Abstract

The process of teaching and learning activities of science subjects The material of the Indra and Maintenance Equipment which is usually done is lecture and only emphasize on the book. Teaching activities centered on teachers. Learners prefer to listen and record rather than ask or express opinions. Passive state of learners make a mistake pahama concept of teaching materials. The scientific approach is expected to increase activity and learning achievement. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Subjects in this study were students class IV SD N 2 Kalibening 2017/2018 academic year which amounted to 20 children. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, interviews, and field notes. Data analysis using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The success criteria of action are said to be active if the number of active learners reaches 61% -80%. Criteria for the success of science learning achievement The material of Indra and Pemelihraanya which escaped KKM is 75% ≥ 81%.The results showed that learning with scientific approach has increased. Improvement can be seen in terms of activity and learning achievement of learners. In cycle I the percentage of activity reached 50% and increased in cycle II to reach 74%. Percentage increase in cycle I is 55% and increase in cycle II by 90%. It is concluded that the application of scientific approach can improve the activity and learning achievement of the fourth grade students of SD N 2 Kalibening in the science learning of the material of the sensory equipment and its maintainers.

Abstract

The research background is caused by students tend to feel bored when learning science. This study aims to develop LKS teaching materials based on Contextual Teaching and Learning in the school environment for science subjects for grade III elementary school, and to determine the feasibility of LKS teaching materials based on Contextual Teaching and Learning developed. This study uses the Research and Develpoment (R & D) method which was adapted from Sugiyono's research. The teaching materials developed through media expert validation, material expert validation, and learning expert validation. Then it was tested at Pakel Muhammadiyah Elementary School Yogyakarta Plus Program by using small group and large group trials. The research was carried out in accordance with the planned steps, in accordance with the development model adapted from Sugiyono's research, resulting in Contextual Teaching and Learning-based LKS teaching materials in the school environment on science subjects material for maintaining environmental health around class III SD Muhammadiyah Pakel Plus Program Yogyakarta, learning can be more effective. The evaluation data for teaching materials developed are as follows: media experts get a percentage of 93.3% in very decent criteria, material experts get a percentage of 81.67% in very feasible criteria, learning experts get a percentage of 80% in eligible criteria, small group trials the percentage of 91.1% is very feasible, the large group trial gets a percentage of 97.82% which is very feasible, the assessment of the small group trial teacher gets a percentage of 98.3% and is very feasible, and the assessment of large group testing teachers get a percentage of 100% which is very feasible. Based on these data, LKS teaching materials based on Contextual Teaching and Learning developed are appropriate for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Students still experience difficulties developing critical abilities, so students still experience difficulties working in groups, communicating, solving problems, and making decisions as the right solution to a problem. This study aimed to analyze whether the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model, through science learning, affected students' critical thinking skills. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control design. Methods of data collection using observation and documentation methods using research instruments. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The sample of this research is 25 students. Based on the hypothesis testing obtained through the t-test calculation with a significant level (a) 0.05 and dk = 25-2 = 23, the value of tcount = 27.98 is obtained. Thus, it can be concluded that t-count > t-table or 27.98 > 2.069, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the hypothesis stating that the problem-based learning method influences the critical thinking skills of class 4H students at Ahmad Dahlan University is accepted as true. It was concluded that the problem-based learning method influenced the critical thinking skills of class 4H students.

Abstract

Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan bentuk kesalahan berbahasa pada tataran morfologi dalam iklan produk pangan di televisi selama Ramadan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode simak,  teknik dasar sadap, yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik lanjut catat. Data dianalis menggunakan metode padan referensial dengan alat penentu berupa referen dan dilanjutkan dengan teknik dasar pilah unsur penentu dan teknnik lanjut hubung banding sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 21 iklan produk pangan di televisi selama Ramadan yang mengandung kesalahan berbahasa pada tataran morfologi dengan total 52 kesalahan. Kesalahan berbahasa tersebut meliputi kesalahan pada pembubuhan afiksasi sejumlah 47 kesalahan yang mencakup penghilangan afiksasi dan penggunaan afiksasi yang tidak tepat. Sementara itu, kesalahan pada penggantian morf ditemukan sejumlah 5 kesalahan, yakni berupa penyingkatan morf. Dengan penelitian ini, peneliti berharap para pembuat iklan dan produsen lebih memerhatikan kembali penggunaan bahasa dalam iklannya.Katakunci: iklan; kesalahan; morfologi; pangan; produk  Abstract:This article will describe language errors at the morphological level in food product advertisements on television during Ramadan. The research was conducted using listening, recording, and note-taking technique. The data were analyzed using the referential equivalent method with a determining tool in the form of a reference and continued with the basic technique of categorizing the determining elements and advanced technique of equal comparison. The results show that there were 21 advertisements for food products on television during Ramadan which contained language errors at the morphological level with a total of 52 errors. The language errors include errors in affixing affixes of 47 errors which include omitting affixes and using inappropriate affixes. Meanwhile, there were 5 errors in the replacement of morphs, in the form of morphing abbreviations. With this research, it is expected that advertisers and producers pay more attention to the use of language in their advertisements.Keywords: advertising; error; morphology; food; product

