Abstract

Power Plant is a tool to generate electricity by converting potential energy into mechanical energy which eventually turns into electrical power. The sources of power for electricity generation in Indonesia generally use hydro and wind power. The existence of excessive accumulation of waste in several cities or regencies has given rise to an idea/breakthrough for another use, namely the Garbage Power Plant (PLTSa). PLTSa is a Government program as an effort to utilize clean and renewable energy, and is one form of Indonesia's commitment that has agreed on a global methane pledge to reduce methane gas emissions by 30% by 2030.

Abstract

The scope of competitiveness at the regional level includes various benchmark factors including economic growth and stability factors, regional convergence and divergence, diversity, and the impact of regional situations (Chrobocińska, 2021). The broad scope of regional competitiveness can then be interpreted broadly to mean that competitiveness is closely related to regional development and the stimuli that accompany it, so that competitiveness factors drive regional development factors and vice versa. Moreover, several literatures use this competitiveness as a marker of sustainability (competitiveness index as evidence of sustainability) for a geographic scope including cities, districts, provinces and countries (Judrupa, 2021; Korauš, Havierniková, Gombár, Černák, & Felcan, 2020 ; Nogueira & Madaleno, 2023). This strong connectivity between competitiveness, development and the sustainability paradigm was then used as one of the foundations for the implementation of the Sustainable Regional Competitiveness Index by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper critically examines the mechanisms employed by the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) in Indonesia for resolving election disputes. Focusing on the country’s democratic landscape, where electoral integrity is paramount, the study delves into the procedural framework and legal avenues that the Bawaslu employs to address election-related conflicts. The research explores the historical context and evolution of the Bawaslu's role, shedding light on its establishment, powers, and responsibilities. By analyzing case studies and key instances of election disputes, the paper evaluates the efficacy and responsiveness of the Bawaslu in managing and adjudicating conflicts within the electoral process. Additionally, the study investigates the legal instruments and regulations governing the Bawaslu's dispute resolution functions. This includes an examination of the agency's authority in interpreting electoral laws, handling complaints, conducting investigations, and rendering decisions. The paper scrutinizes the transparency, accountability, and impartiality of the Bawaslu’s decision-making processes. Furthermore, the research assesses the impact of Bawaslu’s decisions on the broader electoral system, considering implications for public trust, political stability, and the overall health of Indonesia's democracy.
