Abstract

Rural development becomes important as an effort to minimize disparitiesbetween regions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic potentialin rural areas and design policies in Banyuwangi Regency, especially in thesouthern part. The method used to analyze data is Location Quotient (LQ)analysis. Sampling data taken in 10 districts in Banyuwangi Regency. TheBanyuwangi Regency was chosen because it was included in the largest foodgranary in East Java. The analysis shows that each sub-district has a superiorsector each, namely certain commodities that have a competitive advantagecompared to other districts.

Abstract

Bonus demografi diharapkan mendukung adanya revolusi industri 4.0 dengan ditemukannya inovasi baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan signifikan antara bonus demografi dan revolusi industri 4.0 di Indonesia baik itu hubungan satu arah, hubungan timbal balik atau bahkan tak ada hubungan. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode analisis kausalitas granger. Menggunakan data rasio ketergantungan dan pengguna internet tahun 1995 hingga 2019. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel rasio ketergantungan mempunyai hubungan kausalitas satu arah yang signifikan dengan pengguna internet.

Abstract

International migration by Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) not only has a positive impact on improving the economic conditions of PMI families but also contributes to developing the country's economy through PMI remittances. This study aims to determine the effect of Unemployment, minimum wages, poverty, and human development index on international migration of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) on the island of Java. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data, with time-series data (2010 - 2019) and cross-section data (6 provinces on Java island). The data analysis method uses a panel data regression with the Common Effect Model (CEM) approach. Statistical tests use simultaneous tests, partial tests, and the coefficient of determination. This study uses the classic assumption test, the multicollinearity test, the heteroscedasticity test, and the normality test. The study results concluded that simultaneously Unemployment, minimum wages, poverty, and the human development index had a significant effect on international migration. Partially, Unemployment and poverty have a positive and significant impact, minimum wages have a negative and significant effect, while the human development index has a positive and not significant effect on international migration.

Abstract

Village development can be achieved if it is balanced with an increase in the quality of human resources for village officials who are qualified and visionary. One of the villages in Bondowoso Regency, namely Pakisan Village, Tlogosari District, has the potential for natural and economic resources that have not been managed properly so that the village is not yet advanced and independent. One of the obstacles that has made Pakisan Village, Tlogosari Subdistrict, not yet advanced and independent is the not yet optimal village development planning system built by village officials. This causes natural and economic potential not to be managed properly. One of the things that is done to realize village development planning is the quality of human resources for village officials who must have a professional and visionary attitude. In reality, there are still many village governments that still have low professionalism and a lack of innovation and creativity. So that the management of village potential is still not optimal. Village potential in Pakisan Village, Tlogosari District, Bondowoso Regency is the strength and capability of the village which can provide benefits if managed properly to improve the welfare of the local community. Support for developing and increasing the capacity of village officials in government management in Pakisan Village, Tlogosari District, Bondowoso Regency also comes from universities, in this case the University of Jember, especially the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M). One form of this support is to provide assistance and hold training and discussions as a means to increase the capacity of village apparatus in Pakisan Village, Tlogosari District, Bondowoso Regency who are professional, creative and innovative.

Abstract

Kemiskinan menjadi masalah di Indonesia yang belum bisa terselesaikan, karena kompleksnya masalah penyebab kemiskinan, maka masalah kemiskinan menjadi topik yang menarik untuk diteliti. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas sumber daya manusia, pengangguran dan pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap kemiskinan di Jawa Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research yang merupakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variabel kualitas sumber daya manusia, pengangguran dan pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap kemiskinan di Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data panel dengan pendekatan Random Effect dan dikaitkan dengan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap Kemiskinan di Jawa Timur, Pengangguran berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Kemiskinan di Jawa Timur dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Kemiskinan di Jawa Timur.

Abstract

Tourism is positioned as a crucial means of introducing culture and natural beauty in Indonesia. Currently, the tourism sector is considered to have an effective role in increasing the country's foreign exchange. The tourism sector is able to revive and prosper the economy of the surrounding community. This research was conducted in Alas Purwo National Park, Banyuwangi Regency. The purpose of this study was to find out how the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the socioeconomic conditions of business actors in Alas Purwo National Park. This research is a type of descriptive research using qualitative methods. Sources of data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data obtained through observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Collecting information in this study using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data were analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study can be concluded that during the Covid-19 pandemic, it had an impact on the social conditions of business actors related to income levels and changes in types of work. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the income level of business actors decreased, and there was a change in the type of work from entrepreneurship to being farmers, ranchers, and even unemployment.

Abstract

The high rate of population growth is a serious obstacle for Indonesia so that success in carrying out development needs to be increased in high quantity so that it can support the rate of growth in the economy. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of socio-economic factors on fertility levels in East Java Province. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from BPS and browsing internet websites as a support. The unit of analysis in this study is the effect of social economic factors on fertility levels. Fertility level is a driving variable and variables from social factors (poverty, health, education, employment, per capita income) in 2014-2018 are independent variables. While the method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that poverty no significant positive effect on fertility in East Java. Health has no significant positive effect on fertility in East Java. Education has a significant negative effect on fertility in East Java. Employment has a significant negative effect on fertility in East Java. Income has a significant negative effect on fertility in East Java.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Investasi, PDRB, dan UMK terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada sektor industri pengolahan di Germakertosusila Plus. Penelitan ini menggunakan explanatory research. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diambil dari dinasi terkait yang berupa data time series (tahun 2010-2016) dan cross section (7kabupaten/kota) dengan objek penelitian pada sektor industri pengolahan di Germakertosusila Plus. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah analisis Regresi Linier Berganda. Hasil pengujian ini menunjukkan bahwa Investasi, PDRB dan UMK berpengaruh secara bersama sama terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri pengolahan di Germakertosusila Plus pada tahun 2010-2016 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 0,99% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Secara individu hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Investasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, sedangkan PDRB dan UMK berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri pengolahan di Germakertosusila Plus.

Abstract

Inflasi dan investasi merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh inflasi dan investasi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat di Pulau Jawa tahun 2006-2016. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda dan Analisis Jalur atau Path Analysis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel inflasi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, variabel investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, variabel inflasi dan investasi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat dan variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat di Pulau Jawa Tahun 2006-2016.

Abstract

Abstract The Village Fund Allocation (ADD) given to villages in the Jember Regency region gives greater hope for the realization of equitable development. The implementation of the ADD policy provides a significant change, villages that used to get a budget from a very limited central government that is centrally managed by government agencies above, the village now has a large enough budget and is given the authority to manage it independently. The purpose of this study was to: (1) determine the condition of the Mrawan village community before and after the ADD, (2) determine the socioeconomic impact of the ADD on the economy of the Mrawan village community. This research can be classified into descriptive research types. This research was conducted in Mrawan Village, Mayang District, Jember Regency. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis technique used is data analysis with qualitative methods with the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that after ADD the condition of the community around the village of Mrawan earned additional income by participating in the development activities provided by the Village. In addition, the social impacts caused by ADD include increasing community income, better living conditions, better village facilities.
