Abstract

This research was aimed to know the influence ofpower pointteaching media towards students learning activities and conceptual understanding. Samples were VIIAand VIIB. The design of this research was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Quantitative data were obtained from the average of test scores that were analyzed using t-test and U-test. Qualitative data were students learning activities and questionnaire responses that analyzed descriptively. The result showed thatpower pointcan improved students learning activities with percentage 86,63%. Percentage of learning activities on cooperation team (96,53%), presentation discussion result (83,33%), asking question (88,19%), and making conclusion (78,47%). Conceptual understanding of students in experiment class were not significantlydifferent with control class,N-gainaverage was 15,89. In addition, most of the students (94%) gave positive responses towardspower point. Thus, usingpower pointwas good to improve students learning activities but not good to improve conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan mediapower pointterhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIIAdan VIIB.Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas siswa dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan mediapower pointdapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan rata-rata persentase 86,63%. Aktivitas bekerjasama dalam kelompok (96,53%), mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok (83,33%), mengajukan pertanyaan (88,19%), dan membuat kesimpulan (78,47%). Penguasaan konsep siswa kelas eksperimen tidak berbeda signifikan dengan penguasaan konsep siswa kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rataN-gain15,89. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (94%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan mediapower point.Dengan demikian, mediapower pointbaik untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar namun kurang baik untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, penguasaan konsep siswa,power point

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of problem based learning model to increase students critical thinking skill and students learning activity. The samples of this research were students of VIIC and VIID SMP Perintis 2 Bandar Lampung which were chosen by Purposive Sampling technique. The research used pretest-posttest non equivalent design. The quantitative data were the learning result that were analyzed by using U-Test. The qualitative data were the observation sheet of learning activity and student responses. The result showed the increasing of students critical thinking skill by N-gain average in expreriment class (47,22)was significantly different with class control (33,91). The increasing of the average of students learning activity of experiment class was high criteria. Therefore, problem based learning model can improved critical thinking skill and students activity on the material of environmental management.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIC dan VIID SMP Perintis 2 Bandar Lampung yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretest, posttest dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui lembar observasi aktivitas dan angket tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mengalami peningkatan dilihat dari rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 47,22 berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol 33,91. Rata-rata peningkatan aktivitas siswa pada semua aspek berkriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, berpikir kritis, problem based learning

Abstract

Based on observation and interview with biology teacher  students critical thinking skill were not optimally developed yet. The experiment aims to find out the influence of applying pictured card media through NHT cooperative learning model  towards improvement of students critical thinking skill. This  quasi experiment study used  pretest posttest group non equivalent designed. Sample in this experiment are students from X2 and X4  class which obtained from population by cluster random sampling tehnique. Quantitative data  was obtained from   pretest and posttest scores which statistically analyzed with t-test using SPSS version 17 in 95% confidence levels. Qualitative data are student’s learning activities and students responses about applying  pictured card media through cooperative learning model type NHT which descriptively analyzed. Result of this study showed that the average of students critical thinking skill  improve significantly ( eksperimen class="70",64 control = 33,44). The average of student learning activities percentage in all observed aspects in experimental class showed  increased significantly  (eksperimen = 81,69% kontrol = 67,51%). Abstract

This experiment was aimed to find out the improvement of students activity and learning outcome in global warming subject matter through active learning model. The design of this experiment was non equivalent pretest-posttest. The samples were sudents in VII3 and VII4 class which were chosen by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest, posttest, and N-gain score that was analyzed by t-test. The qualitative data were sudents learning activity that was analyzed descriptively. The result of this study showed that using active learning model can improved the study result (N-gain 65,36). Students learning activity in experimental class showed the average precentage of 77,08%, while in control class the average precentage of 54,46%. Thus, there was influence of active learning in improving the activity and student learning outcomes in global warming matter.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pemanasan global melalui model active learning. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-postest non ekuivalen. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII3 dan VII4yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the used of TTW learning model for improving activity and students conceptual understanding. Research design as was pretest and posttest non equivalent. The samples were X2 and X1 class which were selected by cluster random sampling. Data were qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data anylisis obtained from the value of pretest, posttest, and N-gain that were analyzed by using U-test. The quantitative data were a descriptive activity and student questionnaire responses. The research result showed that substitution information skill was that 93,0% and asking question skill lowest activity was 84,7%. Result of conceptual understanding had improvement average 53,17 but it was not significant. This TTW learning model not significantly improved conceptual understanding but improved learning activity.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan model pembelajaran TTW untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X2 dan X1 yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis data kualitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kuantitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas dan angket tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas bertukar informasi sebesar 93,0% dan aktivitas terendah kemampuan bertanya 84,7%. Hasil penguasaan konsep mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 53,17 namun tidak signifikan. Abstract

