Abstract

Bina Darma University (UBD) as one of the university based information technology currently has been assisted by the use of IT in implementing its strategy. University 4.0 is a university that makes students as a learning center and assisted by the use of IT.  UBD in conducting learning has been assisted by e-learning which is one of the benchmarks of 4.0 University perspectives. E-Learning implementation assists the learning process by students and lecturers. The performance of the e-learning system has not been measured. Measurements are performed to improve the quality of e-learning systems in the 4.0 university perspective. To perform analysis used the IT framework Balanced Scorecard consisting of four perspectives namely Corporate Contribution/Business Contribution, User Orientation, Operational Excellence and Future Orientation. The result of this research is an improved analysis of quality and strategies to improve the quality of e-learning systems in the 4.0 university perspective.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to investigate the extent of collaborative learning that occurs at Bina Darma University Palembang. The data used is data from posting in the e-learning forum. The data is then processed using the Community of Inquiry method approach. The results of this study are an analysis of the application of collaborative learning in e-learning forums and suggestions for improving its application. Abstract

The supply chain problems have traditionally resulted in inefficient distribution of the people's rubber production. The research scope is in Musi Rawas district. The purpose of this research is to optimize the people's rubber supply chain from each supply chain channel using an information system. The method of analysis used in this research is Linear Programming (LP). Conveyance capacity and labor hours serve as constraint functions, while the objective function is to maximize distribution profits from each rubber supply chain channel. From the results of testing the Quantitative Management (QM) application with a sample of farmers 1, village collectors 1 and sub-district 1 collectors in the first channel, a solution of type A products is obtained, which is 625 and a profit of X1 = 8218, then multiplied into a profit of Rp. 5,136,250. From the results of testing the Quantitative Management (QM) application with a sample of farmers and village / sub-district collectors 1 in the second channel, it was found that the product type A solution was 500 and the profit X1 = 7923, the profit was Rp. 3,961,500. From the results of testing the Quantitative Management (QM) application with a sample of farmers and UPPB 1 in the third channel, the solution for type B products is 562.5 and the profit X2 = 9897, the profit is Rp. 5,567,063. So from the results of the analysis using the QM application, the maximum benefit from the people's rubber supply chain in Musi Rawas district is in the third channel

Abstract

The application of data mining technique currently is widely used in supporting business activity, especially for insurance company which has to analyze a big number of customer data. The insurance company has to predict its new customer acquisition as well as maintain its existing customers. This paper is focused on how we support insurance companies, especially PT. XYZ, to analyze their customers’ characteristics data using the best data mining algorithm technique. The research aims to analyze existing customer data and to predict as well as find optimal patterns of how many of their customers will extend their insurance policies, and how many will not. We also explore the customer retention rate discovering the optimal solution for the company. We applied 4 different algorithms were applied, i.e. support vector machine algorithm, decision tree, k-NN, and random forest algorithm, comparing the results and finding a better solution. From the analysis, we found that the random forest algorithm provides better results in predicting the status of the insurance policy extension of current customers, with an accuracy rate of 91.08% and AUC value of 0.962. This result is quite good for PT XYZ, and could be enhanced in the future by applying a good strategy to increase their customer renewal ratio.

Abstract

This paper is to calculate the needs of lecturer in terms of quality and quantity as well as strategy for lecturer development. Our study used quantitative descriptive analysis as well as qualitative approach. The research took place at Politeknik Transportasi Sungai, Danau Dan Penyeberangan (Polytechnic Inland Water And Ferries Transport) Palembang. Data collected by sample. We used questionnaire to collect data and tested its validity and reliability. We conducted data analysis by comparing its current result with the Annex to the Regulation of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education number 3 of 2019-point C4, Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2020. We also conducted SWOT analysis to result the strategies should be implemented by the Polytechnic Inland Water and Ferries Transport. From our analysis, we found that they should increase the number of their lecturer with another new 18 lecturer, which comprising various 12 competency courses and 6 general courses. From SWOT matrix scoring analysis we found that the lecturer development in Polytechnic currently is in Growth or status of development, which is very strategic in developing their lecturers’ competencies further. Polytechnic should implement various programs that could improve the lecturer professional competencies as well pedagogical.

