Abstract

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership on Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior through Employee Engagement in non-formal educational institutions (PKBM) in West Java. Data from 291 respondents were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Results show that Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership significantly influence Employee Engagement. Organizational Culture and Employee Engagement affect Organizational Citizenship Behavior, while Employee Engagement influences Organizational Commitment. Employee Engagement serves as a mediator between Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. However, Organizational Culture and Transformational Leadership do not directly impact Organizational Commitment, and Transformational Leadership does not significantly influence Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Practical implications suggest enhancing institutional performance for the well-being of educators. The study contributes to the Integrative Organizational Behaviors Model, rooted in Social Exchange Theory, providing insights for future research on Organizational Behavior.

Abstract

Medication errors or errors in administering medications are serious health problems that occur in various health care facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. These errors can occur at the stage of writing prescriptions by doctors, providing and preparing drugs by pharmacists, to administering drugs to patients by nurses or patients themselves. Medication errors can lead to a variety of negative consequences, ranging from mild side effects to life-threatening events. This study aims to examine the role of effective communication in reducing medication errors in pharmacy practice. The research method used is a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study at the Salsabilah pharmacy in Leuwikujang Village, Leuwimunding District, Majalengka Regency and the Salsabilah 2 pharmacy in Trajaya Village, Palasah District, Majalengka Regency. The research sample consisted of health workers (pharmacists and doctors) at the Salsabilah pharmacy in Leuwikujang Village, Leuwimunding District, Majalengka Regency and the Salsabilah 2 pharmacy in Trajaya Village, Palasah District, Majalengka Regency, as well as patients who received services at the pharmacy. The results of the study show that effective communication between health workers and patients can improve patient safety by reducing the risk of medication errors. Good communication helps patients understand the treatment they are receiving, so they can follow instructions correctly and report any other side effects or problems immediately.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has heterogeneously affected the use of essential health services worldwide, with disruptions in some countries beginning in the early stages of the emergency in March 2020. These disruptions have occurred on both the supply and demand sides of healthcare and have often been related to resource shortages to provide care and lower patient turnout associated with mobility restrictions and fear of contracting COVID-19 at facilities. The goal of this paper, compare the HBsAg test before and after the COVID-19 pandemic to a pregnant woman's early detection with HBsAg to achieve the target of at least 80% in 2020. Method using a simple mathematical calculation modeling approach developed to predict health service use until the pandemic using routinely collected health information systems data (SIHEPI). Results show HBsAg reactive Proportion of total pregnant women in each Province is about 2,1% on 47,91% of pregnant women in Indonesia, highest in eastern Indonesia province (NTT, Papua, and West Papua). With a calculation of 80% targeted a pregnant woman in 2020, reactive Proportion predicted about 4,4% in Indonesia, West Papua becomes the highest Province with 21,38%, Papua about 12,63%, and NTT about 11,31%. In conclusion, refered to comparison of mathematical calculation approach from 80% targeted average become 4,4% reactive HBsAg test. Delaying early detection in pregnant women before and after the covid19 pandemic becomes a double burden in Indonesia. These phenomena become a high-risk factor for maternal-to-child transmission. Indonesia needs serious action to achieve Hepatitis B elimination in 2030.
