Abstract

Perkembangan jaman yang sangat cepat mendorong manusia untuk meningkatkan kemampuan khususnya dalam dalam penguasaan teknologi. Teknologi yang terus berkembang dan cakupannya sangat luas salah satunya adalah teknologi pengelasan. Siswa SMK merupakan generasi yang diharapkan dapat menguasai berbagai macam ketrampilan setelah lulus dari pendidikan yang ditempuhnya. SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Malang sebagai mitra dalam kegiatan ini juga memiliki permasalahan dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menguasai teknologi pengelasan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah belum adanya pelathan tentang ketrampilan las dan minimnya peralatan yang dimiliki pihak sekolah. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut kegiatan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pelatihan dan peralatan bagi siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Malang agar dapat meningkatkan ketrampilan las yang mereka miliki. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada siswa secara langsung, baik secara teori maupun praktek. Pada beberapa tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan para peserta dari siswa SMK 3 Malang terlihat sangat antusias. Hal ini dilihat dari keinginan mereka untuk mengikuti kegiatan ini sangat tinggi dan tetap menjaga protokoler kesehatan yang dianjurkan. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diawali dengan pengenalan beberapa peralatan ygn dibutuhkan dalam pengelasan dan juga beberapa strategi agar hasil pengelasan yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini didapatkan bahwa beberapa siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan ini ketrampilan mengelas mereka semakin meningkat. Hasil ini nampak terlhat pada hasil lasan yang mereka buat sudah sesuai dengan persyaratan pengelasan yang harus dicapai. Tentu kegiatan ini akan semakin baik jika para siswa juga tetap melath ketrampilan las setelah kegiatan ini selesai. Dengan harapan kemampuan dan ketrampilan siswa dalam teknik pengelasan semakin baik dan harapan agar lulusan dari SMK semakin kompetitif dan siap kerja serta mampu berwirausaha dalam berbagai aspek jenis pekerjaan sesuai dengan minat mereka masing-masing.

Abstract

Materials are growing day by day, one of the most widely used materials is composite material, a composite is a material formed from a mixture of two or more forming materials through an inhomogeneous mixture, where the mechanical properties of each forming material are different. The focus of this research is to utilize abaca fiber to be used as a composite material using a polyester matrix. The manufacturing method used is the vacuum infusion method. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact strength of composites with chopped and intact banana fiber filler with a weight fraction of 10%, 20% and 30%. The highest impact value in this study obtained an average impact value of 0.523 Joule/mm2 at 30% weight fraction variation with chopped fiber, while the lowest value got an average impact value of 0.071 Joule/mm2 at 30% weight fraction with intact fiber. This shows that the 2 variations in weight and shape of the fiber with abaca fiber filler based on this research affect the value of impact strength.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the variation of the depth of cut (DOC) on the surface roughness and serration gram (DOS) in the 6061 aluminum turning process using medium speed. In this study the infeed depths used were 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2 mm by testing the surface roughness using a roughness tester, and testing the teeth gram (DOS) using the SEM (Scaning Electron Microscope) tester. The value of surface roughness (surface roughness) in relation to the depth of cut (DOC) in 6061 aluminum material using a conventional lathe has increased, while the value of the dentition gram (DOS) to the depth of cut (DOC) in the aluminum 6061 lathe process at a depth of 0.5 mm figure shows the percentage of DOS 31.8 percent then continues to decrease with increasing depth of ingestion on the lathe. Based on the research results, the increase in the surface roughness value was due to heat generation which resulted in damage to the chisel resulting in high surface roughness. In addition, variations in the depth of cut gave a negative effect by showing a decrease in the number of serrations in grams, which made it difficult to break and would result in eye damage. chisel

Abstract

MSMEs Dedy's Babies Wear, in its production process, still uses conventional sewing machines, and it causes the production of baby hats and shoes to be limited. Within a month, Dedy's Babies Wear MSMEs could only produce 2400 sets of baby hats and shoes with the help of 5 workers. A group of baby hats and shoes sells for IDR 10,000. In addition, the product marketing process is only limited to local coverages. As a result, market demand is unstable every month. This community service program aims to overcome the partners' main problems (the low production capacity and limited marketing process). This program is carried out with the stages of observation, training, and assistance in sewing with overlocking machines, as well as digital product marketing assistance through the e-commerce platform. From the evaluation, the production of MSMEs capacity has doubled. In addition, customer orders through e-commerce have become a potential source of income for partners.

