Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk adalah 1) Untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran alat peraga guna  meningkatkan minat siswa pada sistem rem model disc break dan drum brake  di SMK PN 2 Purworejo. 2) Untuk mengetahui efektifitas media pembelajaran alat peraga bagi siswa pada mata pelajaran sistem rem 3) Untuk mengetahui media pembelajaran alat peraga bisa meningkatkan minat siswa pada mata pelajaran sistem rem. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Reseach and Development (R & D) prosedur pengembangan media pembelajaran sistem rem cakram dan tromol meliputi, Analysis, Design, development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE). Hasil penelitian ini  Pada minat belajar siswa menunjukan bahwa minat belajar siswa yang tidak menggunakan media rem cakram dan tromol dan yang menggunakan media rem cakram dan tromol. Perbandingan minat belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 68,69%  dan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen71,88%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi yang dikembangkan di SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dan relevansinya dengan kebutuhan industri servis mobil. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian (1) relevansi kurikulum SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dengan kebutuhan industri servis mobil di Kabupaten Sleman untuk bidang engine sebesar 100%, chasis 100%, dan kelistrikan 91,67%; (2) kompetensi yang dibutuhkan industri servis mobil yang tidak disediakan dalam kurikulum untuk bidang engine sebesar 15%, chasis 4%, dan kelistrikan 0%; (3) kompetensi yang tidak dibutuhkan industri servis mobil namun dilaksanakan dalam kurikulum untuk bidang engine dan chasis 0%, dan kelistrikan 0,08%; (4) kompetensi yang dibutuhkan industri servis mobil dan ada dalam kurikulum tapi tidak dilaksanakan di SMK untuk bidang engine sebesar 22,88%, chasis 14,60%, dan kelistrikan 12,02%. Kesimpulan secara umum adalah bahwa kurikulum dalam kategori relevan, namun ada beberapa kompetensi yang tidak terlaksana. Kata kunci: relevansi, kurikulum, dan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan dunia industri. RELEVANCE OF VOCATIONAL CURRICULUM COMPETENCE OF LIGHT VEHICLE ENGINEERING EXPERTISE ON INDUSTRIAL WORLD NEEDS IN SLEMAN REGENCYAbstractThis research aims to find out a competence which was developed in SMK of light vehicles engineering skill competence and its relevancy by the need of car service industry. This research is a descriptive research. The analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. The result shows that (1) the curriculum relevancy of SMK light vehicles engineering skill competence and the need of car service industry in Sleman in engine field is 100%, chassis 100%, and the electricity 91,67%; (2) the competence needed in car service industry which is not provided in the curriculum in the engine field is 15%, chassis 4%, and the electricity 0%; (3) the competence which is not needed in car service industry but provided in the curriculum, in the engine and chassis field is 0%, and the electricity 0,08%; (4) the competence needed in car service industry and is available in the curriculum but is not provided in SMK, in the engine field is 22,88%, chassis 14,60%, and the electricity 12,02%. The general conclusion is that the curriculum is in the relevant category, but some competencies are not developed.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Develop a work-based learning-based industrial practicum platform; (2) Know the feasibility of a work-based learning-based industrial practicum platform; and (3) Know whether there is an effectiveness of student learning with a work-based learning-based industrial practicum platform. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the Four-D model, and the research subjects are class C students as an experimental class with a total of 21 students and class B students as a control class with a total of 22 students. Data collection uses a questionnaire method to determine the feasibility of the media used for research and written test questions in the form of multiple choice with a total of 20 questions. The data analysis test used a normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The research data showed that: (1) The procedure for developing practical learning media based on work-based learning includes the defining stage, planning stage, development stage, and dissemination stage; (2) Work-based learning media is feasible to use as a learning media in light vehicle electrical maintenance subjects. This can be proven from the validation results of media expert lecturers who showed 82.50% of the score indicating valid criteria. Validation by material expert lecturers showed 78.75% of the score obtained, indicating quite valid criteria; and (3) The t-test results (t-count = 6.021 and p = 0.000) prove that the work-based learning-based practicum platform made is effective for improving student learning outcomes. This is shown through the response of trial students, which includes small group trials, obtaining 77%, which includes five students, and large group trials, obtaining 80.50%, which includes 15 students. The normality test obtained p = 0.059 in the control class and p = 0.115 in the experimental class because p> 0.05 indicates that both groups are normally distributed. Through the homogeneity test, F count = 0.762 with p = 0.388 because p > 0.05, the two groups have homogeneous variants. Thus, the industrial platform practice based on work-based learning can improve student learning outcomes.
