Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership on Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior through Employee Engagement in non-formal educational institutions (PKBM) in West Java. Data from 291 respondents were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Results show that Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership significantly influence Employee Engagement. Organizational Culture and Employee Engagement affect Organizational Citizenship Behavior, while Employee Engagement influences Organizational Commitment. Employee Engagement serves as a mediator between Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. However, Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership do not directly impact Organizational Commitment, and Transformational Leadership does not significantly influence Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Practical implications suggest enhancing institutional performance for the well-being of educators. The study contributes to the Integrative Organizational Behaviors Model, rooted in Social Exchange Theory, providing insights for future research on Organizational Behavior.

Abstract

Faktor pertama yaitu bahan organik: b0 : kontrol (tanpa pemberian bahan organik), b1: kompos Paitan 15 t ha-1, b2: kompos eceng gondok 15 t ha-1, b3: abu cangkang sawit 15 t ha-1. Faktor kedua : mikroba: mo: kontrol (tanpa pemberian mikroba), m1 : Inokulum campuran Fungi Mikoriza Asburkular (FMA) 10 g polibag-1, m2 :Inokulum campuran  BPF (Bakteri Pelarut Fosfat) 10 ml polibag-1, m3 : campuran FMA dan BPF. Aplikasi bahan organik dan mikroorganisme belum berpengaruh dalam peningkatan pertumbuhan tanaman cabai rawit, namun berpengaruh terhadap fisik tanah  tanah pasca galian batuan.ABSTRACTOrganic matters and microorganisms are needed to improve the physical properties of the post-mine sand pits soil so that it can be used for plant cultivation. The purpose of this study was to know the influence of organic matters and soil microorganism application on post-mine sand pits soil improvement and chili pepper growth. This study was conducted in Cibiru Bandung (-6.92049471880716, 107.716127309820), from June to October 2020, using Block Randomized Factorial Design two factors and repeated three times. The first factor was organic matters: b0 : control, b1: compost Titonia 15 t ha-1, b2: compost Hyacinth 15 t ha-1, b3: palm shell ash 15 tha-1. The second factor: microbes: m0: control, m1: mix inoculum AMF  10 g polybag-1, m2 : mix inoculum PSB 10 ml polybag-1 , m3 : mixture of AMF and PSB. The results showed that hyacinth 15 t ha-1 given with FMA or PSB increased soil moisture. The application of organic matters and microbes decreased water stable aggregates. Hyacinth and PSB lower the temperature of the soil. The application of organic matters and microorganisms has not had an effect in increasing the growth of chili pepper plants but influences the physical properties of the post-mine sand pit  soil.

Abstract

Elevated sand and gravel mining to meet market needs causes negative impacts on the environment, soil, and biodiversity. The government issued a regulation that requires revegetation as reclamation of mineral and coal mining. The conversion needs to overcome the physical and chemical characteristics of post-rock excavation soil that can be utilized by economic value plants such as bok choy. This experiment aimed to determine the growth and yield of bok choy on post-rock excavation soil by providing phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) and various manure types. The study was conducted in Margasari Village, Buah Batu District, Bandung at an altitude of 671 m above sea level and at the Soil Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung from April to June 2023. The experimental design used was a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors and repeated three times. The first factor was PSB isolate dose (without PSB; 5 mL polybag-1; 10 mL polybag-1; 15 mL polybag-1, and 20 mL polybag-1). The second factor was manure variety (cow, goat, and laying hen manure, each of 15 t ha-1). The parameters observed comprised the soil and plant parameters. The results showed that there was no interaction between the dose of PSB isolate and various types of manure on the growth and yield of bok choy plants. The PSB isolate and manure had not been able yet to increase the growth and yield of Bok Choy (Brassica rapa L.) plants on post-rock excavation soil, mainly due to the soil nature.

Abstract

The Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905) was a significant event in the early 20th century that saw the two nations clash on various battlefields, both on land and at sea. This article aims to analyze the naval combat strategies employed during the Russo-Japanese War, with the objective of providing relevant insights for the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL). The primary focus of this analysis is the effectiveness of strategies such as naval blockades, visionary leadership, and the optimization of fleets and logistics, factors that are highly relevant for strengthening Indonesia’s maritime defense as an archipelagic nation. This article is based on a historical research approach, utilizing a variety of sources, including archives, books, magazines, journal articles, and other documents that contain pertinent information on the topic. The analysis reveals that six naval battles took place during the Russo-Japanese War, with Japan emerging victorious in five of them. In these battles, Japan implemented an aggressive naval blockade strategy, supported by effective leadership, a superior fleet and armament, as well as a well-organized logistics system. Based on these findings, the researcher recommends that the TNI AL develop a naval combat operation plan tailored to Indonesia’s specific maritime conditions, in order to strengthen its deterrent capabilities and national maritime defense.
