Abstract

Biodiesel production using novel glycerol and potassium carbonate-based catalysts has not been developed under the Taguchi technique. This study aims to determine the most influential parameter in biodiesel production from refined bleach-deodorized palm oil (RBDPO) using DES K2CO3-Glycerol as the novel catalyst. The raw material was subjected to transesterification at the desired reaction parameters estimated by the orthogonal 16-run (L16) approach with 2 levels and 4 factors of the Taguchi technique. Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and ANOVA were used to confirm the predicted value. From the results, the catalyst is the most influential variable in the TG value of biodiesel, placed in the first rank of the influence factor. Biodiesel production with a minimum total glycerol value (0.210%) using DES K2CO3-Glycerol as a catalyst is most optimally produced at 95 °C for 4 h and 400 rpm using 30 wt% methanol and 4 wt% catalysts achieved by the Taguchi technique. Abstract

Proses produksi di PT Sri Trang Lingga Indonesia berasal dari bahan baku sampai ke proses pengeringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui defect atau kecacatan produksi karet pada saat dry process dengan metode six-sigma pada PT. Sri Trang Lingga Indonesia (SLI). Six-sigma adalah suatu metode teknik pengendalian dan peningkatan kualitas pada suatu perusahaan. Metode Six Sigma bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kinerja, menemukan dan mengurangi faktor-faktor penyebab kecacatan dan kesalahan, mengurangi biaya operasi serta meningkatkan produktivitas, sehingga diharapkan perusahaan dapat mengurangi jumlah produk cacat yang dihasilkan dengan jumlah yang cukup signifikan.Hasil yang dihasilkan dengan metode six-sigma dapat diketahui nilai DPMO, sigma atau kapasitas produksi dan kemampuan produksi (Yield) pada saat dry process yaitu nilai DPMO sebesar 300 kemungkinan cacat atau rusak untuk sejuta kali proses produksi atau 30,0 % Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), nilai sigma atau kapasitas produksi sebesar 4,92 dan nilai kemampuan produksi (Yield) sebesar 99,89 %. Persentase dari reject tersebut adalah Reject white spot 55 %, dirty 24 % dan lengket di trolley 21 %

Abstract

Perkembangan produk AMDK (Air Minum Dalam Kemasan) sangat mengalami kemajuan. Konsumsi Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK) di Indonesia dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini mengalami peningkatan. PT XYZ membuat plastik thermoformed yang dibuat khusus untuk air minum dalam kemasan. Beberapa faktor, termasuk kualitas kertas yang digunakan, serta faktor manusia dan mesin yang terlibat dalam proses. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis defect pada proses thermoforming round dringking cups dan mengevaluasi proses produksi thermoforming cup  dengan menggunakan metode Statistical Quality Control. Dari hasil pengendalian yang dilakukan menggunakan statistical quality control seven tools didapatlah penurunan defect 0,26%. Hal ini menandakan bahwa terjadi perbaikan atas defect yang terjadi sehingga dapat membuat penurunan atas defect pada cup thermoforming

Abstract

Pemilihan supplier merupakan masalah multi kriteria yang meliputi faktor-faktor kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang memerlukan metode yang dapat menyertakan keduanya dalam pengukuran. Salah satu metode yang bisa digunakan untuk pemilihan supplier adalah metode AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). Penelitian kali ini dilakukan pada perusahaan kontraktor (PT. Perkasa Sejahtera). Peningkatan produktivitas proyek konstruksi adalah dengan pemilihan supplier yang optimal. Terdapat 3 supplier yang dipilih berdasarkan kualitasnya, harga, layanan dan pengiriman. Dari hasil perhitungan berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria dan subkriteria dalam pemilihan supplier, supplier X dinilai sebagai supplier terbaik dengan nilai bobot 0,436. Selanjutnya adalah supplier Y dengan nilai bobot 0,422 dan supplier Z dengan nilai bobot 0,136.

Abstract

Selama ini bengkel cahaya ilahi belum mempunyai sistem perawatan sehingga membutuhkan waktu untuk mencari sumber masalah yang menjadi penyebab berkurangnya tekanan pada mesin press. Penelitian ini membahas tentang identifikasi perawatan mesin hidrolik dengan menerapkan metode Failure Mode And Effect (FMEA) dan metode Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) sebagai pelengkap dalam penelitian ini. Karna dalam operasionalnya mesin sering mengalami kendala kurangnya tenaga pada mesin press, kebocoran oli, bahkan mesin tidak berfungsi. Kerusakan tersebut mengurangi keandalan mesin, dan menghambat proses operasional. Selain itu yang sering mrnjadi penyebab terjadinya kerusakan dikarenakan perawatan atau maintenace yang kurang tepat sasaran dan juga dikarenakan belum adanya tindakan pencegahan dari kerusakan yang terjadi dan terus berulang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis yang bertujuan menganalisadan mengevaluasi risiko terhadap kegagalan dalam tindakan perawatan. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan Metode Fault Tree Analysis dapat digunakan untuk menganalisa kegagalan sistem dari gabungan beberapa sub-sistem dan level yang dibawahnya dan juga kegagalan komponen.

