Abstract

Research was conducted on Desember 2013 until february 2014 at rubber factory (RICKY) in Meranti Pandak district Rumbai-Pekanbaru City on Riau Province. Analysis waste water parameters was done in laboratory Ekologi and Management faculty marine environment, fisheries and merine science Pekanbaru-Riau Province. Method used in research to experiment without design combined with experiment of media biofilter plant plastic bottle with water to lower value of TSS and Ammonia to be testing treated effluent to fish. One reactor to fitoremidiasi with one reactor plants and without plants as controls fitoremidiasi. TSS and decrease Effectiveness of ammonia in waste water rubber anaerobic biofilter process mediated combination with phytoremediation plastic bottles 89,90% during 92,82% study ranged from average effectiveness is 91,18%. Where, average TSS levels at outlet during observation 144.13 mg/1. While, average for ammonia effectiveness decline reached 88.23%, with average ammonia concentration in outlet of 2.06 mg/1. Thus parameters for TSS and Ammonia has been completed with environment minister’s decision number Kep 51/MENLH/10/1995 effluent quality standard for rubber industry is to ammonia content and latexs is a total wasted of 15 mg/1 and for waste rubber dry form by 5 mg/1. While support for parameters such as Ph, DO, and temperature have appropriate quality standard recommended for rubber industry, and able to support fish life during test observations.Keywords : Total Suspended Solid, Ammonia, waste water, biofilter, plastic bottle, Water hyacinth

Abstract

The peat water has low pH and it can be improved by adding bentonite and lime. The use of lime, however, produced relatively large amount of sediment. To understand the effectiveness of combined bentonite and lime in osmofilter paper package to increase the pH, a study has been conducted on May- July 2016. Combination of 1,7 g bentonite and 1,7 g lime were wrapped using osmofilter paper and were immersed in 2 L of different pH (2,3,4,5 and 6) peat water. After being kept for 45 minutes, the water quality was checked. Results shown that the package of bentonite and lime was effective to improve the pH. In all treatments, the pH increased, ranged from 7 to 9, but the treated water has relatively high colour and organic matter solid.   The treated water was use to rear Cyprinus carpio seedlings. By the 4th day, the survival rate of these fish was 90%. Based  on data obtained, it can be concluded that the use of combined bentonite, lime and osmofilter paper is effective to improve the quality of peat water, but is may not effective in reducing the colour and organic matter. Keyword : Peat Water, Osmofilter paper, Bentonit and Lime

Abstract

This research examines the influence of the administration service quality toward students’ satisfaction in Islamic Junior High School 1 Model Palembang. This research includes the total population of 283 students of grade VIII. Therefore, based on Slovin formula, there are 74 students involved as the research samples. The data is analysed using quantitative method namely doubled linear regression. Meanwhile, the testing stages include classical assumption (Multicolinearity, heteroskedatisidas, and normality testing). In classical assumption test, multicolinearity free regression model appears while heteroskedatisidas does not occur. It is mormally distributed. Therefore, based on the classical assumption, the doubled linear regression can be utilized in this research. The result shows that the regression is Y = 9.961 + (-0.065) X1+ 0.152 X2 + 0.074 X3+ 0.459 X4 + 0.000 X5, and Fcount = 4,283 sig 0,002 < 0,05. Therefore it can be understood that the quality of the administration service which includes physical evidence, assurance, emphaty, excellence, and responsiveness clearly influences students’ satisfaction in which the emphaty (X4) serves as the highest contributing factors with t count= 0,410 sig 0,00 < 0,05.

Abstract

This research was aimed at revealing the effect of using Team Assisted Individualization cooperative learning model on improvement mathematics problem solving ability in class VIII of MTsN Kota Padang. This was a Quasi Experimental research which used quantitative and descriptive approach. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of MTsN Kota Padang. By using Random Sampling technique, class VIII3 of MTsN Lubuk Buaya Kota Padang was chosen as the experimental class and class VIII7 of MTsN Koto Tangah Kota Padang was chosen as the control class. In collecting the data, observation sheet, pre-test, questionnaire and pretest-posttest were used. Based on the result of the research, some conclusions were drawn. First, mathematics problem solving ability fluctuated. Second, mathematics problem solving ability of the students taught by using Team Assisted Individualization cooperative learning model was higher than that of students taught by using conventional model. Third, mathematics problem solving of the students having high and low previous ability taught by using Team Assisted Individualization cooperative learning model was higher than that of students having high and low previous ability taught by using conventional model

Abstract

Mathematics is a branch of science that has a vital role in the development of science and technology. Mathematical literacy is a non-negotiable ability needed today. However, mathematics remains complicated for students to understand; many students make mistakes in solving math problems, including the SLETV material. A student should follow Polya's steps (understanding the problem, planning a solution, implementing a predetermined plan, and reviewing the results that have been obtained). This study aimed to determine the mistakes made by students and the factors causing Grade IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Lembah Seulawah to make mistakes in solving SLETV problems. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 6 Grade IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Lembah Seulawah, Aceh Indonesia. Data collection was conducted in paper-based tests and interviews. The instruments were paper-based tests and interviews. The data were analyzed using the procedures proposed by Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study indicates that Grade IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Lembah Seulawah generally have not been able to understand and plan the solution of the problems given correctly in solving SLETV problems. The cause of errors is that students are not used to systematically working on mathematical problems, and some students misunderstand the concepts of elimination and substitution.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir dan respon balikan mahasiswa terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran kalkulus integral. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester genap 2012/2013 program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Unsyiah. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes dan lembar respon balikan. Teknik analisis data tes dilakukan dengan cara mencermati hasil kerja, menginterpreasi dan menyimpulkan. Respon balikan mahasiswa dideskripsikan hasil tulisan subjek tentang materi dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian diperoleh proses berpikir mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal integral adalah proses berpikir analitik dan sintesis. Respon balikan mahasiswa adalah umum pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah terlaksana dengan baik.Kata Kunci: Proses Berpikir, Respon Balikan, Pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral

