Abstract

Utilization of composite materials as an alternative to metal materials in the expanding field of engineering. This is because the advantages possessed by Composite materials such as natural fibers into a lighter construction, corrosion resistance, and strength can be designed in accordance with the direction of loading. In this study, the authors make the specimen using coco fiber as a reinforcement of composite and polypropylene as a matrix with the holding time and temperature variations in the injection molding process. The purpose of this study to determine the tensile strength and bending as well as shape analysis and mikroskipis macroscopic fracture that occurs in the specimen by using a camera and microscope test equipment. Variations holding time is 7 seconds, 8 seconds, 9 seconds. Barrel temperature on the injection molding machine used is 180ºC, 190ºC, 200ºC and injection pressure of 7 bar. Of tensile and bending test results it can be concluded that there are significant variations of holding time and temperature on the mechanical properties of the composite strength values ​​were generated. In the holding time and temperature variations, occurring on average values ​​of tensile strength and bending at the highest temperature holding time is 9 seconds 190ºC is 11.42831 N/mm2. and a temperature holding time 8 seconds 180ºC ie 10,584 MPa. Abstract

The process  of  drilling  or  often  referred  to  as  the  drill  is  the  simplest machining  process  among  other  machining  processes.  Usually  in  the  garage  or workshop process is called the drill, although this term is actually less accurate. The process of the drill is intended as a process of making a round hole by using a drill (twist drill). While the process of drilling is the process to expand / enlarge the hole that can be done with a drill rod is not only done on the drill machine, but it could also machine tool, machine freis, or drilling machines. From the research results can be seen the effect of the parameters used to the chatter values obtained chisel. Can be seen carving the smallest value of the vibration generated from experimental data 1 is =0.6361 m/s2 at n = 136 rpm, f = 0,07 and a = 14 mm. While the biggest chisel vibration acceleration values obtained from experimental data collection to 27 for =,4267 m/s2 at n = 681 rpm, f = 0,22 and a = 20 mm. From the regression equation can be known parameters of the most influential pieces of depth of cut. The results in general that the value of vibration acceleration and determination, after  the meal motion raised the value of vibration acceleration chisel and roundness are also growing, this was due to the greater movement of food is used then the resulting anger is also getting thicker  so that the required cutting force increasing large. Consequently tangential force is also rising and  causing the radial force and moment coupling. Moments and radial forces which cause bending and twisting of the chisel, consequently the greater the roundness deviation. Key words: drilling, feeding, dept of cut, spindle head and vibration.

Abstract

The likelihood of complaints occurring in the tire retreading machine operator is very possible especially if the seats are not as ergonomic. This situation occurs and will be redesign chair  process machine operators with a method of tire retreading Reverse Engineering (RE) with respect to ergonomic aspects. By analysis using finite element software simulations, we can determine the voltage that occurs in part the concept of tire retreading machine operator seat. So it can be seen clearly the force distribution that occurs in material unit concept tire retreading machine operator seat. To calculate the material strength analysis by finite element software can use the help of CATIA V5R14 software. This is intended to get maximum results and an accurate analysis. After the experiment, the voltage that occurs on a cushion of 1.81x106 N/m2 located on the bottom face of the middle cushion while the minimum working voltage is 1.81x105 N/m2 located on the bottom front cushion edges. The voltage that occurs on a cushion of 1.27x108 N/m2 located at the base of the curved pipe connections while the minimum working voltage is 1.27x107 N/m2 located at the base of a straight pipe connection. Ergonomics analysis obtained by using the method Rula when operators run the machine has the injury risk rate value is 2, which shows the attitude of the body is acceptabel and do not need to be changed for the long term. Abstract

Product with quality obtained from existence of good forming process. Ovality one of deviation which is because of process bending. Process bending donewithout and internal  pressure. Internal pressure used: 100, 200, 250 and 300 bar. Equipments used in course of bending consisted of the hydraulic pump, pressure gauge, regulator / valve, T Fitting, Oli SAE 40 and Nivle Pipe ( NPT).For that require to be a research to analyse the hydraulic pressure influence to ovality process of bending of pipe of circular of raw material camp chair. Research done to designed experiment with the diameter tube 16, 19.05 and 25.4 mm. Its result hydraulic pressure yielding ovality minimum is for the D of tube 16 mm equal to 300 bar while for the D of tube 19.05 and 25.4 equal to 250 bar. Keywords: bending process, ovality and hydraulic pressure.