Abstract

In today's organizational landscape, information technology plays a critical role in supporting ongoing activities. Therefore, it is essential to conduct an analysis to determine the advantages and disadvantages of IT implementation. This research focuses on the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region II, a government agency responsible for improving the quality of higher education in its working area. LLDIKTI Region II uses an information technology system that aligns with the Institute's vision and mission. However, the governance level of the Online Functional Position Information System known as SIKITO has never been assessed, highlighting the need for a maturity framework to measure SIKITO's level and align it with LLDIKTI's vision and mission goals. COBIT 2019 is a framework that aligns with the vision and mission of LLDIKTI and demonstrates how each stakeholder's differences affect the use of information technology based on the maturity level of the implemented system. This research applied the COBIT 2019 framework in LLDIKTI Region II, utilizing the APO07, BAI08, and MEA03 domains. The results indicate that SIKITO's maturity level is below the expected value of -2.33, indicating a need for further development. This research contributes to the field by providing insights into the importance of aligning IT governance with an organization's vision and mission, and the role of maturity frameworks such as COBIT 2019 in achieving this alignment.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of timely, accurate, and relevant information technology services to support organizational activities, particularly in the context of radio frequency spectrum licensing services. The lack of government oversight of IT services often leads to complaints, necessitating evaluation using the ITIL framework. The study seeks to examine how ITIL V3 processes are applied within radio frequency spectrum licensing services at Balmon Palembang through a qualitative descriptive method. Findings suggest that the services have implemented ITIL V3 processes with a maturity level at level 3 Defined.

Abstract

Based on data from Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara (BSSN) in 2022, it was reported that a total of 1,950 security vulnerabilities were found in 457 electronic systems across various applications widely used by the public. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the risk of existing security vulnerabilities in the E-Office application and determine the level and impact that these vulnerabilities can cause. This research focuses on information system security, specifically evaluating the risk of security vulnerabilities in the E-Office application of the Ogan Ilir Regency. The research was conducted using the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) method with a risk rating assessment. The research process began with a literature review to gather data and information sources, determine the scope and research objectives, test, identify security vulnerabilities, analyze security vulnerabilities, and the results of the analysis. The research subject is the E-Office application of Ogan Ilir Regency, with the object of the research being the security vulnerabilities in that application. OWASPZap was used as a tool to obtain data on security vulnerabilities, and using OWASPZap, 38 security vulnerabilities were found, with 18 of them meeting the criteria of the OWASP Top 10. Our findings indicate that the security vulnerabilities in the E-Office application of Ogan Ilir Regency include vulnerabilities in authentication levels, access control, configuration, and data validation processes.

Abstract

SMA Negeri Sumatera Selatan, yang merupakan pilihan utama untuk Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri di kota Palembang, menekankan pentingnya teknologi informasi dalam mengelola sistem pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT 5) dan Pengukuran Capability Level Tata Kelola Keamanan Teknologi Informasi untuk menentukan domain prosesnya. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses domain COBIT Framework 5 yang relevan dengan Keamanan Teknologi Informasi melibatkan APO (Align, Plan and Organise) seperti APO04, APO12, APO13, dan DSS (Deliver, Service and Support) seperti DSS05. Analisis Capability Level menunjukkan bahwa APO04 berada pada level 3 - Manage Innovation, APO12 pada level 3 - Manage Risk, APO13 pada level 3 - Manage Security, dan DSS05 pada level 3 - Manage Service Security.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam interaksi dan pertukaran informasi, salah satunya melalui platform ulasan online seperti Google Maps. Ulasan ini menjadi sumber informasi penting bagi calon mahasiswa dan masyarakat dalam menilai kualitas institusi pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen pada ulasan Universitas Bina Darma, dengan harapan dapat memberikan wawasan mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan mahasiswa, seperti kualitas pengajaran, fasilitas, dan layanan administrasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan model CRISP-DM (Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining) sebagai pedoman dalam analisis. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan data hasil web scraping dari ulasan Google Maps pada Universitas Bina Darma. Dalam penelitan ini, algoritma random forest dengan teknik SMOTE digunakan untuk menyeimbangkan data sekaligus meningkatkan kinerja algoritma random forest dengan menggunakan ekstraksi fitur TF-IDF dan k-fold cross validation. Analisis terhadap 875 data ulasan hasil pembersihan menggunakan rasio 70:30 dalam membagi data latih dan data uji. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa algoritma random forest dengan teknik SMOTE mencapai nilai akurasi tertinggi yaitu 92%. Perfoma yang dihasilkan algoritma random forest cukup baik dalam analisis sentimen ulasan Google Maps. Analisis ini diharapkan mampu menjadi masukan dan wawasan untuk mendukung meningkatkan reputasi dan daya saing Universitas Bina Darma di dunia pendidikan.
