Abstract

Literacy is something that has received serious attention in recent years in Indonesia. This is because the results of the 2015 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) study on students 'reading ability stated that students' reading skills in ndonesia ranked 69th out of 76 countries surveyed. This data is reinforced by the World's Most Literate Nations data, compiled by Central Connecticut State University in 2016, our literacy ranking is in the second lowest position of 61 countries studied. Indonesia is simply better than Bostwana, a country in the southern region of Africa. With this, the role of various parties is demanded, including universities in developing literacy in Indonesia. STAIN Sorong is one of the universities in the Eastern region of Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper examines the problems of learning Islamic education subject at SMK Negeri 3 Sorong. Islamic education is one of the compulsory subjects in schools at every level of education, from elementary until high school and university. At SMK Negeri 3 Sorong, Islamic education subject is a normative subject that is give a students chance to become good believers, fear to Allah SWT, are become a good person, and have a complete personality. With Islamic education subject in the schools, student are expected to understand, appreciate and practice the teachings of Islam in everyday life. Although Islamic education has been teached at SMK Negeri 3 Sorong, ethical and moral deviations students still a big problem. Drinking alcohol, promiscuity, often skipping school, lying, talking harshly, and fighting still perform by the student. This paper interested in researching the problems of Islamic education subject at SMK Negeri 3 Sorong. The results of this study are: First, learning Islamic education subject at SMK Negeri 3 Sorong faces various problems. Most students have not been capability to read the Alquran, lack of cooperation between teachers and students, the teachers have not applying personal and professional competences in learning, limited time to learn a subject, school facilities and infrastructure that have not optimally supported in Islamic learning subject. Second, SMK Negeri 3 Sorong has made various efforts in addressing the problems of Islamic education subject. Especially, the program of reading the Qur'an once a week, praying dzuhur jamaah at the mosque, and religious extracurricular activities such as monthly recitation for teachers and students

Abstract

ABSTRACT Title : Zoom Aplication Problems in Fiqih Learning in English Class of IAIN Sorong The purpose of this study was to investigate student perceptions of Fiqh learning using the Zoom application and to explore the difficulties faced by students in learning Fiqh using the Zoom application. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. Qualitative research focuses on natural phenomena or events. The research subjects were English students of IAIN Sorong Papua Barat who studied Fiqh courses. The research procedure carried out in this study was to collect data in the form of questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. In this study, the data analysis used consisted of 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that students' perceptions of the use of the Zoom application in Fiqh learning include: active participation in learning, ease of understanding the material, effectiveness of using the Zoom application, benefits of using the Zoom application, new experiences in knowledge, efficiency in establishing communication, creativity in learning, and motivation study. The main difficulty for students in using the Zoom application is an unstable internet network. The solution to overcome these difficulties is to find a place that has a more stable network, or the learning is shifted to Whatsapp Groups. Key Word: Problematics, Zoom Application, Fiqh Learning
