Abstract

The UM University has morphological variations and different surface characteristics, resulting in differences in air temperature between one location and another. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of air temperature, map isotherms and determine the relationship between environmental conditions and air temperature on the UM campus. This research was conducted at 12.00, 13.00, and 14.00 WIB with 32 points. The method used is descriptive analysis of quantitative approaches with data processing using SPSS software. This study obtained results including: (1) There are temperature differences at several points in the UM campus area due to the lack of dense vegetation which is inversely proportional to the density of buildings; (2) There are several hot centers in the UM campus environment with the hottest point at the Cakrawala Stadium, due to the absence of vegetation; and (3) The difference in air temperature in the UM campus environment is due to the lack of even distribution of vegetation and the high density of buildings. Even distribution of vegetation needs to be done at UM to reduce the increase in air temperature. Wilayah UM memiliki variasi morfologi dan karakteristik permukaan yang berbeda-beda, sehingga menimbulkan perbedaan suhu udara antara satu lokasi dengan lokasi lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna mengetahui persebaran suhu udara, dapat memetakan isoterm dan mengetahui hubungan kondisi lingkungan dengan suhu udara di kampus UM. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada pukul 12.00, 13.00, dan 14.00 WIB dengan 32 titik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengolahan data menggunakan software SPSS. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil di antaranya: (1) Terdapat perbedaan suhu pada beberapa titik di kawasan kampus UM dikarenakan kurang rapatnya vegetasi yang berbanding terbalik dengan rapatnya bangunan; (2) Terdapat beberapa pusat panas di lingkungan kampus UM dengan titik terpanas di Stadion Cakrawala, disebabkan karena tidak adanya vegetasi; dan (3) Perbedaan suhu udara di lingkungan kampus UM disebabkan karena kurangnya pemerataan vegetasi dan kerapatan gedung yang tergolong tinggi. Pemerataan vegetasi perlu dilakukan di UM untuk mengurangi peningkatan suhu udara.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi  pembelajaran Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain   rancangan  penelitian yang  digunakan   adalah   pretest-postest  Control Group Design. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya yang berjumlah 30 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 dan VIII2 yang masing-masing berjumlah 15 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan angket motivasi yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji t (independent sample t-test) dan persentase. Hasil analisis data hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilai thitung ttabel  (thitung  = 2,573 ttabel = 1,701), sehingga Ha diterima. Berdasarkan  hasil analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan strategi  pembelajaran Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Selanjutnya berdasarkan hasil analisis angket motivasi siswa diperoleh 64% siswa sangat setuju, 27,33% siswa setuju, 8% siswa kurang setuju, dan 0,67% siswa sangat tidak setuju terhadap strategi pembelajaran Start with a Question (LSQ) dalam proses pembelajaran materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa adanya respon positif siswa terhadap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran Start with a Question (LSQ)  pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan  di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya yang mengakibatkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa.Kata Kunci:  Learning Start with A Question (LSQ), Hasil Belajar, Motivasi Belajar

Abstract

Visiting interest comes as a form of fulfilling information needs in library. When users visit the library, they have an interest in obtaining a diverse information and ease of information access. Complete and reliable information is a tool in improving the library. High visitor interest can be an indicator of the library's successful development. This research aims to determine relationship between information access and public visiting the Indonesian National Library. The method used in this research is the survey method with a questionnaire as the research instrument on a sample size (n) of 510. The results showed that the information factors, people factors including gender and occupation, and the place factors have a significant association relationship with the public's interest in visiting the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. The information factor got the highest result reaching 23.92%. Users factors including gender and occupation showed that 77.64% were women and 58.82% of visitors were students. The place factor obtained results with the majority of visitors agreeing that access to the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia is easy to reach as much as 96.66%. It can be said that the relationship between access to information and public interest in visiting the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia has an accepted hypothesis (H1). The conclusion shows that people have information access behavior of the Information Ground model with its three factors, namely, information, people, place.

Abstract

Penyakit demam berdarah dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu penyakit yang menjadi masalah di masyarakat. Nyamuk Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albopictus merupakan nyamuk yang berperan utama sebagai vektor penyakit demam berdarah dengue (DBD). Telah banyak upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah tingginya kasus DBD, baik secara biologi, kimia, fisika/mekanik serta usaha-usaha lain oleh manusia. Program pemerintah yang dicanangkan yaitu 4M plus, diantaranya menggunakan predator ikan pemakan jentik nyamuk. Pemanfaatan ikan sebagai predator alami larva nyamuk adalah salah satu cara pengendalian secara biologi yang mudah untuk dilakukan oleh masyarakat. Metode pengendalaian secara biologis ini dapat mengurangi kepadatan larva nyamuk serta tidak menimbulkan masalah bagi kesehatan lingkungan. Tujuan dari pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada mitra (siswa di SDN 2 Metro Timur) terkait tentang nyamuk Aedes sp dan pencegahan DBD dengan 4M plus sehingga pencegahan DBD dapat dilakukan secara dini.                Solusi yang ditawarkan kepada mitra pada kegiatan ini yaitu memberi pengetahuan tentang morfologi telur hingga dewasa nyamuk Aedes sp, habitat, perilaku harian nyamuk. Selain itu pengenalan terhadap predator/ pemakan jentik nyamuk Aedes sp. Ikan predator yang digunakan yaitu ikan cupang (Betta sp). Metode pada kegiatan ini adalah dengan presentasi dan diskusi tanya jawab. Dibagikan brosur tentang pengendalian nyamuk Aedes sp, serta pembagian ikan cupang.  Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat memberikan tambahan pengetahuan kepada mitra (siswa SDN 2 Metro Timur) tentang DBD dan ikan predator jentik nyamuk sebagai salah satu upaya alternatif pencegahan terhadap kasus DBD di lingkungan sekolahan.