Abstract

The research was conducted from January until August 2015 at palm oil industry of PT. PN V Sei. Galuh Tapung Districk Kampar Regency. This study aims to improve the effectiveness of biofilter zeolite with 3 units of the anaerobic process - 2 units aerobic process in reducing the organic pollutants contained in palm oil industry wastewater as a mediafor aquaculture fish. During the study, sampling performed 5 times with intervals of taking for 2 weeks. Based on the results of the study, the biofilter reactor can reduce organic pollutants in wastewater viewed by a decrease in TSS value of 750 mg / L (inlet) to 26.7 mg / L (outlet) with effectiveness of 96.44% (already meet the standard quality standard) and the ammonia concentration of 138.3 mg / L (inlet) to 24.83 mg / L (outlet) with 82.05% effectiveness (not in accordance with the quality standards) with the survival percentage of 50% carp, tilapia 60% and catfish 80%.Key word : Biofilter, TSS, Ammonia, zeolit, palm oil industry wastewater, aquaculture fish.

Abstract

The waste water originated from rubber factory contain high concentrationof organic matter. Direct disposal of these waste to waters may negative impactsto aquatic organisms. To reduce the risk, the waste should be treatment. Theseresearch conducted from Desember 2013 – February 2014. The study aims tounderstand the effectiveness of biofilter and aquatic plants reactors to reduceorganic pollutants in the waste water originated from the rubber factory and thenused these water as fish life media. The water quality measured were BOD5 andCOD, beside it measured survival rate of fishes in the aquarium. Sampling forwater quality and fish were conducted 3 times, once/ two weeks. The resultsshown effectiveness BOD5 range 82,6% – 87,8% and COD range 80,8% – 84,4%.But in the control (without biofilter and aquatic plants shown low effectiveness ofBOD5 and COD were 50,1 – 55,1% and 38,2 – 44,5% respectively. Survival rateof Pangasius hypopthalmus (80%), Oreochromis niloticus (76,67%), andCyprinus carpio (70%) and in the control, survival rate of Pangasiushypopthalmus (56,67%), Oreochromis niloticus (36,67%), and Cyprinus carpio(23,33%). Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the biofilter andaquatic plant was effective to reduce BOD and COD content in the rubber factorywaste water.Keywords: Rubber waste water, Biofilter, Aquatic plants

Abstract

Keterampilan peserta didik dalam mengkomunikasikan ide-ide matematikanya dengan berbagai cara belum memenuhi harapan. Penting bagi guru mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, karena hal tersebut dapat menjadi tantangan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, baik dengan memperbaiki gaya belajar, menumbuhkan suasana belajar, maupun menggunakan model pembelajaran yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan faktorfaktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Wih Pesam yang terletak di Kabupaten Bener Meriah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekata kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi lisan siswa adalah teman belajar, kepercayaan diri, malu, gugup, suasana pembelajaran berkelompok, waktu dilaksanakannya pembelajaran, dan gender. Sedangkan faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi tulis siswa adalah tidak mampu menuliskan informasi yang diketahui dan ditanya pada soal, kurang fokus dalam belajar sehingga tidak mengerti materi yang diajarkan, tingkat kesulitan soal, dam ketenangan dalam mengerjakan soal.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan komunikasi matematis, faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Factors Affecting the Communication ofMathematical Ability for Junior High School StudentsThe skill of students in communicating their mathematical ideas in various ways have not met the expectations. It is important for teachers to know the factors that affect students’ mathematical communication abilities, because this can be a challenge for teachers to improve students’ mathematical communication skills either by improving learning styles, fostering a learning or using appropriate learning models. The purpose of this research is to describe the factors that influence students’ mathematical communication abilities. The subjects of this study consisted of 4 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Wih Pesam located in Bener Meriah Regency. Data Collection techniques used are observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using a qualitative approach. The results showed that the factors that influenced students’ oral communication skills were study partners, self-confidence, shyness, nervousness, group learning atmosphere, time of study and gender. While the factors that affect students’ written communication skills are not being able to write down information that is known and asked about questions, lack of focus on learning, so they do not understand the material being taught, the level of difficulty of the questions and calmness in working on the questions.Keywords: Mathematical communication skills, factors influenced communication skills

Abstract

 This study uses discriminant analysis which aims to determine a model or formula that determines consumer groups who are interested in powdered, coffee bean, or instant coffee variants from several influencing variables, including coffee caffeine content, sugar content contained in coffee, coffee roasting level, quality coffee, coffee price, consumer age, consumer health, time of day consumer activity, and durability. The subjects of this research were the consumers of Nek Ali's Coffee with a total of 82 samples. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using discriminant analysis of three groups, namely the consumer group who are interested in coffee powder, coffee beans, and instant coffee.