Abstract

Partners in this service are MSME Duck Livestock, located in Junrejo, Batu. This partner currently uses conventional methods in carrying out the process of mixing animal feed. Therefore, the purpose of this service is to introduce and implement mechanization in the animal feed mixing process through the use of animal feed mixing machines. The animal feed mixer machine used has a capacity of 10 kg. The motor power used is 0.25 Horsepower (HP). The dimensions of this machine reach 740mm x 310mm x 550mm. This machine is equipped with four straight mixers used in mixing animal feed. Through the evaluation that has been carried out, the use of this animal feed mixing machine is proven to provide significant benefits. Mixing animal feed ingredients, which previously required quite a long time, has been shortened to only 3 minutes for every 10 kg of feed ingredients. This increase in efficiency is significant for MSME Duck Animal Feed. With the animal feed mixing machine, our partners can increase productivity and efficiency in their business. In addition, this machine also helps improve the consistency and quality of mixing feed, thereby positively impacting the growth and health of the ducks they care for. Overall, using animal feed mixing machines in this service has a significant positive impact on MSMEs of Duck Animal Feed. By increasing the productivity, efficiency, and quality of mixing animal feed, it is hoped that our partners can sustainably develop their businesses and increase their income.

Abstract

Demand for bio-pellet as alternative energy has widely increased. It occurs as people are aware of energy-saving for today and future living. Therefore, the increment in bio-pellet quality has also been a concern. The bio-pellet quality can be influenced by the materials (biomass) and its treatments. One of the treatments for the bagasse bio-pellet is drying. It is conducted to lessen its moisture before it is produced by the ring die pellet mill. The influence of drying temperature on bagasse bio-pellet quality is the focus of this experiment. The result shows that the different drying temperature for bagasse bio-pellet gives a different quality. However, those qualities comply with the requirement of the Indonesian National Standard for biomass energy.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran Fisika untuk SMP seringkali menemui permasalahan yang cukup banyak. Banyak langkah yang bisa ditempuh guna memperoleh pembelajaran. Mata pelajaran IPA menjadi mata pelajaran yang wajib ada pada setiap pembelajaran disekolah. Dalam proses pembelajaran IPA diperlukan proses penalaran yang kompleks dikarenakan IPA melibatkan permasalahan yang kompleks dan kontekstual. Pembelajaran IPA merupakan kumpulan hukum, teori, prinsip, aturan, rumus atau persamaan yang terbangun sesuai dengan konsep kajiannya. Pemahaman konsep IPA merupakan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami sebuah makna secara ilmiah, baik secara konsep maupun secara teori untuk mampu memecahkan masalah. Pembelajaran IPA tidak cukup dengan mengingat atau menghafal, tetapi diperlukan pemahaman terhadap setiap materi. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra adalah kemampuan siswa untuk memahami materi IPA dalam bidang katrol dan jembatan miring yang masih minim. Hal ini disebabkan daya imajinasi siswa yang terbatas dan tidak dapat berkembang hanya dengan melihat peragaan melalui tayangan atau video saja. Sehingga solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah dengan pembuatan alat peraga yang diharapkan dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam pemahaman dalam materia yang dimaksudkan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan agar siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang dapat lebih mudah dalam memahami pembelajaran Fisika dengan topik sistem katrol. Metode yang direncanakan dalam program ini adalah metode tanya jawab, metode diskusi, dan metode demonstrasi. Target luaran yang akan dicapai adalah dengan adanya alat peraga yang diberikan kepada pihak mitra dan artikel di jurnal pengabdian yang memuat hasi dari kegiatan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

The welding process aims at joining materials, especially metals or thermoplastic for certain purposes. It melts the materials in the joining process. In some cases, such material is difficult to be joined with the welding process. Therefore, an appropriate flux is needed in this process. The effect of adding borax in the welding process of OAW is the focus of this research. The research was conducted using the experimental method of adding 1 gram, 3 grams, and 5 grams of borax to the brass and ST42 steel welding process. Borax was added to aid the adhesion process between brass and steel as both have different properties. This research results in the highest elongation value in 1 gram of borax addition; the elongation is 3.9935 cm. Meanwhile, adding 1 gram of borax also affects the welding joints’ ultimate tensile strength (UTS). It results in the highest UTS value of 9.961779 kN/mm2 among the other weight variations of borax addition. It indicates that the borax addition with proper weight in the welding process affects the joints. Moreover, the borax addition in the welding process influences the elongation values, ultimate tensile strength, and modulus of elasticity of the welding joints.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada peran permainan edukatif sebagai salah satu metode yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan anak usia dini di TK ABA 25 Malang, yang dipicu oleh pentingnya stimulasi holistik yang perlu diberikan kepada anak pada masa emas perkembangan. Dengan menggunakan metode pengabdian interaktif berupa permainan brakiasi dan permainan kelompok terstruktur, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kognitif, motorik halus, dan sosial-emosional siswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan problem-solving, koordinasi mata-tangan, serta interaksi sosial siswa setelah implementasi permainan edukatif. Hasil ini memperkuat bahwa permainan edukatif sangat penting sebagai instrumen pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan efektif untuk mengoptimalkan potensi perkembangan anak, serta menentukan fondasi kuat bagi pembelajaran di jenjang selanjutnya.