Abstract

This design to make the organic garbage crusher machine which its structure can be made easy and cheap by society, and can be operated simply, moved by diesel engine 20 hp own the ability can can break the permanent organic garbage upon which compost. This activity  divisible in 2 solution framework that is technical solution framework and solution non technical. Technical Approach: approach to society of orchard Damsari by attending method/machine to processes and dissociate the garbage type so that heaping sum up the deductible garbage. Approach of non technical: approach to citizen by guiding and growing to develop the society awareness about its important keep cleaning environmental and sanitasi. From final this activity inferential that: making of organic garbage crusher machine earn the especial problems faced by group society orchard of Damsari town Sempu Banyuwangi. Making of enforceable organic garbage  Machine better as according to time plan which have been determined, Especial problems partner concerning garbage processing with the this machine attendance expected depending to on duty deductible town Sempu hygiene and created  society of self manage garbage. Result from this garbage processing machine in the form  organic garbage upon which compost of the size 2-3 cm and organic garbage process become the compost used by farmer group, so that indirectly can improve the earnings of society of orchard Damsari and permeating new labour. Abstract

Proses bubut merupakan proses pemesinan yang banyak digunakan dalam komponen-komponen mesin (logam). Setiap proses pembubutan mempunyai karakteristik tertentu dari material yang dihasilkan. Untuk memperoleh karakteristik-karakteristik yang sesuai dengan keinginan maka diperlukan rancangan yang tepat. Karakteristik permukaan suatu benda kerja memegang peranan penting pada pembuatan komponen-komponen mesin. Selain digunakan untuk membuat komponen-komponen mesin, proses bubut dapat juga digunakan untuk membuat benda-benda putar yang terbuat dari non logam, salah satunya adalah batu marmer. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pemesinan pada material batu marmer dengan panjang 200 mm dan diameter 40 mm, putaran spindel 400 rpm dan kedalaman potong 1 mm. Proses pemesinan dilakukan pada mesin bubut semi-otomatis Maximat dilakukan tanpa cairan pendingin dengan pahat insert karbida “Widia YG6” dengan rake angle 0o (netral). Setelah benda kerja dibubut, kemudian benda kerja diukur kekasaran permukaanya dengan mengunakan alat uji kekasaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai kekasaran permukaan 3.726 μm untuk posisi pengukuran 150 mm dari chuck mesin dengan simpangan sebesar 0.773 μm. Nilai kekasaran permukaan 3.24 μm untuk posisi pengukuran 100 mm dari chuck mesin dengan simpangan sebesar 0.42 μm. Nilai kekasaran permukaan 2.977 μm untuk posisi pengukuran 50 mm dari chuck mesin dengan simpangan sebesar 0.391 μm. Rake angle netral menghasilkan rata-rata kekasaran permukaan sebesar 2.789 μm dengan nilai R2 sebesar 96.37%. Kata kunci: proses bubut, batu marmer, rake angle dan kekasaran permukaan.

Abstract

Chamomile is a package which is applied for cosmetic. In industry this package is being processed by blow molding. Thereare many parameters that influence cycle time during production; in this project only three of them were varied, i.e. blowingpressure, blowing time and stopping time. Each parameter is determined three chosen level. Middle level is taken fromstandard setting of machining which is being used by industry. Top and bottom level is randomized. Three stopping time are0.1, 0.55, and 1.0 second. Blowing time are 10.5, 11.5 and 12.5 second. Where as, blowing pressures is 4, 5 and 6 bar.Combination of among levels is based on Box Behnken design. Those three parameters are called variable process. In theother hand, variable responses are cycle time and net weight. Each combination is replicated 5 times and then averaged. Thedata then is processed by using Minitab version 14th. Square regression of the model for cycle time is ?CT = 21,1300 - 0,0912X1 + 0,2000 X2 + 0,6313 X3 + 0,6100 X12 + 0,6975 X22 – 0,1000 X1 X2 – 0,1725 X1 X3 + 0,1100 X2 X3 and Net = 19,2933 –0,0088 X1 + 0,0175 X2 + 0,0712 X3 + 0,0133 X 21 + 0.0158 X22- 0.0217 X 23 + 0.0125 X1X2 - 0,0150 X1 X3 for product netweight. Where X1 is blowing pressure, X2 is blowing time and X3 is stopping time.The model developed then tested by lack offit testing, variance by ANOVA and R square. Second stage of model testing is residual test. Three tests are carry out, i.e.identically test and independency test and normality. Optimization of both values, cycle time and net weight, are searched byResponse Surface Method. By the method it is found that the optimum condition of cycle time is 20.5 seconds and net weightis 19.19 grams. The optimum condition is achieved when stopping is 0.1 second, blowing time 11.35 second and blowingpressure 5.1 bars.

Abstract

In each design do have to consider the strength of the material. The force that must be considered regarding the dimensions, materials, and the structure of the workpiece. This research will be discussed on the analysis of stress concentration crash test specimen doors and bumpers electric car with the finite element method. The finite element method is a numerical method used to solve technical problems and physical symptoms metematis which include stress, strain, force, and vibration analysis. The finite element method is to compare between calculation using CATIA software and use manual calculation. In this case the finite element method to be used is the finite element method 2D triangular elements with 3 nodes. From this study, the largest and smallest stress to the crash test door electric car is8.65 x 106 N/m2 and 1.71 x 105 N/m2. while stress for the largest and smallest electric car bumper crash test are: 4.69 x 107 N/m2 and 1.01 x 106 N/m2.
