Abstract

The aim of this research was to figure out the effect of Problem based instruction toward self-efficacy and student learning outcomes. The design of the research was pretest and posttest non-equivalent. The samples were students in class VIIA and VIIE Junior High School 1 Seputih Mataram that were selected by purposive sampling. Data of learning outcomes were obtained from pretest, posttest, and N-gain that were analyzed by Anova One way test. Qualitative data were learning outcomes and student self-efficacythat analyzed descriptively. The result showed that learning outcomesof experiment class was Medium criteria (57,73). The improvement of student self-efficacy in performance achievement aspects shown by the experiment class was General criteria (68%). Therefore, it can be concluded that Problem Based Instruction improved learning outcomes and effected significantly to improve student self-efficacy.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model problem based instruction terhadap self-efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIESMPN 1 Seputih Mataram yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.Data hasil belajar diperoleh daripretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis dengan uji Anova.Data kualitatif berupa self-efficacydiperoleh dari angket self-efficacy siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen berkriteria sedang (57,73). Peningkatan self-efficacydalam aspek pencapaian kinerja yang diamati pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria pada umumnya (68%).Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa problem based instructionmeningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan berpengaruh terhadap self-efficacy siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, self-efficacy, problem based instruction

Abstract

Base observation already being done at SMP Perintis 1 Bandar Lampung, method that utilized by teacher in learning still to methodic discourse.  Predicted it that becomes its low causal factor the result of student biological learning on microscopes subject material. Preconceived method can increase the result of student learning is by applying combination demonstration method and media realia.  Sample in observational is students at VII B as class of experiment and VII C  as class of control.  Sample establishment with cluster random's tech sampling.  On experiment class by learning with combination methodics demonstration and media realia, and on class control to utilize discussion method.  Observational Design is utilized pretest-posttest equivalen  design.  Data in observational is quantitative data and qualitative data.  Acquired quantitative data of cognitive data student as mastery of concept that took by gives pretest and posttest. Qualitative data is gotten of psikomotor data student that taking to utilize performance test.  Analysis data utilizes to t-test on trusty level 95% by use of program SPSS 17.  The Result of observationaling showed that implement combination of methodics demonstration and media realia is significantly affect to the result of student learning on microscope subject material. Increasing happening on the result of student learning at experiment class with averagely N-gain 51,86.  Averagely N-gain on experiment class higher than averagely N-gain on control class, so gets declared for that student concept mastery on microscopes subject material which utilize demonstration method with media realia highest than in comparison with discussion method.  Known average percentage psikomotorik student on experiment class highest than at 61,59% compare to 36,14% in control class that utilize to methodic discussion. Abstract

The research was aim to identify students misconceptions of science concept on seventh grade in second. Descriptive research. Samples were taken by simple random sampling that was 64 students. The quantitative data were from the test results of UN (2014-2015), pissa (2006) and TIMS (1999-2011). The qualitative data interviews of students' responses to science material of. The data analysis was conducted by CRI.The identification results misconceptions at 16, 76% 25 questions, 20 multiple choice and 5 reasoned essays. The results identification of students misconception was 26, 19% lower criteria. Material Science of the most common misconceptions ecosystem materi sub concept of interdependence between biotic components with highest. Percentage among other is 37.5% in the low criteria. It can be concluded that students who do not know the concept and had misconception was low criteria.Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi materi IPA semester genap pada siswa kelas VII. Penelitian deskriptif sederhana. Sampel diambil dengan simple Random Sampling jumlah 64 siswa. Data kuantitatif di peroleh dari hasil tes soal UN(2014-2015), PISSA (2006) dan TIMS (1999-2011). Data kualitatif dari wawancara tanggapan siswa terhadap materi IPA semester genap kelas VII. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode CRI. Hasil identifikasi miskonsepsi yaitu 16,76% 25 soal, 20 pilihan jamak beralasan dan 5 esay. Hasil identifikasi miskonsepsi siswa 26,19% kriteria rendah. Materi IPA paling banyak terjadi miskonsepsi pada siswa ekosistem sub konsep saling ketergantungan antara komponen biotik. Persentase paling tinggi adalah 37,50% dalam kriteria rendah. Demikian dapat disimpulkan siswa yang tidak tahu konsep, mengalami miskonsepsi berkriteria rendah. Kata kunci: Certainly of Response Index (CRI), materi IPA, miskonsepsi

