Abstract

Adolescent mental health, particularly among santri  is a critical issue requiring serious attention. This community engagement initiative aimed to enhance mental health literacy at Pondok Buntet Pesantren using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, comprising three main phases: initial assessment, psychoeducation, and counseling guidance. Thirty-six participants completed pre- and post-test evaluations using standardized instruments, specifically the Satisfaction with Life Scale and the Mental Health Literacy Scale. The results indicated a significant increase in students' life satisfaction following the intervention. Although improvements in positive emotions and mental health literacy were not statistically significant, the observed positive trends suggest the program's effectiveness in deepening understanding, reducing stigma, and serving as a crucial preventive measure for maintaining students' mental well-being.

Abstract

The discourse on integrating Islamic values into Guidance and Counseling (BK) services at Madrasah Aliyah often encounters a structural dilemma: the transcendental vision is not accompanied by an adequate managerial system. The Islamic BK curriculum is adopted normatively, but it often remains symbolic and detached from the institution's policy architecture. This study aims to examine how the madrasah management system internalizes Islamic values into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of BK services. The research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study design at an Islamic-based Madrasah Aliyah. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and institutional document analysis. The results show that the integration of the Islamic BK curriculum is partial and lacks a systemic managerial strategy. The dominance of an administrative approach, weak leadership roles, and the absence of a value-based evaluation mechanism are the main factors hindering the internalization of Islamic values in BK services. This study recommends a reformulation of Islamic educational management policies that position BK services as a transformative, rather than merely procedural, instrument.

Abstract

This qualitative study examines educators' perceptions of the meaning of Broken Home and its impacts at SMA Negeri 1 Astanajapura Cirebon. Employing interviews and documentation studies with five teachers, the research reveals that Broken Home is perceived not merely as parental divorce, but encompasses broader family dysfunctions including disharmony, parental loss, and lack of affection. The observed educational impacts involve juvenile delinquency, learning disengagement, declining academic performance, social withdrawal, and intense jealousy. Consequently, the study underscores the necessity for a holistic Islamic guidance and counseling approach, prioritizing emotional support and spiritually-grounded interventions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of the role, problems, and strategies developed by BK teachers in facing challenges in schools located in Islamic boarding schools, especially in MANU Putri Buntet Pesantren. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were obtained through interviews, field observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that BK teachers face various internal and external problems, including limited facilities and infrastructure, negative perceptions of BK services, and gaps between counseling approaches and traditional Islamic boarding school values. In responding to these challenges, BK teachers develop collaborative strategies, Islamic value-based approaches, and service method innovations. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening the role of BK teachers in the context of Islamic boarding schools to create counseling services that are culturally, spiritually, and academically relevant. This study provides conceptual and practical contributions to the development of BK service models based on values ​​and local contexts.

Abstract

Kegelisahan akademik dalam penelitian ini berangkat dari lemahnya integrasi aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor dalam praktik pendidikan, khususnya pada konteks pendidikan Islam, yang seringkali masih fokus pada penguasaan pengetahuan semata. Akibatnya, proses pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya mampu menghasilkan peserta didik yang berkembang secara utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan antara konsep manajemen pendidikan Islam dengan upaya pengembangan peserta didik secara holistik melalui ketiga ranah perkembangan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan, dengan menelaah berbagai literatur klasik maupun kontemporer terkait teori perkembangan, manajemen pendidikan, serta kebijakan pendidikan nasional dan global. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pendidikan yang baik memberikan kontribusi langsung terhadap kualitas proses pembelajaran, khususnya dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang mengintegrasikan dimensi pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Pendidikan Islam memiliki potensi yang kuat dalam memperkuat ranah ketiga tersebut karena menempatkan aspek moral, spiritual, dan perilaku sebagai dasar pengembangan peserta didik. Kesimpulannya, integrasi ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor hanya dapat terwujud melalui manajemen pendidikan yang efektif, lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, serta peran guru yang konsisten sebagai fasilitator dan teladan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan holistik bukan hanya kebutuhan teoritis, tetapi juga tuntutan praktis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.