The purpose of research was to know the misconception of Biology on seventh grade students. The design was descriptive. Quantitative data were result of multiple choices test and essay that was analyzed by Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method. Qulitative data were the result of interview about misconception from science teachers. Samples thorough were VIII1 and VIII2 student that used simple random sampling. The result of research was 55% students misconception on all cocept in second semester. Misconception based on student CRI criteria answer was 13,28. With persentage of misconception that was 22,89% (low criteria). Misconception was dominanted in sub concept of ecosystem. Therefore, it can be concluded that concept of science that had frequently misconception was ecosystem.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui miskonsepsi materi IPA Biologi dan materi IPA yang paling banyak terjadi miskonsepsi pada siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan kajian deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari tes soal pilihan jamak dan esay yang di analisis dengan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Data kualitatif berupa hasil wawancara tentang miskonsepsi dengan guru pelajaran IPA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 dan VIII2 semester genap yang dipilih dari populasi secara simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang miskonsepsi mencapai 55% dari seluruh jumlah siswa. Miskonsepsi berdasarkan kriteria jawaban CRI yaitu 13,28 dengan persentase miskonsepsi siswa yaitu 22,89% (kriteria rendah). Miskonsepsi didominasi pada sub konsep satuan-satuan ekosistem. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa materi yang paling banyak terjadi miskonsepsi adalah ekosistem.Kata kunci : miskonsepsi, Certainty of Response Index, IPA Biologi

Abstract

This research aim was to understand the influence of 3D media anotrus toward improvement of students activities and learning outcomes. The research was conducted on SMPN 3 Tanjung Raja. Samples were students of VIIIA and VIIIB calss which were selected by purposive sampling technique. The research design was non-equivalent pre-test and post-test. Qualitative data were learning outcomes that were obtained from pretest and posttest that analyzed with u-test and t-test. Qualitative data were students activities of observation and students responses on 3D media anotrus that were obtained from descriptive analyzed of questionnaires. Results of the research showed that learning outcomes in experiment class was significantly different from data control class. The average percentage of students activities on experiment class showed higher improvement. Students also gave positive response to 3D media anotrus. Thus, 3D media anotrus influence significantly to improved students activities and learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media 3D Anotrus terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan di SMPN 3 Tanjung Raja. Sampel adalah siswa kelas VIIIA dan VIIIB yang dipilih dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretes postes tak equivalen. Data penelitian berupa Data kuantitatif yaitu hasil belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari pretes dan postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji u dan uji-t, Data kualitatif yaitu data aktivitas siswa yang diperoleh dari observasi dan tanggapan terhadap media 3D Anotrus diperoleh dari angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi. Siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap media 3D Anotrus. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media 3D Anotrus berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas, hasil belajar siswa, media 3D Anotrus

Abstract

This research was purposed to know the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to increase students critical thinking skill and students learning activity. The samples were students of VIIA and VIIB SMP Padjajaran Bandar Lampung chosen by Purposive Sampling technique. The research used pretest-posttest non equivalent design. Quantitative data were pretest, posttest, and N-gain averages which were analyzed by using T-Test and U-Test. Qualitative data were from students activity sheet and responses that were analyzed descriptively. The increasing of critical thinking skill with N-gain average (50,54) was significantly different with control class (34,40). Activity of inducting, deducting, and evaluating were in medium criteria, problem identificating was in high criteria, argument giving was in very high criteria. Therefore, PBL improved critical thinking skill and students activity on material of environmental management.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB SMP Padjajaran Bandar Lampung, dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif berupa rata-rata pretest, posttest dan N-Gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siwa kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain (50,54) berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (34,40). Aktivitas melakukan induksi, melakukan deduksi, dan melakukan evaluasi berkriteria sedang, merumuskan masalah berkriteria tinggi, memberi argumen berkriteria sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi pokok pengelolaan lingkungan.