Abstract

Murraya paniculata L., Jack (Kemuning) is a traditional medicinal plant that has great potential in treating various diseases but is still not scientifically researched. The urgency of this research lies in the need to develop safe and effective kemuning-based traditional medicine through a deeper understanding of its phytochemical content and pharmacological activity. This study aims to explore and identify active compounds in Murraya paniculata L., as well as evaluate their pharmacological potential. This plant is widely used as an anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, antihyperlipidemic, antinociceptive, anticarcinogenic, antiaging, antitumor, analgesic activity, treating asthma, melanogenesis and tyrosinase activity. It is hoped that this research can make a significant contribution to the development of traditional medicine based on Indonesian natural resources and increase the use of kemuning in modern medicine.

Abstract

 Types of organic waste produced by households can be processed and reused if people know how to manage it. However, the lack of public awareness and knowledge regarding the use and management of waste has resulted in the waste simply piling up and being thrown away, which can damage the environment. In fact, organic waste can be used as fertilizer, animal feed or ecoenzyme. This research aims to determine the content and benefits of using eco enzymes in various areas of life. The research method used is descriptive research method. The data collection technique uses the library study method/literature review obtained from relevant research journals, articles and books. Ecoenzyme fluid contains several types of biological and chemical compounds, namely: Lipase enzymes, Trypsin, Amylase, Acetic acid, Alcohol, Propionic acid, Alkaloids, Saponins, Flavonoids, Phenol, Zn, Mn, Fe, Ca, Mg, S, B, P , K, N, NO3, CO3, O3. Ecoenzyme fluids are useful in the economic, agricultural, environmental, health, household, food and automotive industries.

Abstract

Biology learning in class VIII2 SMP Negeri 11 Banda Aceh shows unsatisfactory results from academic achievement, especially the concept of motion in plants. This is indicated by the average value of student learning completeness which is still below the KKM, which is 70 and thus required to take remedial (repeat). This study aims to determine the effect of animation media and learning styles on learning outcomes in class VIII2 students of SMP Negeri 11 Banda Aceh on the concept of motion in plants. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with the type of experimental research. The population is class VIII2 students, totaling 33 students. Collecting data using a questionnaire and post-test. The research data were analyzed using the t-test formula. The results of the study obtained the value of tcount ttable or 6.99 1.69. In accordance with the test criteria, the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between animation media and learning styles on student learning outcomes in class VIII2 SMP Negeri 11 Banda Aceh the concept of motion in plants.Keywords: Animation Media, Learning Style, Movement in Plants, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan judul Sosialisasi Penggunaan DaunPisang Kering (Musa paradisiaca) terhadap Perkembangan Burayak Ikan Cupang Hias di Desa Teu Dayah, Kecamatan Kuta Malaka, Kabupaten Aceh Besar bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kreatifitas masyarakat dalam dunia wirausaha, menambah pendapatan masyarakat dalam  memenuhi kebutuhannya, menciptakan prospek pasar baru ikan cupang  hias dan produk   ikan cupang   hias yang berkualitas sehingga dapat memperoleh omset yang menjanjikan bagi masyarakat. Abstract

Melia azedarach L. (neem fruit) is a traditional plant with diverse bioactive constituents, yet its phytochemical profile and pharmacological potential remain underexplored. This study aimed to screen bioactive compounds and evaluate the antioxidant activity of methanol extract from M. azedarach fruit, while further performing computational exploration on its antidiabetic potential. M. azedarach fruits were macerated in methanol and analyzed through phytochemical screening, total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), and antioxidant activity (DPPH assay). GC-MS was used to identify chemical constituents. Molecular docking was performed using a blind docking approach in CBDock2 against five protein targets, which included DPP-4, PTPN1, α-amylase, NrfA, and AKR1B1. Protocol validation was ensured by successful re-docking of co-crystallized ligands (RMSD < 2.0 Å). The extract was observed to contain terpenoids, steroids, flavonoids, and phenolics, with high TPC (479.8 mg GAE/g) and TFC (52.7 mg QE/g). Antioxidant activity was moderate (IC50 = 102.27 µg/mL). GC-MS identified 14 compounds, including cucurbitacins, ursolic acid derivatives, α-amyrin, taraxasterol, and ergostane-type sterols. Docking revealed moderate affinities (–5.0 to –6.5 kcal·mol-1) for most compounds. The cucurbitacin bound α-amylase (–13.6 kcal·mol-1) and NrfA (–8.5 kcal·mol-1), and taraxasterol exhibited broad-spectrum activity across all targets (–7.1 to –9.2 kcal·mol-1). M. azedarach fruit demonstrates moderate antioxidant activity and contains diverse phytochemicals with multitarget interactions relevant to glucose regulation. Strong binding to DPP-4, PTPN1, α-amylase, and AKR1B1 suggests potential antidiabetic properties through inhibition of carbohydrate digestion, enhancement of insulin signaling, and prevention of diabetic complications.

Abstract

Bukit Merdeka Village, located in Samboja Subdistrict, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, holds great potential in developing processed products based on pineapple. However, product marketing remains a major challenge, particularly in terms of utilizing digital technology. This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of the local women’s group (Ibu PKK) in processing pineapple peels into kombucha beverages and marketing the products through digital platforms. A total of 15 participants, all members of the Ibu PKK group, actively participated in the activity. The method used was direct practice and small group discussions. The results showed a significant improvement for understanding of how to use digital platforms as promotional tools. In addition, the participants showed high enthusiasm for developing home-based businesses by utilizing organic waste such as pineapple peels. This program demonstrates the potential of combining local resource utilization with digital marketing skills to empower community-based entrepreneurship.
