Abstract

Oxygen is a basic human need that cannot be delayed. In patients who experience hypoxia management that must be done immediately is oxygen therapy. Oxygen tubes tend to be dry so they can cause irritation along the respiratory tract. Efforts to minimize these problems are by using a humidifier, but the use of a humidifier can be a place for bacterial growth. The study aimed to find out which is more effective more effective between the use of reverse osmosis water compared to the use of aquabidest in minimizing germ growth in the humidifier. This type of research is research (true experiment) with the design of posttest control group design. To find out the effectiveness of the two groups, the Mann-Whitney test was conducted. There was a significant difference between the bacteria  colonies at the 8th, 16th and hourly observations, 24 in the aquabidest group with a p value of 0.018 and the Reverse osmosis water group with a p value of 0.007. There was no significant difference in bacterial colonies in the aquabidest group with Reverse Osmosis at the 8th, 16th and 24th hours observations with p values respectively 1.00, 1.00 and 0.74. There was no difference in effectiveness between the use of aquabidest compared to the use of Reverse Osmosis Water. Aquabidest and / or Reverse Osmosis Water can be used in a humidifier by using aquabidest and reverse osmosis water in a humidifier on oxygen therapy.

Abstract

A true experimental research with pre-post test control group design was carried out using 36 adult experimental male rats (strain wistar Rattus norvegicus) ,aged 10 weeks with weight of 200-250 grams. Before being given the treatment, the rats blood were taken out around 1,5 cc to measure the MCV value and the erythrocyte morphology. The rats were divided into 6 groups. The first group was the control group and the other five were the treatment group which were treated with different concentration of alcohol continuously for 45 days. After being treated, the rats blood were taken as same as the investigator did previously to examine the MCV value and the erythrocyte morphology, included the removal of right femur to assess morphology and bone marrow normoblast diameter. Results of the study showed that  there was increasing  on  MCV value after the treatment that was proportional to the  alcohol  concentration given (p 0.000<0.05), likewise the changing of erythrocyte morphology was in term of acanthocytes  target cells, and stomatocyt . However, these research findings showed that there were no significant different in each group resulting  of the treatment (p 0.817 > 0.05). Yet,there was an inclination of normoblast diameter. Finally, it can be concluded that consuming oral alcohol continuously increases the MCV value, changing of erythrocyte morphology and bone marrow normoblast.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus with chronic hyperglycemia can cause a hypoxic environment in the renal interstitium and can cause kidney disorders (diabetic nephropathy), this can lead to decreased kidney function and the production of erythropoietin produced by peritubular fibroblasts is disrupted, and hemoglobin is not formed optimally and occurs anemia. Thei purposei ofi thisi studyi wasi toi determinei hemoglobini levelsi in patients withi typei 2i diabetesi mellitusi in RSUD. K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro Semarang. This is a descriptive quantitative study, the data comes from the medical records of patients with typei 2i diabetesi mellitusi withi complicationsi ofi diabetici nephropathyi at RSUD K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro Semarang as many as 40 samples with non-probability samplingi itechnique. The results showed that there were 20 men who had decreased hemoglobin levels and 1 person who had normal hemoglobin levels. Meanwhile, in women, 17 people had decreased hemoglobin levels and 2 people had normal hemoglobin levels. Based on the age category, the most were the early elderly as many as 15 people and the least in the late teens and early adults each as many as 2 people. Meanwhile, based on the average level of anemia, more experienced moderate levels of anemia. Hemoglobin levels in patients with type. 2i. diabetesi. mellitusi. withi. complicationsi. ofi. diabetici. nephropathyi. at RSUD K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro Semarang were 40 samples, on average they had low hemoglobin levels.

Abstract

Hemoglobin or Hb is a protein found in red blood cells. This protein is what makes blood red. In normal levels, hemoglobin has many functions for the body, so normal levels of hemoglobin need to be maintained. In addition to giving color, hemoglobin also functions to help red blood cells get their natural shape, which is round with a flatter center. With this shape, red blood cells can easily move and flow in the blood vessels. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 91 of 2015 the normal level of hemoglobin before blood donation is 12.5 - 17.0 gr/dL%. When a person's hemoglobin condition is higher or lower than the normal amount, this can be a sign of a health problem.
