Abstract

The 2010 Manila Amendment Standard of Training Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) regulation is to create and develop a system that can support the fitness of duty officers on duty. The officer's fitness is determined by the value of the heart rate at the start of watch duty. For that we need a system that can measure the heart rate quickly and precisely. This system must work effectively and accurately inform each officer's measurements. So this research was carried out with the aim of building an effective heart rate measurement. This system is supported by the Arduino Nano Microcontroller and an alarm system that provides information on the fitness of the officers. The method used is Research and Development which refers to ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The result of this research is a heart rate measuring product that works very effectively. The required input consists of a grove-ear clip heart rate sensor as a heart rate detector in the form of a pulse signal and a vibrating DC motor with a buzzer as an alarm that generates a shock for the user of the device. The indications for this tool are using Bradycardia, Normal and Tachycardia heart conditions. So that this research is very much needed in supporting the testing of the fitness of tasks in carrying out the machine guard service properly and guaranteed.

Abstract

Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Semarang telah menerapkan sistem pembelajaran daring sejak pemerintah menetapkan kebijakan mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19 di Negara ini. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran daring saat ini masih mengalami beberapa kendala, antara lain : Pemahaman taruna terkait materi yang diberikan dosen masih kurang, efektifitas pembelajaran masih kurang efektif, Faktor lingkungan yang kurang mendukung, kurangnya motivasi belajar taruna terhadap pembelajaran daring. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk menganalisa pengaruh Pembelajaran Daring dan Faktor Lingkungan terhadap Motivasi Belajar Taruna PIP Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Taruna Taruni Semester 3 dan 8 dengan jumlah 492. Dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin maka jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 233 Taruna. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan kuesioner melalui Google form. Teknik analisis data menggunakan program SPSS versi 21. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pengolahan data angket disimpulkan bahwa Pembelajaran Daring berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Motivasi Belajar Taruna, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Ada beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi pembelajaran daring untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar taruna, yaitu faktor teknis, proses pembelajaran dan dukungan kampus PIP Semarang dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran daring. Faktor Lingkungan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Motivasi Belajar Taruna, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh pada lingkungan keluarga yang dapat meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Taruna, antara lain : Cara orang tua mendidik, relasi antar anggota keluarga, suasana rumah, keadaan ekonomi keluarga, pengertian orang tua dan latar belakang kebudayaan.

Abstract

Electronics is one of the courses in the Engineering study program. In this electronics course, cadets or students are given knowledge about electronic components and how to assemble electronic circuits. For this reason, in studying electronics, lecturers not only provide theoretical material, but also must be able to guide cadets in carrying out practicum in the laboratory. ASH Analog Experimentar is a learning media that can be used for practical learning of Electronics in the Laboratory. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the ASH Analog Experimenter as an Electronic Learning Media for PIP Semarang Cadets. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires to cadets. The results of the respondents' responses will be analyzed and concluded. Secondary data obtained from library studies, observation and documentation. From the results of data analysis, there are several things that can be concluded: For the Level of suitability or relevance, 49% stated that it was very suitable, 51% said it was suitable, For the appearance or performance of the ASH Analog Experimenter media, 53% said it was very good, 41% said it was good, 5% said they were in doubtfully, 1% said it was not good, for the level of security or safety of the tool, 50% stated that it was very safe, 46% said it was safe, 4% said it was doubtfully. For the level of efficiency, 47% stated that they were very efficient, 52% said they were efficient, 1% said they were unsure, for the level of understanding, 35% stated that they understood very well, 59% said they understood, 6% said they doubtfully. Thus, in general, ASH Analog Experimenter is very effectively used for electronic learning media for PIP Semarang Cadets.

Abstract

Ultraviolet water sterilizer is a long cylindrical device used for the sterilization of water into drinkable water. Ultraviolet water sterilizer has two main parts: an adapter and UV tubes. The adapter serves to drain ration electricity in accordance with the voltage and current required by ultraviolet water sterilizer. Tubes UV is containing lamps germicides where light is equipment major unruk make the water drinkable and the water will flow along the ultraviolet rays, so that the water flowing in the tube is passed through the sterilization process with ultraviolet rays so that the water unfit for consumption. The problems that the authors take in this study are the factors that affect the declining quality of sterilization, the impact of what happens when the quality of sterilization decreased, and what efforts made to keep the quality of sterilization is not decreased. The method used is the method of fault tree analysis, a method to find the root of the problem by using a fault tree and simple logic gates to help determine the basic problem. Fault tree analysis method consists of a top event, intermediate event, and basic event where all three events are interrelated to form the fault tree that can be seen cause and effect. Data collected through observation, interviews, and literature directly to the subject related to the factors, the impact, as well as the efforts of the decline in the sterilization process to the sterilizer in order to improve the quality of drinking water. The cause of the decline to the sterilizer sterilization process in order to improve the quality of drinking water in MT. Dragonaria that dirty filters, dirty water tubes, and the dirty germicidal lamp or berdampaknya resulting in less fresh water, complaint against the company, as well as the ship operational cost is reduced. Therefore made some efforts to improve the quality of the results of sterilization including cleaning filters, cleaning water tubes, and also clean the germicidal lamp, as well as auxiliary engine checks periodically so that the quality of sterilization can be increased.

