Palembang: Unsri Press.Mosquitoes have a beneficial role for the ecosystem, such as food chain and its role is detrimental to its host as a vector. An appropriate morphology identification can be useful to determine the character and number of species to provide an overview of diversity in some areas as an effort in preventing and controlling the distribution of mosquitoes in the areas or geography. This study aims to identify the types of mosquitoes and to determine the distribution pattern or distribution of mosquito species based on adult mosquitos’ morphology in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sriwijaya University Campus, Indralaya. This research has conducted from January until March 2019 at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sriwijaya University Campus, Indralaya and identification is done at Entomology Laboratory, Baturaja Health Research and Development Center, South Sumatra. The  Human Landing Collection technique is used to catch mosquitoes that land on the collector’s body. The collector is left in an open space for 12 hour  (06.00 pm until 06.00 am) with 40 minutes catch interval and  rest for 10 minute. This research was carried out with several steps, start from sampling, capturing and collecting species, mosquito preservation (pinning), mosquito identification, and data analysis.  The results are presented in table form by analysis of Shannon-Weinner. The results showed there are species such as Armigeres subalbatus,  Aedes albopictus, Mansonia annulata, Anopheles letifer, Culex vishnui, Culex gellidus, Culex quinquefasciatus, and Culex tritaeniorhynchus.  Then the value of diversity (H ') is obtained at each location from the highest to the lowest sequentially from 3,2,4, and 1 location with values of 0.95, 0.90, 0.82, and 0.34 which symbolized as H' < 1, shows that the diversity of species in a community is low.Keywords: characteristic, distribution  pattern, human landing collection, identification, pinning

Abstract

Abstract: Mranggen Hamlet is a hamlet located in Wangunsari Village, Sawangan District, Magelang Regency. The majority of the population in this village are elderly and elderly who have health problems in the form of degenerative diseases, some of which have experienced complications. In this hamlet, posbindu has only been established and has only been routinely active for the last 1 month. It is hoped that with community service activities, public awareness related to a healthy lifestyle and prevention of worsening of degenerative diseases will improve. The program carried out in this service activity is the strengthening of posbindu and increasing understanding of the community regarding degenerative diseases, their prevention, maintenance and complications that can be experienced by these diseases and efforts to minimize complications with a healthy lifestyle. This activity was carried out by means of counseling to small groups of people consisting of housewives and posbindu administrators. The counseling target takes a target that plays a very important role in the community, namely housewives and posbindu officers. It is hoped that the increased knowledge and understanding of degenerative diseases on both sides will make it easier to realize behavioral changes in the future. The results of the counseling that we carried out received very good enthusiasm from the residents and increased understanding from the community.            Keywords: degenerative disease; elderly; posbindu Abstrak: Dusun Mranggen merupakan dusun yang berada Desa Wangunsari Kecamatan Sawangan Kabupaten Magelang. Mayoritas penduduk di desa ini adalah lansia dan pralansia yang memiliki permasalahan kesehatan berupa penyakit degeneratif yang beberapa telah     mengalami komplikasi. Di Dusun ini baru dibentuk posbindu dan baru aktif secara rutin 1 bulan terakhir. Diharapkan dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  kesadaran masyarakat terkait pola hidup yang sehat dan pencegahan terjadinya perburukan dari penyakit degeneratif membaik. Program yang dijalankan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah penguatan posbindu serta peningkatan pemahaman kepada masyarakat terkait penyakit degeneratif, pencegahannya, pemeliharaan serta komplikasi yang bisa dialami oleh penyakit tersebut dan upaya memini-malkan komplikasi dengan pola hidup sehat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode penyuluhan kepada kelompok-kelompok kecil masyarakat yang terdiri dari ibu rumah tangga dan pengurus posbindu. Target penyuluhan mengambil sasaran yang berperan sangat penting dalam masyarakat yaitu ibu rumah tanggga dan petugas posbindu. Diharapkan dengan meningkatnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang penyakit degeneratif di kedua pihak akan mempermudah dalam mewujudkan perubahan perilaku kedepannya. Hasil dari penyuluhan yang  kami laksanakan mendapatkan antusiasme warga yang sangat baik dan peningkatan pemahaman dari masyarakat.Kata kunci: lansia; penyakit degeneratif; posbindu

Abstract

Stunting is a public health issue that can adversely affect children's growth and future prospects. Stunting poses a threat to the achievement of the second global Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). One effort to address this problem is by providing knowledge to the community about stunting. This effort can be pursued through activities such as stunting seminars. A seminar was held in Kedungjambe Village on November 20, 2024, with the theme "United Against Stunting: Realizing a Golden Generation." The methods employed included observation, solution formulation and planning, implementation, and evaluation. The outcome of this community engagement activity showed high enthusiasm among seminar participants regarding stunting issues, accompanied by a solid understanding of the material presented.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to enhance the brand awareness and market competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kedungjambe Village through digital marketing strategies. The study addresses the primary issue of limited consumer visibility, which hinders MSME growth. Training sessions were conducted to optimize the use of WhatsApp Business for effective customer communication and the Shopee e- commerce platform to expand market reach. MSME participants were guided in creating engaging promotional content, utilizing WhatsApp's broadcast features for direct interactions, and managing online stores on Shopee, including product descriptions, inventory, and sales analytics. Practical simulations on Shopee's features were provided to strengthen participants' understanding of e-commerce as a strategic sales channel. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales performance among participating MSMEs. This initiative highlights the effectiveness of leveraging digital platforms like WhatsApp Business and Shopee to enhance MSME competitiveness, offering a sustainable model for rural business development.

Abstract

The era of globalization and digitalization brings new challenges in shaping the morals of the younger generation, such as the degradation of ethical values and the prevalence of unethical behavior in cyberspace. Character education is a strategic solution to build a generation with integrity and ethics. This study employs a literature review method with a systematic analysis of various scholarly sources related to character education from 2014 to 2024. The findings indicate that character education based on holistic values, such as wisdom, courage, and justice, has a positive impact on ethical behavior, academic achievement, and students' social interactions. The main challenges lie in the consistency of program implementation, the limited competencies of educators, and the lack of synergy among stakeholders. Moreover, the digital era demands character education integrating digital ethics to equip the younger generation with critical thinking skills and responsible media use. Through a collaborative approach, teacher training, and the development of relevant curricula, character education can create a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also morally mature.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to develop creativity and empower women in Karya Mukti Village as an effort to revive the village's potential through ecoprint tablecloth training. Ecoprint is a fabric dyeing technique that uses natural materials such as leaves and flowers, which is not only environmentally friendly but also capable of producing high artistic value products. Through this training, it is expected that participants can improve their skills, creativity, environmental awareness, and the local economic potential of the community. The methods used in this community service include socialization, demonstration, direct practice, and result evaluation. The training results show that the participating women were able to produce ecoprint products with unique motifs in the form of tablecloths, which have high aesthetic value and the potential to serve as an effort to empower the community’s economy.
