Abstract

This research aimed to know the influence of PBL model to improve students learning activity and learning outcomes. The design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group by purposive sampling, so class X4 and X3 were choosen as research subjects. The quantitative data were obtained from the average value of test that were analyzed using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data were student learning activity, students response and involvement questionnaire, that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the learning activity average improved with good criteria (77.39). PBL could increased students learning outcomes with high criteria (71.04). Most of students responds gave positive to the using of PBL model. Thus, it can be concluded that learning using PBL model was influence to improve the student learning activity and learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model PBL dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretes-postes kelompok non ekuivalen dengan pusposive sampling, sehingga kelas X4 dan X3diambil sebagai subjek penelitian. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa, angket tanggapan serta keterlibatan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata aktivitas belajar meningkat dengan kriteria baik (77,39). Penggunaan model PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan kriteria tinggi (71,04). Sebagian besar siswa juga memberikan tanggapan positif dan keterlibatannya dalam penggunaan model PBL. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, lingkungan, model PBL

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the students creativity in using PjBL model. The research used type one-shot case study design. The sample of this research were X4 grade students of SMAN 1 Bandar Sribhawono. They were chose using purposive sampling technique. Qualitative data were obtained from rubric assessment, that were: students creativity, students product, and scoring questionnaire about other product and students comment about PjBL model. The result showed that most of the students creativity categorized as creative (64,96%) in planning including the aspect of making plan, interdicipline of knowledge and concept application, exploration and developing ideas of product designing, choosing the right materials, and using tools. Most of product was categorized as quite creative (54,11%) including the new aspects, unique, useful, correct, economic value and heuristic. So, PjBL model could improve the students creativity categorized as creative and quite creative product.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kreativitas siswa menggunakan model PjBL. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe one-shot case study. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X4 SMAN 1 Bandar Sribhawono, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui rubrik penilaian: kreativitas siswa, produk siswa, angket penilaian siswa terhadap produk lainnya dan angket tanggapan siswa terhadap model PjBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kreativitas siswa berkriteria kreatif (64,96%) dalam perencanaan meliputi aspek membuat perencanaan, interdisiplin ilmu dan aplikasi konsep, eksplorasi dan mengembangkan gagasan mendesain produk, memilih bahan yang tepat dan menggunakan alat. Rata-rata produk berkriteria cukup kreatif (54,11%) meliputi aspek baru, unik, berguna, benar, nilai ekonomi produk, dan heuristik. Dengan demikian, PjBL dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa yaitu berkriteria kreatif dan produk yang cukup kreatif.Kata kunci:daur ulang limbah, kreativitas, PjBL

Abstract

The research was conducted to know biology senior high school teachers’ability in planning and establishing assessment instrument in Pringsewu. The research design was simple descriptive design. The research involved 15 biology senior high school teachers. Data were collected in qualitative and quantitative data then they were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that (1) biology senior high school teachers had “high” ability on planning of assessment instrument, (2) biology senior high school teacher had “high” ability on establishing of assessment instrument, and (3) biology senior high school teacher had “low” ability on question item construction.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru biologi SMA Negeri di Kabupeten Pringsewu dalam merencanakan dan menyusun perangkat penilaian. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain deskriptif sederhana. Penelitian ini melibatkan 15 guru biologi SMA. Data dikumpulkan dalam bentuk data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Guru biologi SMAN Kabupaten Pringsewu dalam merencanakan instrumen penilaian memiliki kategori “tinggi”, (2) Guru biologi SMAN Kabupaten Pringsewu dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian memiliki kategori “tinggi”, dan (3) Guru biologi SMAN Kabupaten Pringsewu memiliki kemampuan “rendah” pada aspek konstruksi butir soal.Kata kunci : guru biologi, konstruksi soal, perangkat penilaian

Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out the effect of active learning on the improvement of students activity and their achievement. The design was non equivalence pre-test post test design. The research sample were students of class VIIA and VIIC that was selected by using purposive sampling. The quantitative data were the average score test, that was analyzed by t-test. The qualitative data was gotten by students activity that was analyzed descriptively. The result of students activity in experimental class was 76,40 with good criteria. The result of N-gain in experimental class was higher with 52.80. In line with this, the use of active learning has an effect on the improvement of students activity.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh Active Learning terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar kelas eksperimen (76,40) dengan kriteria baik. Hasil rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (52,80). Dengan demikian, penggunaan Active Learning berpengaruh terhadap aktivtitas dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: active learning, aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, pengelolaan lingkungan

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of picture cards media to activity and student learning result matter of Mushrooms. The samples were students of X MIA 1 and MIA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Negeri Besar chosen by Purposive Sampling technique. Design of this research was pre-test-post-test non equivalent. The quantitative data were obtained from student learning result were analyzed using t-test and u-test. The qualitative data consist of learning activities and student responses were analyzed descriptively. The result was cards media influenced significantly student learning result with average 80.80 of experiment class was higher than 65.00 control class. Therefore, learning using a picture cards media significantly influence in improvement of activity and student learning result in cognitive of matter Mushrooms. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kartu bergambar terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa materi pokok Jamur. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 1 dan MIA 2 di SMA Negeri 1 Negeri Besar yang dipilih dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini pretest-postest non equivalen. Data kuantatif diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa yang di analisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji u. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan dengan rata- rata nilai kelas eksperimen yaitu 80,80 lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol sebesar 65,00. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran menggunakan media kartu bergambar berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa materi Jamur.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, jamur, media kartu bergambar