Abstract

PT XYZ Pallembalng merupalkaln sallalh saltu palbrik kalret yalng mengelolal kalret beku yalng aldal di Sumalteral Selaltaln. Sallalh saltu mesin yalng memiliki kerusalkaln relaltif tinggi dibalndingkaln mesin lalinnyal aldallalh mesin penggiling kalret yalng merupalkaln sallalh saltu mesin utama yalng mendukungl keseluruhaln proses produksi. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah menurunnya produktivitas produksi sebesar 30 % selama 5 bulan terakhir di karenakan kurangnya sistem perawatan yang baik. Selain itu, selama 3 bulan terakhir pergantian alat pada mesin penggiling karet terjadi sebanyak 6 kali. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis efektivitas kinerja mesin penggiling karet dengan menggunakan metode overall equipment efeectiveness (OEE) dan metode life cycle cost (LCC). Dalri halsil perhitungaln metode overalll equipment effectiveness (OEE) diperoleh nilali raltal-raltal 80,00 %, untuk periode Jalnualri-September 2022 yang mana nilai tersebut malsih dibalwalh stalndalr ideall. Proses produksi yang lambat disebabkan oleh downtime mesin produksi dan proses maintenance pada mesin. Kenaikan maintenance cost di tahun ke-10 mengalami kenaikan 26%.

Abstract

Indonesia is experiencing an economic revival marked by rising consumption of goods and services, particularly in the food industry sector, which reached 1,542,410 units (48.3%), highlighting its crucial role in the national economy. However, Micro and Small Industries (IMK) still face challenges such as limited capital, resources, and suboptimal digital marketing strategies. This study aims to determine the most effective digital marketing strategy priorities to enhance IMK competitiveness. Data were obtained from BPS (2021) and interviews with business actors in Palembang, using the K-Means clustering method for innovation segmentation and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) for strategy selection. The results show that Java Island achieved the highest innovation score (11,692), dominated by marketing and distribution (6,265) and product innovation (4,440). The KBLI 10–22 sector excelled with a score of 6,336, while ANOVA testing (Sig. = 0.000) indicated significant differences between clusters, with marketing emerging as the dominant factor (F = 116.544). The descriptive application criterion (0.413) and social media platform (0.7) were identified as the most effective strategies. This study concludes that digital innovation and interactive descriptive content play key roles in improving IMK marketing performance and contribute to strengthening regional innovation literature and technology-based digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Clinical chemistry reagents are important components in supporting the smooth running of medical laboratory examinations. Timely availability of these reagents significantly affects the speed and accuracy of diagnoses. Meanwhile, at Siti Fatimah Hospital, reagent management faces challenges due to fluctuations in demand and delays in procurement, potentially hindering services and leading to patient referrals to external facilities. For this reason, a more accurate planning strategy is needed. One of them is through the application of the Production and Operations Management (POM) principle, which can increase efficiency in managing Safety stock based on historical data. This study aims to develop a forecasting model for the need for Creatinine, blood urea, and alkaline phosphatase reagents. Then, design an optimal Safety stock plan to anticipate demand uncertainty.This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were processed using QM for Windows software to obtain time series forecasting results and Safety stock calculations. The results of the analysis showed that the linear trend method was the best forecasting method for the need for Creatinine and blood urea reagents. For alkaline phosphatase, the best method is Exponential Smoothing With Trend. Then, in the calculation of Safety stock, the assumption of a service level of 95% produces reserves of 99.56 mL for Creatinine, 87.85 mL for blood urea, and 3.80 mL for alkaline phosphatase. This method proves effective in ensuring optimal reagent availability and minimizing stockout risks.

Abstract

The immune system is an important factor in human health. High immunity will prevent attacks from various diseases. However, with various activities, poor eating patterns, unhealthy lifestyles, and the environment, the immune system in humans will decrease. This motivates researchers in the field of health and humanity to produce immunomodulators. In this community service activity, immunomodulators are produced by utilizing bovine colostrum to produce Socio Imun immunomodulator drinks. For 1 production using 1 kg of cow colostrum and other additives, 100 bottles of 250 ml of immunomodulator will be produced. From the results of this activity, people can consume immunomodulators as an immune booster. By increasing the body's immune system, the risk of disease symptoms in the community can be reduced.

Abstract

The use of eucalyptus pelitta (EP) biomass waste and empty fruit bunch of oil palm(EFB) as raw materials for bio-oil is expected to overcome the existing solid waste problems, reduce pollution due to air pollution, and can produce gas and bio-oil which have potential. as new and renewable energy. This study aims to determine the effect of the type of raw material and temperature regulation on the results of pyrolysis products and the characteristics of the resulting bio-oil. The set temperatures used were 300C, 350C, 400C, 450C, and 500C with the raw materials being Eucalyptus pellita (EP) bark biomass and empty fruit bunches of oil palm (EFB). Pyrolysis that occurs with the equipment configuration used a heating rate of 7-14C/minute, where the main reaction of pyrolysis occurs at a temperature of 150C to 270C so that the set temperature does not have a large effect on the yield or characteristics of bio-oil. EP pyrolysis produced an average bio-oil yield of 41.64%, while EFB pyrolysis produced an average bio-oil yield of 46.72%. Bio-oil produced by pyrolysis of EP has a characteristic average value for density of 1.062362 gr/mL, viscosity of 2.1749 cP, and pH 2-3. Meanwhile, bio-oil produced by pyrolysis of EFB has a characteristic average value for density of 1.043146 gr/mL, viscosity of 1.3582 cP, and pH 3-4. EP bio-oil has a composition of C7-C10 carbon, while EFB bio-oil has a composition of C6-C19 carbon.
