Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Penerapan Metode Concept Mapping (Peta Konsep) dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Gerak Di MAN 1 Palembang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design dengan metode Eksperimen Semu (quasi eksperiment). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 58 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan metode Concept Mapping lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran konvensional (metode diskusi). Hal ini dapat dilihat dari perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan (uji-t) menunjukkan sebesar 2,988>2,003, artinya thitung lebih besar dari ttabel, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hasil analisis peningkatan rata-rata ketuntasan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen mencapai 87% sedangkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas kontrol 76% artinya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Maka, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa metode pembelajaran Concept Mapping berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikiri kritis siswa di MAN 1 Palembang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning model Challenge Based Learning on the critical thinking ability of environmental materials. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. Sampling was used by using purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study class X.2 as the experiment amounted to 20 and class X.3 as the control class amounted to 21 students. The results of this study indicate that the average N-gain of the experimental class is 0.61 which is in the medium category and the average N-gain for the control class is 0.24 which belongs to the low category. Data analysis using t-test with significant level 0,05 obtained tcount = 5,674 while ttable = 1,685 seen that tcount ttabel. Therefore (Ha) accepted and (H0) rejected thus can be concluded that the learning model of Challenge Based Learning has an effect on critical thinking ability of class X SMA 4 Prabumulih.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Learning Cycle 5E learning model on the mastery ofthe concept of human circulatory system. This research was conducted at State Junior HighSchool 19 Palembang on January 04 until February 19, 2017. The research method used in thisresearch is a quasi experiment with Noquivalent Control Group Design research design.Population in this study all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 19 Palembang consisting of 8classes, amounting to 298 students. Sampling was used by using purvosive sampling technique.The sample of this study class VIII.7 as the experiment amounted to 38 and class VIII.8 as acontrol class amounted to 35 students. In the learning process, experimental class is taught byusing Learning Cycle 5E model and control class is taught with Direct Intruction model. Dataretrieval uses conception master test with open multiple choice form which has been tested forits validity and reliability. The results of this study indicate that the average N-gain of theexperimental class is 0.69 which belongs to the medium category and the average N-gain forthe control class is 0.30 which belongs to the low category. Data analysis using t-test withsignificant level 0,05 obtained tcount = 6,568 while ttabel = 1,669 seen that tcount. Therefore(Ha) accepted and (H0) rejected thus can be concluded that there is a significant influence onLearning Cycle 5E learning model on the mastery of the concept of circulation system ofhuman class VIII SMP Negeri 19 Palembang

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to look at the effect of Concept Maps and BDK on circulatory system material in humans on the mastery of student concepts based on the Bloom Tax Revision C1-C6. Methodology is an experimental Quasy which compares between two methods. The results showed that there were significant differences between before and after treatment with Concept Maps and BDK with average N -Gain being 0.31 for Concept Maps and 0.41 for BDK, where in all categories showed a significant increase after treatment, except C6. This result shows that concept maps and BDK are highly recommended as a method especially mastery of student concepts approach to mastering learning outcomes, recommended for originating from the Koran, which is highly application in the field.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine an effective method between the concept map and the concept dichotomy chart (BDK) of biodiversity on student learning outcomes. The methodology used is Quasi experimental design using the design of The Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection techniques used were interviews, tests and documentation. Quantitative data analysis used SPSS Version 22. The results showed that there was a significant difference between before and after treatment with the Concept Map and Concept Dichotomy Chart (CDC) with an average Concept Map of 71,07 and CDC 94,28. All categories showed a significant increase after treatment. In this study it is said that the Sig. (2 tailed) is less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it is concluded that the learning outcomes of Biology taught using the Concept Map and Concept Dichotomy Chart (CDC) learning method on biodiversity material can be used to improve learning outcomes, especially students' mastery of concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Learning Cycle 5E learning model on the mastery of students' concepts on VII class in environmental contents. Variable in this research is Learning Cycle 5E learning model as independent variable and mastery of concept as dependent variable. The sample of this research is VII class 3 as experiment class and VII.4 class as control class. This study is a quasi experiment with Non-equivalent Control Group Design research design, while data collection techniques used are interview, written test (pretest-postest) and documentation. The written test (pretest-postest) is used to see students' mastery skills after applied Learning Cycle 5E learning model. Analysis of test data using t-test with a significant level of 5%. Based on hypothesis test of control class data and experimental class hence obtained sig value 0,000<0,05, significantly different. The overall experimental class posttest score can be said to be excellent, with an average gain of 84.00, while the mean value of the control class is 73.33. Based on this it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the implementation of Learning Cycle 5E learning model on the mastery of students' concepts on environmental VII class. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the learning model cooperative learning type thinking pair square affect the skills of science process students of VII class. This research uses quasi experiment method (quasi experimental ) research design with the matching only pretest-posttest control group design . Sampling by saturation sampling . The research sample is VII.1 class as control class and VII.2 class as experiment class. The instrument used in this study is a question in the form of multiple choice and essay, observation sheets science process skills of students and teacher observation sheet activities regarding adherence to the type of learning model cooperative learning Think Pair Square. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the science process skills between students who follow cooperative learning model type think pair square with conventional learning model (discussion, lecture or question and answer) on the subject of the characteristics organism on VII class junior high school shown by hypothesis testing . The results of statistical calculations obtained t-arithmetic = 5.375 and t-table of 1.676 with dk (degrees of freedom) of 50 at a significant level of 5% so t-arithmetic > t-table that is 5.375> 1.676 . Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the influence of think pair square model on the skills of students' science processes in the experimental class on the subject of the characteristics of organism on students in VII class in junior high school. Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the learning model Attainment Concept Model (CAM) effect against High School Students Critical Thinking Skills. This research uses quasi- experimental method with Pretest - Posttest Research Design Control Group Design . Sampling is done by saturated sampling technique. The sample of this research is X.1 dan X.2 class of science group study. The results showed that there are differences in critical thinking ability at animalia material. Improvement Critical thinking ability can be seen in the results before using learning model indicator that are Analysis, Evaluation, Inference (Conclusion), Explanation, Self regulation are 36%, 37%, 41 %, 45%, and 46 %. After using Learning Model on the indicator interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference (conclusion), explanation, Self-regulation (setting themselves) are 80%, 84%, 85%, 85%, 83% and 84%. The results showed that learning model can enhance students critical thinking ability. The results of the statistics obtained tarithmetic = 3.474 and ttable = 1.666 with df (degrees of freedom) by 73 with a significant level of 5%, therefore tarithmetic > ttable is 3.474> 1.666 and 0.001 significance value> 0.05. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the influence of learning model Concept Attainment Model on students’ critical thinking skills for X class. Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of method of Mind Mapping to learning activities of students on classification of living things material in VII Class at one of Junior High School in Palembang. Research methods used in this research is a Quasi Experimental Design. The population in this research is the whole students in VII class of Junior High School that consist of 2 classes numbered 64 students. Sampling that used is purposive sampling technique. The sample of this research is VII.1 class with 32 students as experiment class and VII.2 class with 32 students as a control class. On the process of learning, experimental class taught by using Mind Mapping method and the control class by using the conventional methods (discussion group). Data collection is using the observation sheet of student learning activities that have been tested using the formula of Aiken's v. The results of this study showed that the average student learning activities on the experimental class in 2 meetings i.e. 79, 2% of students who have been active with very active category. On the control class that the percentage of liveliness is 73,90% students with active category. The results of data analysis is using t-test with significant level 0,05 obtained tarithmetic = 3,775 while ttable = 1,671 so tarithmetic > ttable. Therefore Ha is received and H0 is rejected. It can be inferred that Mind Mapping methods can affect tostudent learning activities. Keywords: classification of livings learning activity, mind mapping, science

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning strategy the power of two on the activity of students in Biology learning. This research design uses posttest-only control design with quasi experimental method. The population in this study is the entire class in X class in one high school at Palembang consisting of 5 classes, with 141 students. Sampling is using purposive technique. The sample of this study is X IPA 3 class with 36 students as experimental class and X IPA 2 class with 36 students as control class. In the learning process, the experimental class is taught by using the power of two learning strategy and control class using conventional method (lecture). Data collection is from observation sheet and questionnaire of student learning activity which have been tested its validity by using Aiken's V formula. The result of this study shows that the average of student learning activity in the experimental class in 2 meetings is 83,05% of the students who have been active in very active category. In control class, the percentage of active students 55,46% is active category. Result of data analysis that is using t-test with significant level 0,05 obtained tarithmetic = 9,693 while ttable = 1,994 seen that tarithmetic > ttable. Therefore, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected thus it can be concluded that the power of two's learning strategy can have an effect on student's learning activeness. Increasing the liveliness of learners can optimize the motivation, cooperation, responsibility, reading interest, and learner activity in the learning process.