Abstract

STCW (Standart of Training Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers) is a basicrequirement of training, certification and watch keeping in International level that has beenratified officially, as the Manila Amendment. Based on the results of the research, from theproblems mentioned are how the recruitment process, the obstacles faced from the influence ofSTCW Amendment Manila 2010 as well as efforts to overcome the obstacles encountered.Because it is necessary to handle so that the recruitment process in the company can runsmoothly. This research uses descriptive qualitative method that describes the existing phenomena,in detail about the recruitment process at PT. BSM Crew Service Center Indonesia andexplained the obstacles and efforts undertaken to overcome these obstacles. Data are collectedby observation, including description, and document analysis results. Recruitments process conducted by the company is in accordance with establishedprocedures. However, there are still many problems during recruitment process in PT BSMCrew Service Center Indonesia that is applicant or seafarers certificate which is not inaccordance with STCW Amendment Manila 2010, the quality of applicants who do not meet thecriteria of the company and applicants who have met and passed the selection stage when thereis a required position was already on board on vessel. From the existing problems, efforts aremade, among which the company can conduct training for seafarers who have been declared tobe accepted by the company and will on-board the vessel while also giving time to ex crewseafarers who sign off from the vessel and new applicants to update the certificate and thecompany can expand the vacancy information to be expected that comes to apply more andmore.

Abstract

Pertamina Shipping Jakarta has training or training namely PMTC (PertaminaMarine Training Center) is a place to train employees to be able to improve the quality andquality of work, it has not gone well so it affects the quality of the crew's performance. Thepurpose of this study is to find out whether the ship management training program at PT.Pertamina Shipping Jakarta can reach the target optimally or not and to know the impact ofthe ship management training program on the quality of the work of the crew at PT.Pertamina Shipping Jakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative method by describing in detail theimplementation of ship management training in order to improve the quality of work of thecrew at PT. Pertamina Shipping Jakarta. Data collection is done by interview, observation,literature study and documentation conducted by the author. The results of the study show that ship management training program at PT. PertaminaShipping Jakarta has not reached its target optimally because there are still seafarers whohave been on board the vessels that have not participated in the training, PT. PertaminaShipping Jakarta lacks staff training staff, the pre test system has not been held before beinggiven training. The impact of the ship management training program on the quality of thework of the crew as follows: ship management training on International Safety ManagementCode (ISM Code) makes the ship's crew understand more about international safetymanagement standards in the operation of ships as well as efforts to prevent or controlenvironmental pollution. carrying out Tank Cleaning, ship management training made thenewly joined crew members aware of the work system and procedures when they laterworked on the ship.