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui ciri proses dan karakteristik instrumen penilaian LKS tematik subsains SD kelas tinggi yang layak ditinjau dari aspek keterbacaan, validitas, objektivitas, kesistematisan, dan praktikabilitas. Instrumen ini digunakan sebagai instrumen penilaian kualitas LKS tematik subsains SD kelas tinggi. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan model procedural yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian produk. Subyek penilai instrument ini meliputi ahli evaluasi dan ahli media yang bertindak sebagai reviewer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrument penilaian kualitas diperoleh rata-rata 89 dengan kualitas sangat baik (SB). Rerata keterbacaan: 72 9 (baik/B), rerata validitas: 4,2 (baik/B), rerata objektivitas: 4,2 (baik/B), rerata kesistematisan: 4,4 (sangat baik/SB), dan rerata praktikabilitas: 4,2 (baik/B). Jadi, instrumen penilaian kualitas LKS tematik sub sains SD kelas tinggi ini layak digitnakan sebagai instrumen penilaian kualitas LKS tematik SD.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah; (a) mendeskripsikan karakteristik model pembelajaran Probalisi; (b) mengetahui respon mahasiswa pada pembelajaran model Probalisi pada materi Reproduksi dalam meningkatkan efikasi diri; (c) mengetahui efektivitas buku model pembelajaran Probalisi pada materi kesehatan reproduksi, dan; (d) untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran model pembelajaran probalisi pada mata kuliah IPA Dasar Materi Kesehatan Reproduksi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau RnD dengan model ADDIE dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD semester gasal Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 pada Mata Kuliah IPA Dasar Angkatan Tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian  didapatkan bahwa; (a) Didapatkan desain pembelajaran Probalisi dengan mengadaptasi Model Problem Based Learning dengan mengubah sedikit sintaks-sintaksnya; (b) Berdasarkan angket yang digunakan untuk mengukur efikasi diri mahasiswa sebanyak 40 mahasiswa diperoleh total skor hasil 520 dengan rata-rata nilai 13 (82,25 %) dan dikategorikan sangat baik dan sangat layak digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan materi pengayaan Kesehatan Reproduksi; (c) Untuk buku yang digunakan dalam penelitian berdasarkan dosen A dan dosen B yang mengajar pada materi yang sama dalam satu program studi PGSD Universitas Ahmad Dahlan didapatkan skor total adalah 85 (97%) dikategorikan sangat baik); (d) Untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran probalisi pada kesehatan reproduksi berdasarkan penilaian 2 orang peer reviewer didapatkan skor total 30 (88,24%) dengan kategori sangat baik. Pembelajaran ini begitu sangat bersinergi dengan pengetahuan agama awal mahasiswa karena semua ilmu itu bersumber dari Al Quran dan As Sunnah. Oleh karena itu perlunya dikembangkan pembelajaran probalisi agar semua selamat menganut hukum dan ketatapan yang Allah buat untuk manusia, bukan hukum positif manusia yang serba tentatif kebenarannya

