Abstract

This study was motivated by the increasing interest of the millennial generation in gold investment, but the low level of Islamic financial literacy and the absence of in-depth empirical studies in Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of Islamic financial literacy, income, risk perception, and financial behavior on investment decisions for Antam precious metal gold in the millennial generation. This study uses the Theory of Planned Behavior, Decision Theory, and Prospect Theory as theoretical foundations. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey technique by distributing questionnaires to 100 millennial generation respondents in Pekanbaru City. Data analysis was carried out using validity, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 30. The results of the study showed that partially, income and financial behavior had a positive and significant effect on gold investment decisions, while Islamic financial literacy and risk perception did not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, the four independent variables had a significant effect on investment decisions. These findings indicate that healthy financial behavior and sufficient income levels are dominant factors in driving gold investment decisions. This study provides recommendations for financial institutions and providers of sharia gold products to be more active in educating sharia financial literacy, as well as developing marketing strategies that are adaptive to the preferences of the millennial generation. For academics, this study is expected to be a reference in developing studies on sharia investment and the financial behavior of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study explores how economic dynamics shape poverty levels in Indonesia, with a particular focus on the moderating influence of the Human Development Index (HDI). Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were gathered from 34 provinces across Indonesia over the period 2020–2024. Key variables examined include the open unemployment rate, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), population size, and regional minimum wage, while HDI functions as a moderating factor. The analysis employed multiple linear regression via the Generalized Least Square (GLS) method, followed by Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) using EViews 12 software. By integrating panel data techniques and interaction effect assessments, the study reveals that both unemployment and population size significantly and negatively impact poverty reduction. In contrast, GRDP shows no statistically significant direct effect. The regional minimum wage demonstrates a significant influence, though its direction varies based on model specifications. Notably, HDI emerges as a powerful factor that not only significantly reduces poverty but also amplifies the negative impact of population size on poverty levels. However, its moderating role on other economic variables remains statistically insignificant. These insights underscore the intricate nature of poverty in Indonesia and emphasize the critical need for inclusive, human-centered development policies to drive meaningful and sustainable poverty alleviation.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation and role of the Productive Waqf Incubation Program (IWP) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in developing nazhir entrepreneurship. The study is motivated by the large potential of waqf in Indonesia that has not yet been fully managed productively, since many waqf assets are still used for direct worship purposes and have not been directed toward sustainable socio-economic activities. This research aims to analyze the implementation of IWP, its role in strengthening the entrepreneurial capacity of nazhir, and its impact on local economic development and community welfare. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through observation of productive waqf practices, interviews with the Directorate of Zakat and Waqf Empowerment and nazhir who received the program, and documentation studies of regulations, reports, and related literature. The findings show that IWP is implemented through asset mapping, administrative and field verification, business feasibility assessment, nazhir training and certification, capital assistance distribution, mentoring, monitoring, evaluation, and business development. The program transforms nazhir from administrative managers into social entrepreneurship actors who are able to develop waqf assets productively, professionally, and accountably. This study concludes that IWP can serve as a sustainable productive waqf development model in Indonesia and can be replicated according to each region's local potential in a more adaptive, measurable, collaborative, inclusive, and public-benefit-oriented manner.