Abstract

Bongkar muat adalah salah satu aktivitas penting di pelabuhan. Bahkan, ada banyakkegiatan pelabuhan seperti bongkar muat, cargodoring, penerimaan atau pengiriman.Pelabuhan Semen Indonesia Tuban adalah spesialis dalam bongkar muat semen. Masalahyang dihadapi oleh Pelabuhan Semen Indonesia Tuban adalah tidak optimalnya penggunaanperalatan keselamatan. Pengamatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanamenggunakan peralatan keselamatan bagi karyawan bongkar muat, dampak kurang optimalpenggunaan peralatan keselamatan dan upaya Pelabuhan Semen Indonesia untukmengoptimalkan penggunaan peralatan keselamatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk menggambarkan objek.Metode ini digunakan untuk mendapatkan semua deskripsi jelas tentang menggunakanperalatan keselamatan bagi karyawan bongkar muat di Pelabuhan Semen Indonesia Tuban.Untuk menentukan prioritas masalah dalam penyelesaiannya, penulis menggunakan metodependekatan seperti fishbone analysis dan fault tree analysis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan peralatan keselamatan bagi karyawanbongkar muat dalam rangka mendukung proses pemuatan bongkar muat di PelabuhanSemen Indonesia Tuban tidak optimal. Masih ditemukan karyawan bongkar muat tidakmemakai peralatan keselamatan. Efek yang kurang optimal menggunakan peralatankeselamatan itu berarti tidak terjamin kesehatan dan keselamatan karyawan, meningkatkanrisiko kecelakaan kerja, kehilangan penghasilan karyawan, mengubah jadwal bongkar muatdi pelabuhan, perlahan-lahan pada proses penggantian karyawan baru, dan menghambatproses produksi semen di pelabuhan. Upaya yang harus dilakukan adalah melakukankoordinasi dan komunikasi terkait pekerjaan karyawan dalam bongkar muat, mengingatperaturan dalam menggunakan peralatan keselamatan, melakukan praktik tentang peralatankesehatan dan keselamatan, dan mengadakan rapat keselamatan untuk karyawan bongkarmuat.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Refueling activities (bunkers) is a filling activity fuel is done routinely before the ship is ready to sail, but in tandem Over time the bunker activity also brought new problems such as the oil incident spill that occurs at the Koarmada pier. Potential problems that occur causing the oil spill to be very high. The objectives of this study are 1). For find out about bunker surveillance activities at the Koarmada pier, 2). Knowing the factors that cause oil spills and 3). The efforts made by PT. Pertamina Trans Continental Surabaya branch to reduce the occurrence of oil spills. The research method used is 1). Descriptive qualitative by describing in detail the implementation of bunker supervision at the Koarmada pier. Collection Data is done by interview, observation, literature study and documentation in the form of photographs of the implementation of bunker supervision. From the results of the study it can be seen that 1). Supervision activities at the Koarmada pier are still not optimal. 2). Factors which are causing oil spills include education factors, knowledge factors, and factors equipment that is not feasible. Based on the research results, PT. Pertamina Trans Continental does 3). Efforts to reduce the occurrence of oil spills with more pay attention to the educational background in recruiting bunker workers, giving training and outreach to the supervisory team, giving strict sanctions to bunker workers if the bunker is implemented not according to procedures, update bunker equipment that is not feasible to use, do a thorough supervision, and do good communication and coordination and cooperation in supervision bunker activity

Abstract

Optimized CFS warehouse for stripping stuffing activities of LCL container goods, however, because PT. Teluk Lamong Terminal wants to reduce the Dwelling Time figure so that the stripping stuffing activity of LCL containers is not carried out in the CFS warehouse. Then, because there were no activities in the CFS warehouse, PT. Teluk Lamong Terminal utilizes the CFS Warehouse for container physical inspection activities (behandle). This study aims to determine the CFS warehouse facilities that can support the behandle process, determine the factors that affect the behandle process and determine the efforts that can be made to overcome the limitations of the CFS warehouse facilities during the behandle process.Researchers use qualitative descriptive methods to describe and describe the object under study. Researchers are involved in the process of searching for data by directly observing and analyzing the facts and characteristics of the object and subject under study. Sources of data used in this study are primary and secondary data. In addition, this study also uses data collection methods by means of observation, interviews, documentation, literature study. Researchers use direct and indirect observation. The results of the study concluded that the CFS warehouse facility could be used to support the behandle process at PT. Lamong Bay Terminal Surabaya. However, the physical inspection was not fully carried out in the warehouse area because the warehouse building design was not suitable for inspection activities so that the behandle was carried out outside the warehouse area and then loaded the cargo into the warehouse using a forklift. Factors that hinder behandle activities include Internal & External Factors. Efforts that can be made to optimize behandle activities are by renovating warehouses, preparing supporting facilities for inspection of goods, and preparing competent human resources.

Abstract

Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic (PIP Semarang) is a university that provides vocational education in the field of shipping. The high voltage laboratory is a means of supporting the practice of electrical equipment on board a ship based on a high voltage of 6.6 Kv. Based on the results of the researchers' preliminary observations and observations, it is known that the use of the high voltage laboratory during the 2019 school year is very minimal, namely 25.5 hours for 1 year. The purpose of this study is to see the use of the high voltage laboratory at PIP Semarang, what security is used in the use of the high voltage laboratory at PIP Semarang, and the efforts made to overcome the problems used in the use of the high voltage laboratory at PIP Semarang. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method. Data obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires to cadets. In addition, interviews were also conducted with Engineering Study Program lecturers. Secondary data obtained from literature study, observation and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be denied that the use of the high voltage laboratory at PIP Semarang is still not optimal and effective. This can be proven by the results of the questionnaire recapitulation showing that the use of the high voltage laboratory is 32% very effective, 4% effective, 60% less effective, and 4% ineffective.