Abstract

This research focuses on presenting a model for developing Child-Friendly Schools (SRA) in Yogyakarta's primary schools by combining principles from neuroscience and Islamic education. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study engages school principals, teachers, and students as research subjects. Data collection entails observations, interviews, and documentation, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. Analysis follows Miles Huberman's Interactive Model, encompassing data reduction, presentation, and conclusion/verification. The study reveals that SD Negeri Giwangan and SD Negeri Ngupasan effectively implement child-friendly school practices according to Yogyakarta Mayor's Decree No. 434 of 2016. These schools prioritize six essential indicators: 1) SRA Policy, 2) Curriculum implementation, 3) Training of educators and staff in children's rights, 4) SRA facilities and infrastructure, 5) Fostering child participation, and 6) Encouraging parent involvement. The incorporation of neuroscience insights and Islamic education principles has notable positive implications. This approach contributes to shaping students' behavior to become both well-behaved and child-friendly. Moreover, it facilitates the creation of an enjoyable learning environment and nurtures students' imaginative capabilities. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan model pengembangan Sekolah Ramah Anak (SRA) berbasis neurosains dan pendidikan Islam di SD Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek Penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Analisis Data menggunakan Model Interaktif Miles Huberman mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah SD Negeri Giwangan dan SD Negeri Ngupasan menerapkan sekolah ramah anak berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Walikota Yogyakarta Nomor 434 Tahun 2016. Kedua sekolah tersebut menerapkan 6 (enam) indikator Sekolah ramah anak yaitu 1) Kebijakan SRA, 2). Pelaksanaan kurikulum, 3). Pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan terlatih hak-hak anak, 4). Sarana dan prasarana SRA, 5). Partisipasi anak, dan 6). Partisipasi orang tua. Implikasi dari neurosains dan pendidikan Islam membantu peran siswa berlaku baik dan ramah anak. Menciptakan suasana lingkungan sekolah yang menyenangkan dan menumbuhkan sikap imajinasi kreatif siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a significant effect of the use of the probing prompting model on student learning outcomes in flat geometry material in class III SDN Petok, Mojo District, Kediri Regency. This study uses a quantitative method. The research design uses a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were all third-grade students at SDN Petok in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Sampling used a non-probability sampling technique, a saturated sampling type. The research sample was 19 students. Data were collected using observation and tests. The results showed that the magnitude of the effect was evident in the Wilcoxon test results obtained a significant value of 0.000. Based on the testing criteria, if the value of sig less than0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which states that there is a difference in the pretest and posttest results. This means that there is a significant effect of the use of the probing prompting model on student learning outcomes in flat geometry material in class III SDN Petok.

Abstract

School field introduction program is intended to solidify academic and educational field competencies through various activities in schools. The aim of this research is to analyze the various responses of students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan towards the School Field Introduction Program (PLP) II, and to identify internal and external factors that can act as supports or obstacles for students in the implementation of the PLP II program in partner schools or laboratory schools for achieving sustainability in education. This research is quantitative with a descriptive approach and utilizes a survey method. The population of this research includes active odd-semester students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, class of 2016, totaling 324 students. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error, resulting in a sample size of 179 student respondents. Data collection was conducted online using a questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed descriptively and presented in percentages using SPSS. The results of this study show that the responses of students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan towards the PLP II program are categorized as very high, with a percentage of 42.5%. The research findings on internal and external factors are also categorized as very high, with percentages of 58.9% and 62.0%, respectively, indicating that internal and external factors can serve as support for the PLP II program. Thus, this research can serve as a benchmark for the success of students in implementing the PLP II program for achieving sustainability in education.

Abstract

Smartphones have revolutionized communication and interaction, becoming essential, particularly for children and teens. However, there is a contradiction in their use among students. While smartphones hold significant potential as educational tools, the government has banned their use in elementary schools to safeguard children from potential negative effects. This study aims to analyze the impact of smartphone use on the cognitive abilities and emotional intelligence of students at Pogung 2 State Elementary School (SDN 2 Pogung). The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, focusing on 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling, ensuring that the participants were representative of the target population in terms of smartphone usage habits and academic performance. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires to measure the intensity of smartphone use and its relationship with students’ cognitive abilities and emotional intelligence. The results of the study indicate that smartphone use among students ranges from 1 to 3 hours per day. However, this intensity of use does not show a significant impact on students’ cognitive abilities or emotional intelligence. The primary factors influencing cognitive abilities and emotional intelligence are more determined by parental guidance, educators, and the students’ surrounding environment. The conclusion of this study is that smartphone use does not have a direct impact on students’ cognitive abilities and emotional intelligence. Therefore, it is recommended that further research be conducted to develop appropriate regulations regarding smartphone use for elementary school students, in order to maximize benefits and minimize potential negative impacts.