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the use of school environment as a learning resource to enhance students learning activities and conceptual understanding. The research design was pretest-posttest non equivalent. The samples were VIIB dan VIIC class that selected by purposive sampling. The quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest, posttest, and N-gain. Quantitative data were activities description and student questionaire responses that analyzed using U test. The results showed that the use of school environment as a learning resource for improving student learning activities has with high interpretations. Student conceptual understanding also increased with average of  N-gain 57,90. Thus, school environment as learning resources was effective to improve students learning activity and conceptual understanding.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIIB dan VIIC yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas dan angket tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian dengan memanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa menunjukkan  interpretasi tinggi. Penguasaan konsep oleh siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain 57,90. Sehingga pembelajaran menggunakan pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar efektif untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, lingkungan sebagai, penguasaan konsep, sumber belajar

Abstract

The research was aimed to find the influence of internet accessing intensity to learning achievement in ecosystem concept. The samples were students of SMA Persada with saturated sampling technique. The qualitative data was intensity of accessing internet were obtained from questionnaire. Both of data were examined by normality data test and simly linier regression test then analyzed statistics used SPSS program 17 version. The result showed that average of student having the intensity of accessing internet was high with the learning achievement which was medium (47,2%), with R2(0,29) meaning that the students succes of learning biology achievement determined by the intensity of accessing internet which was 29% whereas 71% explained by another factor or variable. So, the intensity of accessing internet affected the increasing of students learning achievement in ecosystem consept. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara intensitas mengakses internet terhadap hasil belajar pada konsep ekosistem, objek yang digunakan seluruh siswa kelas X di SMA Persada dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Data kuantitatif berupa skor hasil belajar aspek kognitif siswa yang diperoleh dari nilai tes. Data kualitatif berupa intensitas mengakes internet diperoleh dari angket. Kedua data diuji dengan uji normalitas data dan uji regresi linier sederhana kemudian dianalisis secara statistik dengan program SPSS versi 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata siswa memiliki intensitas mengakses internet tinggi dengan hasil belajar sedang (47,2 %), dengan R (0,29) diartikan bahwa keberhasilan siswa dalam pencapaian hasil belajar biologi ditentukan oleh intensitas mengakses internet sebesar (29%), sedangkan sisanya 71% dijelaskan oleh faktor atau variabel lain. Dengan demikian, intensitas mengakses internet berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Ekosistem.Kata Kunci: ekosistem, hasil belajar, intensitas mengakses internet

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of learning outcomes and student activity by using word square worksheets through a video on the subject of the ecosystem. Samples were students in the class X1 and X2 SMAN 1 Talangpadang which were selected by purposive sampling and the design of research is pretest posttest non-equivalent groups. The type of data in this research is quantitative data in the form of learning outcome data were analyzed using t-test and u-test, qualitative data in the form of learning activity data and response data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed student learning outcomes improved significantly with an average score of N-a gain of 50.25% was obtained from indicators of cognitive domains, namely C2 and C3 supported by student activity data with an average percentage of 79.81% in good criteria and positive responses from students. So it can be concluded that the use of the word square worksheets can affect learning outcomes and student activities significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan LKS word square melalui video pada materi ekosistem. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2SMAN 1 Talangpadang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dan desain penelitian pretes postes kelompok non-ekuivalen. Jenis data penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif berupa data hasil belajar yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-u, data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar dan data tanggapan yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian hasil belajar siswa meningkat secara signifikan dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 50,25% didapatkan dari indikator ranah kognitif yaitu C2 dan C3 didukung data aktivitas siswa dengan presentase rata-rata 79,81% yang berkriteria baik dan tanggapan positif siswa. Maka dapat disimpulkan penggunaan LKS word square dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa secara signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, LKS word square melalui video

