai dengan karakteristik dan keunikan daerah masing-masing. Beberapa hal penting yang selayaknya menjadi pertimbangan dalam pengembangan pendidikan kejuruan di setiap daerah yaitu karakteristik daerah, regulasi pemerintah daerah, kesadaran masyarakat, kesiapan sekolah, dan karakteristik industri setempat. Kelima aspek tersebut sangat penting untuk dijadikan dasar pengembangan pendidikan kejuruan agar menghasilkan penyelenggaraan pendidikan kejuruan berbasis kearifan lokal yang mampu mencetak lulusan yang kompeten dan kompetitif.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the process of developing a learning media simulator for electro-pneumatic systems based on dual design, (2) knowing the effectiveness of learning media in the form of electro-pneumatic system simulators based on dual design. This research is a research and development adapted from the 4D development model, namely, Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects of this study were students of Mechanical Engineering Education in Semester IV and V, with 30 students taking pneumatic hydraulic courses. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and interviews with research instruments in the form of interview guidelines and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed with a descriptive quantitative method. The results show that (1) the results of the development of learning media for electro-pneumatic system simulators based on Dual Design as supporting media for electro-pneumatic practices produce three main components, namely the working system in the pneumatic electro system, wiring diagrams, and electrical circuits, (2) the feasibility results of expert validation media is 84% (Very Good), expert material validation is 92% (Very Good), and user validation is 86% (Very Good). Therefore, the learning media for electro-pneumatic system simulator is feasible as a learning media in pneumatic hydraulic courses.

Abstract

The electrical topic is considered a material that is difficult to understand because electricity is a substance that is not seen but can be felt. The objectives of this study were 1.) to develop digital textbooks for basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning; 2.) to analyze the feasibility of digital textbook products for basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning. This research is development research using the 4D model, namely define, design, develop, disseminate. This study involved language, material, and media experts in validating research products. The research subjects were students of technical engineering vocational education in one of the public universities in Indonesia who took Basic Electrical and Electronics courses, namely 25 students. The data collection technique used interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the research results that have been done, it has resulted in several conclusions, namely; 1.) Development of digital textbooks on basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning is carried out by referring to the 4D model development steps, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate; 2.) The appropriateness of digital textbooks according to the media expert's assessment of getting a mean score of 3.61 is declared very good, the material expert's assessment is 3.52, which is declared very good, and the user response gets an assessment of 3.51, which is declared very good Theoretically developed digital textbooks are able to increase student interest and motivation to learn basic electrical materials in an easy way.

Abstract

Risk analysis aims to prevent the incompatibility of a system used in the testing process including the Boiler system. At the Labuan 2 Steam Power Plant (PLTU) 2, the Boiler component was declared "very often" to have a pipe leak. Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a method used to analyze the risk of failure. This method is represented by calculating the value of RPN (Risk Priority Number) obtained from the results of the multiplication of S (severty), O (occurrence), and D (detection). The highest analysis results are shown at 480 (in the steam drum component in the form of abnormal steam and water level failure). The cause is human error. Next three levels below are (1) Economizer component, which is 360 causes of combustion side ash erosion, material lifetime, and economizer tube fibration; (2) super heater tube and re-heater tube components which are 320 due to Corrosion, Overheat Flyash erosion, Sub blower erosion, Welding error; and (3) Walltube which is 320 causes of overheating and sub blower erosion. The recommendation for the analysis of FMEA testing to predict mantenance is done by applying remaining life assessment after 8,000 hours / operational.