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of PBL towards students creativity and written communication skill. The research used pretest-posttest non equivalent design. The samples were students of VII A and VII D SMP Kartika II-2 that were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The quantitative data were obtained from creative thinking skill (Process dimension) that analyzed by using T-test and U-test. The qualitative data was students creative thinking skill, creative attitude (Person and Press dimension), creative product (Product dimension), and written communication skill that analyzed descriptively.The result showed criteria of experiment students creativity was in "enough criteria includes Process dimension was "good", and both Press and Person dimension and Product dimension were "enough". Regression test's result showed that there was a positive relationship and influence between creativity dimensions. Students written communication skill was "enough". Therefore, PBL had influence on improving students creativity and written communication skill.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kreativitas dan keterampilan berkomunikasi tertulis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan desain pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII D SMP Kartika II-2, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa rata-rata nilai pretest, posttest, dan N-gain Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif (KBK) (dimensi Process) siswa yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa data KBK, sikap kreatif (dimensi Person dan Press), produk kreatif (dimensi Product), serta keterampilan berkomunikasi tertulis siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kreativitas siswa eksperimen berkriteria cukup, meliputi dimensi Process berkriteria baik, pada dimensi Person dan Press serta dimensi Product berkriteria cukup. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan pengaruh terhadap dimensi kreativitas. Keterampilan berkomunikasi tertulis siswa eksperimen berkriteria cukup. Sehingga PBL berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterampilan berkomunikasi tertulis siswa. Kata kunci: keterampilan berkomunikasi tertulis, kreativitas, PBL

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the matching strategy ndex cards on the activity and student learning outcomes at SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru Bandar lampung.The design was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent groups. Claster random sampling was used choosing class IV? andIV? as subjects. The results of an index card matching strategy is effective in improving student learning activities, asking question proposing,fact, collecting data, collaboration, and making conclusions. Obtained an average students learning activities have moderate criterion (71.94). Improvement of students learning outcomes (N-gain 67.42), the ability of students from each indicator with average of N-gain C2(68.9), C3(64.9) and C4(64.0). Questionnaire data showed that all students (100%) was pleased to learn the material with matching strategy index cards. It can be concluded that theuse of an index card matching strategy can improved learning outcomes and students learning activities natural resources subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pencocokan kartu indeks terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada siswa SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru Bandar lampung. Desain penelitian adalah desain pretes-postes kelompok non equivalen. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik claster random sampling,kelas IV?dan IV?sebagai subjek. Hasil penelitian penggunaan strategi pencocokan kartu indeks efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa, yaituaspek mengajukan pertanyaan, mengemukakan fakta, mengumpulkan data, bekerjasama, dan membuat kesimpulan. Diperoleh rata-rata keseluruhan aktivitas belajar siswa memiliki kriteria sedang(71,94).Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa (N-gain 67,42), kemampuan siswa dari tiap indikator denganrata-rata peningkatan N-gain C2(68,9), C3(64,9) dan C4(64,0).Data angket menunjukkan bahwa semua (100%) merasa senang mempelajari materi dengan strategi pencocokan kartu indeks. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan strategi pencocokan kartu indeks dapatmeningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi sumber daya alam.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, strategi pencocokan kartu indeks, sumber daya alam

Abstract

Based on interview with biology teacher in SMP N 22 Bandar Lampung, student’s critical thinking skill were not optimally developed. Alternative that can be used to improve student’s critical thinking is problem based learning (PBL) model. This experiment aims to find out the influence of PBLmodel towards improvement of student’s critical thinking skill. This is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample are students from VIIIA and VIII B  which selected from population by random sampling method. Quantitative data from the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain which statistically analyzed with Mann Whitney-U test. Qualitative data are student’s critical thinking skilldescription, learning activities and student’s response about applicating PBL model which descriptively analyzed. Result of this experiment showed that student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly in giving reason (18,34%) and giving solution (44,36%)whereas not in formulating problem, hypothesize and interpretating statement.The student’s learning activities in all observed aspects (78,49%).  Student’s learning activities improved in asking question (6,4%)and presenting group discussion result (16,45%) which are at high level. The students (86,25%)  also give positive response in PBL.  Keywords:  problem based learning model, critical thinking skill, human digestive system

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the influence of PBL model to activity and students learning outcomes on management of environment subject matter. The samples were class VII A and VII C SMP Negeri 1 Rebang Tangkas which were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research were pretest-postest non equivalent. Quantitative data were obtained from student learning outcomes which were analized by t-test and u-test with signification level of 5%. Qualitative data were learning activity which were analyzed descriptively. The result showed the percentage of student learning outcomes average in experiment class which was 82,69 was higher than control class that was 71,15. the learning outcomes which were obtained from N-Gain score in experiment class was 51,16 that was higher than control class that was 38,87. Based on the research it could be conduded that PBL model gave influence to activity and student learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap aktivitas danhasil belajar siswa pada materi pengelolaan lingkungan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelasVII A dan VII C SMP Negeri 1 Rebang Tangkas yang dipilih dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini pretest-postest non equivalen. Data kuantatif diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa yang di analisis menggunakan uji-t dan U pada taraf signifikasi 5%. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen (82,69) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (71,15), Hasil belajar yang diperoleh dari nilai N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen (51,16) juga lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas control (38, 87). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa, problem based learning