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the effect of Discovery Learning toward critical thinking skill. The research used pretest-posttest non-equivalen design with class VIIA and VIIB as the samples which were selected by purposive sampling. The quantitative data, critical thinking skill, was obtained from the average score of the pretest and posttest and N-gain which were analyzed by t-test and u-test. The qualitative data, critical thinking skill, was obtained from observation sheet and was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students critical thinking skill had improved with the average N-gain score of the experimental class, 62.80 was different significantly from the control class, 27.49. The activity of giving basic explanation, building basic skill, making further explanation, and concluding had Very High criteria. Thus, Discovery Learning Model improved the critical thinking skill in learning. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP Perintis 2 Bandar Lampung. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen dengan sampel siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa kemampuan berpikir kritis diperoleh dengan nilai pretest, posttest dan N-gain, diuji menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa kemampuan berpikir kritis diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 62,80 berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (27,49). Aktivitas memberikan penjelasan dasar, membangun keterampilan dasar, membuat penjelasan lanjut, dan menyimpulkan berkriteria Sangat Tinggi. Sehingga, pembelajaran menggunakan model Discovery Learning berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kata kunci : discovery learning, kemampuan berpikir kritis, pengaruh model

Abstract

The qualitative data and student self-efficacy that analyzed descriptively. The result showed that learning outccomes of experiment class was mediumcriteria (57,21) and control class was medium criteria (31,87). The improvement of student self-efficacy in aspect of performance achievement shown by the experiment class was general criteria (75,88%). Therefore, it can be concluded that Problem Based Instruction improved learning outcomes and effected student self-efficacy.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model problem based instruction terhadap self-efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIC dan VIID SMPN 2 Seputih Mataram yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar diperoleh dari nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji Anova pada taraf kepercayaan 5%. Data kualitatif self-efficacy siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen berkriteria sedang (57,21) dan kelas kontrol berkriteria sedang (31,87). Peningkatan self-efficacy pada aspek pencapaian kinerja pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria pada umumnya (75,88%). Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa problem based instruction meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan berpengaruh terhadap self-efficacy siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, problem based instruction, self-efficacy

Abstract

Based on observationin SMAN 3 Kotabumi, student’s critical thinking skill were not optimally developed. Alternative that can be used is picture card media through STAD learning model. This experiment aims to know the improvement of student’s critical thinking skill. This is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample are students from X3 and X4which selected from population by cluster random sampling method. Quantitative data from the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain which statistically analyzed with t-test using SPSS 17. Qualitative data are student’s critical thinking skill description, learning activities and student’s response about using picture card through STAD model which descriptively analyzed. Result of this experiment showed that student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly in giving reason (48,07%), reconstructing argument (54,28%) and looking for similarity and difference (42,73%). The student’s learning activities in all observed aspects is improved.  Student’s activities in teamwork (89,22%), doing discussion (86,27%) and presenting group discussion result (84,31%). The students also give positive response about usingpicture card through STAD model. So, student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly by using picture card through STAD learning model.   Keywords:  picture card media, STAD learning model, critical thinking skill, Protista

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe the teachers profile in the implementation of science learning based on curriculum 2013 of Junior High School in Bandar Lampung. There were 6 teachers samples taken from purposive sampling. Research data were qualitative data, consist of descriptions of implementation process of learning by the teachers. The observations sheets of the learning implementation were analyzed descriptively by comparing the standard processes and scientific approach. The results showed that the implementation of science teaching by teachers at class VII SMP in Bandar Lampung was in accordance with the standards process with average score of 66,41% in medium category and suitable with the scientific approach with average score of 53,33% in medium category. It could be concluded that the implementation of learning science based curriculum 2013 at the Junior High School in Bandar Lampung was in medium category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 di SMP Negeri di Bandar Lampung. Metode sampling yang digunakan secara purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh 6 guru. Data penelitian adalah data kualitatif, berupa deskripsi proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran oleh guru. Data diperoleh dari lembar instrumen pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan membandingkan dengan standar proses dan pendekatan saintifik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA oleh guru kelas VII SMP Negeri di Bandar Lampung telah sesuai dengan standar proses dengan skor rata-rata 66,41% berkategori sedang dan sesuai dengan pendekatan saintifik dengan skor rata-rata 53,33% berkategori sedang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 di SMP Negeri di Bandar Lampung berkategori sedang.Kata kunci: kurikulum 2013, pembelajaran IPA, standar proses, pendekatan saintifik
